Customers love the Roomba 960's cleaning performance, especially on carpets and hardwood floors, and appreciate its ease of use. Many find it effective for pet hair removal, and while some mention the noise level, others find it acceptable. However, customers frequently cite navigation issues and a small dustbin as drawbacks, along with concerns about battery life.

I love my Rhoomba but the battery doesn’t last as long as I’d hoped it would. It has to go and charge before finishing a job. When it does clean, it does a great job.

I was very skeptical of how well these irobots could vacuum. The sales associate at Best Buy actually was very familiar with the different irobots and said this one was very excellent for getting pet hair up from the carpet. Again I was very skeptical, but was so surprised and shocked after I let it run for 15 minutes. The collection/dirt bin was full of hair and dirt. It would be nice if the little collection dirt collection bin were slightly larger, but that's ok. I have enjoyed watching it clean as it goes around mapping the rooms, and under the furniture with easy.. I might have to get another one for upstairs..

Robot 960 did a good job of cleaning like it suppose to be. However, the battery went out sooner then I expected. Also, it got stuck by a table a few times and does not know how to get out.

So I went with the intent of buying the 650 while it was on sale. Turns out they were sold out and that the 650 was on clearance to make way for the new 690 model. So I spent the extra money and got the 690. That was a mistake. While it worked okay, it did not navigate the entire floor of my home. It would move around and do this random "bump and turn" pattern that had no rhyme of reason. Returned it the same day. Decided to step up to the 960 and the deifference is night and day (as was the price). The 960 has navigation and knows where it's been and remembers your floor plan and where your furniture is. My hardwood floors have NEVER been so clean and feee of dust and dog hair. Best money I've spend this decade!

I reviewed all the Roomba models before deciding on the 960. I wanted one that would restart after charging during a job. The 960 and 980 both have this feature as well as being able to control them with my smart phone. I chose the 960 because the price was lower and the only difference I found between it and the 980 was the 980 has carpet boost which conserves the battery when not on carpet. I use my Roomba 3-4 times a week. It is wonderful!

So I had doubts, would it really clean? I can tell you, we haven't run or vacuum since we bought it, and haven't needed to. 1200 square foot or so apartment, gets to more places than our stick vacuum can! We vacuumed regularly, couldn't believe what this picked up, works better than the stick. Wish the battery was better, like the 980, as it vacuums for a while, but runs back and charges for an hour before finishing, makes the whole process last about 2.5 hours with every cleaning option activated. Gets under couches and beds, which usually don't get cleaned often. Amazing the amount of feline hair, litter, and dander it finds!

Very pleased with the Roomba 960. We have 3 long hair dogs and have run older Roomba 600 series robots every night. Decided to try this higher level model a month ago when it went on sale for $299. It sucks up WAY more dander and dirt. Its rubber brushes, as opposed to the bristle brushes on the 600 series, do leave hair bundles which we have to pick up. Overall, so happy with the 960 I bought a 2nd one when it came on sale again at that price.

Absolutely love this Roomba. I’ve had this about 5 weeks and let it run 3 times a week. It fits under almost all my furniture including my treadmill and it hasn’t gotten stuck once. Has smart mapping so it methodically vacuums every room including running along baseboards and goes around every chair leg twice. I’m always amazed at how much dirt and pet hair is in the bin after every use. Easy to control from phone with the app. I hate vacuuming and my dyson hasn’t been used since I purchased this. My only regret is that I waited this long to buy one.

When we were shopping i talked my wife into getting the cheaper version Irobot roomba 650 instead of this one. The 650 worked just fine but i was not happy with the way it cleaned. we ended up bringing it back and changing it for the 960. Wish i had bought this one in the first place and not wasted almost 2 weeks with the other one, Our first floor of the house is about 1200 sq feet and it can clean it with no problem as all. Even though it has to go back normally twice it does it a great job. We have 2 dogs and 3 cats & 2 children so we do have to empty the bin 2 to 4 times but it beats dragging a vacuum out of the basement to do the work...yes call it lazy but this definitely worth the money spent.

Originally bought a cheaper model from a different brand and quickly realized it just drove around totally at random and only turned when it bumped into something. It frequently got stuck and had to be rescued and even after running in one room for more than an hour, it had only cleaned part of it because it kept doing the same sections repeatedly. Back it went. This model is smart enough to use to GPS to know exactly where it has and hasn’t been. It is MUCH quieter and did my entire house in less time than the cheaper one took for one room, and did a better job. Very, very happy with this one.

I am so glad that I made this purchase. I can program the Roomba to vacuum while I am gone and even check on the progress. It also alerts me if there is a problem with it. I have hardwood floors and it does an exceptional job, even under the beds. The only negative thing I can say is that the dust bin is somewhat small and has to be emptied often. But I do have 4 cats in the house. It also gets hair wrapped around the wheels. But I feel the positive far outweigh the negative. Does a great job picking up the fur. However, I have not had any of the cats ride on it as of yet. Maybe soon.

Works good, quiet and less clumsy bumping into furniture as previous models. Easier to clean and track with the app which tracks locations vacuumed.

I purchased this roomba after returning a less expensive model (another brand). I feel like it was worth the extra money in order for it to map out my house. The first model I bought just bounced around in random paths. This actually vacuums in a pattern, like I would if I were to do it manually. The suction is good and it always gets up a lot of dirt. I empty the bin every day. I like that it has an app that I can program the day/time for the roomba to clean. My only dislike is that I have an area rug with pad that it just a bit too tall and the roomba can only get on it about 1 out of every 20 tries. I wish the tires were a little bigger or the bumper bar was a little higher to get up on the rug.

I been using my Roomba 960 for about 2 weeks and it's making a big difference. I have very dry skin, so most of the dust is dead skin (especially in the winter). It's amazing how much dust it gets every time I use it. However, the Roomba gets only so deep in the corners and it's not a quiet machine. Also, the 75-minute battery life doesn't clean the whole house (~2500 sq ft) on a single charge. I have found it works best to put Roomba in a specific room, get everything up off of the floor, start Roomba, and close the door. One hour later, the job is done and the dust bin is almost full.

This product is terrific. Depending on the size of the floor space you want it to clean, It takes a few runs for it to learn the lay out of your house, but after that it does a complete and thorough job. We have ours scheduled to run every Thursday afternoon while no one is in the house. So far, it has really reduced the stress and hassle of having to sweep the floors regularly (we have all wood floors so can't really comment on carpet performance). The wireless integration is definitely worth it and cloud integration means you can check on it or start it up when you are outside the house. Overall, very pleased with this product and plan to buy another for the basement when finances permit.
