I almost never have a problem with anything I purchase from Best Buy, and really can't recall the last time I returned anything. These batteries were a deal when i saw them, and even though I never used this brand before, thought I'd try them. I use a lot of AAA batteries in my home, so a box of 48 for less than $7 was a deal. But, sometimes you do get what you pay for. I found these batteries to be extremely weak, if they powered anything at all. Many times I'd have to mix them with another brand of battery (if remote or whatever I was needing batteries for used like 4 bats) just to use them. After trying these in several things around the house, I finally gave up and went back to the brand I've been using without a problem (Amazon Basics, excellent battery, lots of juice, good price). I still love Best Buy, but won't be buying these again.

These are tough to review at this point because you really need to wait and see how batteries perform over the long haul. At this point all I can really say is that when I put them into things they work and the overall build quality seems fine. So far so good. I have had some cheap batteries with an outer shell that seemed to be splitting or poorly adhered but these are fine. I like the very compact packaging. I have noticed that some brands have gone to a big cardboard backer for batteries, I am assuming for display in the store purposes, but that makes them more difficult to store at home. Can't give them 5 stars now because I don't know how they will hold up. Might be unfair but that's how it goes.

Our kids have RC cars that use AA batteries. As you can imagine, they seem to go through them really quickly. We tried rechargeable batteries but they just don’t seem to hold up as well as traditional disposable batteries. These are working great so far. Best of all, these occasionally go on sale for nearly 50% off. With the amount that you get in these 48 packs, you can usually afford to wait for another sale on these before you’re out of batteries. I can’t tell any difference between these and any name-brand batteries. I’m sure you can get better batteries but at the price these are occasionally offered at, it can’t be worth the premium.

When BB marks these batteries down, at least once or twice a year I buy a box of the double AA's, triple AAA's, or the combination carton (contains a few C's, D's, a 9-volt, some AA's, some AAA's). Same review I wrote for these same batteries in the AA size: Simply put, when BB marks these down for a deal of the day, it's a great buy - stocking my closets and pantry with reliable batteries is always needed. I have gadgets all over the house, and a 16 month old daughter with MANY baby/kids toys, all of which require batteries regularly. These batteries last as long as Die-Hard, Energizer, and Amazon Basics and the packaging is sturdy and easy to open.

My mini-rant is that they have the technology to put about 10 times as much juice in batteries, but they don't seem interested in doing that because they won't sell as many that way. Talk about adding to the landfills. So, until they do something to improve the life of batteries (beyond charging twice as much for batteries that only last 1.25-1.5 times longer), I am going with the cheaper brands that seem to do the job. These are as good as any Duracell or Energizer and are about 1/4 the price when purchased on sale. Don't give these name brands yahoos the satisfaction of paying 4X as much just because they market more. These batteries are a great deal (when on sale). Even a great deal when not, but I recommend stocking up when they are available as a daily deal.

I've been using this batteries for a couple of nightlights around my home. For the first 5 days batteries give a glow of eye blinding bright light, after that 5th day, light dims to 50%, i thought it was the light bulbs giving up but change another set of new batteries and noticed it was this batteries. Conclusion batteries die quickly, it will do the job don't get me wrong but don't expect long term high power batteries from this batteries.

I needed batteries because I have a lot of small children which means lots of small chidlrens toys. I just wanted a large amount of batteries for the cheapest amount of money. I am not one of this people who has to have name brand everything especially on small items like batteries. Far as I'm concerned it lasts about the same as duracell. For the price I paid, you can't beat this. I am glad that they had the best buy brand in stock and if they have more sizes I will probably buy more. Folks remember, there is no difference between fruity O's and fruit loops.

    Poor Battery Life

I'm a hunter and wild game observer and run 8 trail cameras of various brands. I have a remote camp where I rely on my trail cams to record people up to no good. BB's previous in house brand of battery lasted 4-6 months over the winter in conditions down to well below zero. These didn't last 3 months in warm and moderate temperatures through the summer and early fall. I can't recommend them at all and won't buy any more even when they are on sale for $8.99 for 60 with free shipping.

This is my first time buying batteries in bulk and am very glad I did so. It has come in so handy when my remotes needed new batteries and more recently, the batteries saved the day when my grandsons were visiting and needed batteries for their toys. It was such a relief to have extra batteries on hand which literally saved the day when the boys needed the batteries for their electronics. I will continue to buy in bulk for that reason again. Also, it saves a lot of money to buy them this way. I highly recommend it.

