Customer Ratings & Reviews

It's black. It's USB. It's 6 feet long. It works. In the crowded world of USB cables, this one stands supreme. Clad in a continuous ribbon of black thermoplastic, the internal workings (although hidden) surprised me with both the function and character of design. I only wish every item in my life was as spectacularly competent and trustworthy. It is a modern wonder, to be sure.

This cable is quality! I have run into the issue of a cable of mine being just a foot or two short so many times and this cable extension is a lifesaver for situations like that! It’s also very well built. I don’t worry about this cable fraying over time or having connector issues which provides great peace of mind! It’s been very convenient to be able to carry shorter cables and this extension instead of several 10 foot cables. Saves me a ton of space in my backpack!

This is a perfectly serviceable extension cord for the price. The wire is quite thick and should resist bending, and it can even be connected to a power adapter to extend the reach of smartphones and other devices that use USB power. I originally purchased this to substitute for an Oculus Quest 2 link cable, but my PC was unfortunately too low-spec for VR. However, so long as it's paired with a matching USB 3.0 cable, the Oculus app does recognize the extension cable as USB 3.0 and it passes the minimum requirements to be used for linking.

I’m really happy with the Insignia 6-foot USB 3.0 extension cable. It’s well made, easy to use, and gives me the extra length I need when a standard USB cable isn’t quite long enough. The 6-foot length is very convenient for keeping my setup organized, and the connection has been reliable. Overall, it’s a simple but very useful accessory and a great cable to have around.

If you just need a few more feet to plug something in (USB) this is the perfect product i used it to plug in a USB strip that i had mounted on my desk so i have easy access to the USB ports on my desktop computer this helps a lot so i don't have to move my computer to quickly plug something in and support USB 3.0 so fast data transfer and reasonably long to reach these long distance accessorys

This 3.0 6 foot cable is great! I don't think i Need a longer cable by any means. I just Need a charging cable as an extension for My phones cable so i can watch videos From my phone as it charges. That's just Basically all i use it for. 6 feet plus another 3 1/2 feet is plenty enough for me. I will Say i was surprised as to how thick the Cable is. It is as thick as a extension cord. Its not all thin like a smartphone cord. Thick As say a HDMI cable. And the ends are Secure once plugged together. I am very Pleased with how it works. Im using it now While typing and lying on my bed. I hope It will last long time. I've had other cables Just stop working. Its not braided its a Solid stiff cable. I don't like the thin braided Cables for anything. (No cloth coating).

The Insignia 6' USB 3.0 A Male to A Female Extension Cable is excellent! It works perfectly, providing a reliable connection with fast data transfer. The length is just right, and the build quality feels durable. Definitely a great purchase!

Works fine. Allows me to make connections in certain applications. Long enough to stretch across my desk.

I have a baby monitor that is powered over USB and I needed a longer cord. This did the trick. The 6’ cord neatly fits into a 5’ section of wall-mounted panduit with enough slack on either end for connections. I haven’t used this for data transfer so no idea how it stacks up there, but for my purposes it is great.

I need a longer USB cord for a set of RGB light strips that came with my TV Stand. Long story short, the cord that came with the RGB lights was way to short to reach my TV’s USB port. This purchase allowed me to plug my RGB lights into my TV without needing reassemble my TV stand. Works as planned.

Bought this because the computer didn't have drives or sd card reader. Also the front USB connects were black, so I am assuming they are USB 2.0. This cable is connected to the USB 3 in the back. It works. i haven't found any problems with it. The cable appears to be well made using good quality materials. It fits well. Time will tell.

Though many may be led off by the brand "Insignia", do not be misled, this is a great cable. It is the simple USB 3.0 cable extension, but has good quality. It's as simple as it can be, and the price was unmatchable. Easy to set up and use.

This cable was perfect for needing to reach that little extra distance...also great quality!

I needed this for connect my LED light to the outlet. It is awesome. It would be nice to have it in different colors.

Very robust extension. There's a 12 foot variant as well that I have. Very high quality.

Good length, great for moving the connection point when you frequently need to swap devices.

Got this thing because I’m a PC user and I have an Xbox. So I wanted away that I could extend my cables to where my Xbox can stay stationary on my entertainment center and to where I can still play keyboard and mouse on the couch. I could just get a Bluetooth receiver for both my keyboard and mouse, but that would’ve meant that I need to get a whole new keyboard and mouse which I did not want to do. So I just ended up getting this extension, getting a USB type a hub and then plugging my keyboard and mouse straight into it. So far, it’s worked great.

Wonderfuly easy to use, gets the job done. It was a good length to use, as I needed to add a second mouse and keyboard to the other side of my desk.

I used a USB extension cable to reach a device that was too far from my computer. It worked as expected with no noticeable issues, and made the setup a lot more convenient. Simple but useful for organizing cables and improving reach.

Everytime I go to this bestbuy Im always greeted with the coolest people and they always rush to help me find what I need, even if it’s as silly as a cable. Great cable but shout out to the even cooler staff!
