I got rid of Direct TV two years ago and watch local channels and stream with Netflix , Amazon Prime and Google Play. I had three other antennas but for some reason I couldn't get channel 2. With the Insignia Antenna I now get that channel on all three TV's. Sometimes I lose a channel if there are weather related problems but it doesn't happen often.

I live 20 miles from the broadcast city, not good reception - get a powered one if not in city. Cable is short, so tough to find a place to put it too.

I have a roof antenna for my local programming. All local stations are watchable but sometimes signal from PBS is not strong enough without picture interruptions so I decided to add this small antenna for just PBS stations with A/B switch. So far it works great for me. It is not replacement for roof antenna.

I had just bought a 40" LG TV from Best Buy and I knew I didn't want to pay for cable so before I went to pick-up my TV I looked for an antenna and went through all the reviews of ones in my price range. I came across this antenna on sale for $9.99 and was doubtful but the reviews were as good as those for much higher priced antennas. I needed something to enable me to watch my new TV when I got it home so I gladly took a $10 chance and headed home with my new TV and antenna. I connected the antenna and plugged in the TV and started the station scan during setup. After it was finished I was surprised to have well over 30 stations. The best local stations were crystal clear and with a little adjustment of the antenna position I was getting all the stations that were entered during the scan. This was my first flat screen TV and for $10 compared to the price of cable I was more than happy with all the channels this small inexpensive rabbit-ear style antenna received. About a week later I rescanned the channels and was surprised to find several new channels were now added. I plan to eventually purchase an outdoor HDTV antenna but for the meantime I am more than happy with the capabilities of this inexpensive alternative to overpriced cable. If you want something inexpensive and basic that does the job then you won't be disappointed with this product. I was delighted.

I am quite pleased with the performance of this antenna. I have tried multiple internal and external/internal TV antennas including the Antennas Direct Clearstream 4V (whose retail price is 10X the price of this one!). To date, this is among the best performing antennas I have tried In fact, the VHF reception with this antenna is the best of any I have tried (including the far more expensive Clearstream antenna). Indoors, on the ground floor level of my house with the antenna positioned in a window (with blinds closed) behind my TV, I am able to receive multiple watchable digital stations. At times, I am able to get most of the UHF band digital TV stations available in the DC metro area including the Maryland PBS station. Also, depending on antenna position and adjustment of the VHF (rabbit ears) component of this antenna I can get either of the two VHF stations but not both simultaneously (i.e. I can get Channel 9 broadcast stations if angled and aligned properly but must realign and raise/lower the VHF element (rabbit ears) and rescan with my TV to get the Channel 7 broadcast stations (losing Channel 9 stations when I do)). As with all Over The Air (OTA) TV Antennas, this antenna appears to be impacted by atmospheric conditions so that depending on cloud cover and time of day, my reception degrades or improves. Still, I get a selection of watchable stations at any time (just not all of them). Given that I got this on a Best Buy Deal of the Day for under $10, I find it very impressive for the price. Unfortunately, reception with this antenna is still not sufficient for me to cut the cable (yet!) which is why I only gave it 4 stars. Still, I would recommend it to anyone wanting to have a back up option for the rare instances when cable is out so they have something to watch. Also, at least for Cox cable customers in the DC metro area, it provides access to several local stations that are not available through Cox (at least for the lowest cost Cox TV option). These include at least two of the Channel 14 stations, at least one of the Channel 7 stations and at least one of the Channel 66 stations,

This HD antenna is a pretty great value in terms of price it's very smile and basic. The only issue I have is that it only works great if the antenna is near an exterior wall. I had my living room situated so my TV was against an exterior wall I got a lot of channels and there were not any problems with channels dropping out while watching something. I moved the TV 10-feet across the room and it's against an interior wall and I don't get half the channels that I was getting before. I live in a downtown area in Minneapolis so I presumed that I would get a good signal because according to the internet all the over-the air transmitters in my market were within a 10-mile radius but I still had issues with this antenna when it wasn't against an exterior wall. I suppose that for the price you can't really go wrong but if you want a hassle free over-the-air HD antenna you really get what you pay for. If I could go back in time I would have spent the extra money to buy an externally powered, amplified indoor antenna that way you know that you're going to get the best quality.