Bought these batteries while in store to purchase a few other items. My 12 year old son saw them on the shelves and reminded me I was supposed to by batteries for his nerf guns. I purchased them and now we having a bast play nerf war. The batteries charge have lasted longer than expected and the the number of batteries in the pack have allowed me to replace all the batteries through out my house that my son had removed to keep his guns firing with plenty left over for Xbox controllers, WII controller, and full armory of high tech nerf guns. Thanks Best buy

First of all, I really like the packaging. It is a lot harder to lose the box with batteries that it is to lose a piece of cardboard that I will inevitably fling somewhere and lose for the next 3 months. So far, the batteries have held up well. I mostly use them for remotes. I can't quite review how long they last because I've only been using them for a few days. I hope they will last long but even if they don't last years, I have a good amount to go through before needing to buy more.

Once Best Buy started selling these Insignia batteries in this much quantity at such a bargain price I had to purchase them. I've never tested them against other brands like Duracell or Energizer batteries. But these seem to hold their own. And at this price even if they are just a little weaker than the other brands I have no reason to hesitate swapping them out and dropping in a new set with plenty more batteries to spare.

These are terrific batteries! I got these at a clearance sale, so I thought a year maybe two before they expire? Expiration is April 2022. I think I can use up these batteries in five years time. I've tried bargain batteries before. The biggest problem is the number of dead batteries in the batch. Sometimes it's as high as 1 out of 5. I've used about a dozen so far and no duds yet. Other times, bargain batteries don't fit correctly. Nope, no problems there. The devices all operate at full power as far as I can tell. It looks like they will live up to their stellar reviews.

I like these batteries for the most part. Honestly, they are average batteries with average performance. They are a great value...when they are on sale. Otherwise, I would not pay regular price on them. I stock up when they are on 'Deal of the Day'. If you are looking for heavy duty performance, then you need to spend quite a bit more for the other brands. For your basic needs (remotes, flashlights, headlamps, etc.) then I think these are a decent option.

These batteries are every bit as good as the Big name brands, and when you get them on the Deal of the Day, they are one of the best values around. I bought a pack to use in my trail cameras, since they take 6 to 8 batteries (depending on brand) each. I was pleasantly surprised with the length of time they lasted, especially being exposed to cold temperatures. I sat the cameras out in August and in the end of November the batteries were still showing well over half life.

These batteries are at best the throw away no names that come in a dollar toy. Every battery I've installed has been completely dead or near that. From not even having power to turn on flash lights to not being able to power my grand kids toys. I have a G602 wireless mouse that is supposed to last thousands of hours on fresh batteries that only last a few days. It even shows me the battery level and most when I install a fresh set say replace batteries soon at 5%.

These batteries work just as good, maybe better, than the high priced national brands. Don't waste your money on those if you have a household like we do. A couple of console game controllers, bluetooth portable speakers in the kitchen, out back, in the garage. Probably 2 remote controls in each room that has a tv in it. I've bought the AA and the AAA on sale and each time kicked myself for not buying more.

I didn't have much expectations for this brand since it was not a reputed one (IMO) but couldn't pass on the sale price. But I have been pleasantly surprised with the quality and longevity of these batteries. I have these in some flashlights I have lying around the house which I use once in a month or so and in a hair trimmer. They have worked decently well for the price. They did lose their charge after about couple of times - total of about 20 minutes if I had to guess (in the trimmer). But for the price it was worth it.

I love Best Buy's name brand batteries. These batteries work just as good as the top name brand but you get soooooo much more. I used the Dynex batteries before they changed to Insignia batteries and they are just as good. These batteries work perfectly in my LED night lights and they last for 12 to 14 day stretch before I have to switch them out for new one's. Saving a lot on the electrical bill. Those little 5 watt bulbs add up every night on your ConEd bill. I buy when they're on sale for a greater amount and a greater deal. Thanks much.

AAA batteries seem to be a way of life in our house. Remotes, toys, calculators are always being used. These batteries are a great alternative to the more expensive batteries. As I've always read as long the batteries are alkaline, it doesn't matter who makes them. Also, the packaging for the batteries is great because it makes it easy to keep together.
