Does an excellent job. Battery doesn’t last that long and it gets lost a at times but does pretty good overall

This is a Christmas gift from my husband to me, so I haven't used it just yet. I'm very excited to put it to use! Most reviews were very positive, and I had several family members and the place we purchased our flooring from told us to get this roomba.

I finally got tired of looking at dog hair and dander regardless of my effort to keep it at bay. The first run with my Roomba required a little extra effort because it finds dust, grit and hair I never got with a broom or regular vacuum. The open glass shelving between two rooms was "dusty" 10 minutes after I cleaned it. No more! They've been clean for two weeks this time (so far). I can't believe how much "stuff" this miracle vac picks up. I've already ordered another for my carpeted upstairs.

The Rumba works well, sometimes is can get stuck under the couch. Overall, it helps to maintain the house clean.

Great performance on hard surface. Bought this one because it said it was good with pet hair. On carpet, I get a lot of hair clumps when it's done. These are certainly easy to go and pick up, but I wish it did a better job actually capturing the hair. Also, probably would have been worth spending more for the model with the automatic dirt bin emptying. When it does the whole downstairs, I usually have to empty it twice during the process. Still love it though!

Very pleased with the performance of my new Rhoomba 960 and it’s much quieter than I expected after reading other reviews. Hope it lasts a long time!

I loved it. Very easy to use, does a good job. Now, I have to use the big vacuum once in a while.

Love this vacuum. Picks up tons of animal hair and leaves nothing behind. Only downfall is that it gets hung up on my rugs.

I have had my roomba for almost a month now. I was a little sceptical at first, as I’m sure most are, mainly because I didn’t think a robot could clean this well! It almost seems like it can get more dirt up than my $800 Miele upright. I have it set on a schedule to clean every other day, and I honestly haven’t used my Miele for about a month! Our cleaning lady comes once per month so she gets all the trim, but it is nice to have a chore out of the way. I also just bought a second one for the upstairs so I don’t have to move them all around! These robots aren’t like the early ones that hit every wall and chair. They go back and forth systematically until your whole house is done. Plus they can get under furniture I would usually have to move. If you don’t want to spend 700-800 on an i7 like me, this is a great one. The i7 is just a more polished version of this robot and in some tests the 960 out performed it! I also love my 960 because of how fairly quite it is! I should say this as well before I wrap it up....I bought a neato d5 about a week before I bought the 960. The neato performed better in the reviews however out of the box it had issues, wouldn’t connect to my phone and wouldn’t even move. Which is more than frustrating when you spend so much on a vacuum. So I sent back the neato and got a roomba. The roomba I think performs great and is a lot for the money. I would recommend this to people with any home, it has charge and resume as well so if it runs out of juice it parks and takes off again when it’s charged. The bin isn’t huge but it’s not small, and it can usually finish a job before having to empty it. But when it is full it send you a notification/text from your robot that it’s bin needs emptied. This really is one of my favorite purchases I’ve made and I’m sure this won’t be the last iRobot product I buy. If your on the fence about it just go for it. They are great little robots and become apart of your family:)

We have set our roomba to run every evening just to pick up dog hair until our cleaners can deep clean the floors. We have only been using it for 2 weeks and love it but we have to empty the trash bin every other day and have already had to clean the sensors.

Good robot vacuum. It has deep cleaning and it works great. I jist wish the battery life was longer.

I did not initially buy this model. I started with the 690 model. After it ran a couple of times the 690 model was getting scuff marks all over it from my white base boards. I returned it and was told the sensors may have been bad. I swapped it for another 690, but had the same problem with it. I decided to go ahead and get the more expensive model, the 960. It works much better and actually uses a cleaning pattern, rather than just bumping around randomly. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase and would recommend to anyone looking to cut down on chores around the house.

I purchased this vacuum about 4 weeks ago and have been using it daily during the week days. The vacuum runs on schedule after I leave the house and I get notified of any incidents or if everything completed fine through the Roomba app. The best thing about if is the time it has saved us from doing all the work. It is not perfect and yes, some spots will be missed, but they are minor and can quickly be picked up instead of spending a lot of time cleaning out the whole house.

First I thought I would able to plan a map for each room. I can program it to start at a certain time each day from my Android Samsung. It does not vacuum back and forth in a straight line, then proceed to the next room. It could be because my rug is old and not very smooth. It does not stop vacuuming in enough time to get back to the charger. I wish I could program to spend only a certain amount of time in a room, then move on to next. It does pick up a lot of the dirt.

This was the best christmas present I have ever gotten for my parents. They use it every tuesday and nicknamed him ROBBIE. He returns home and the only thing they need to do is empty him. This really helps them limit their vacuuming time and they love it! Get this one so that it actually returns home and covers the entirety of your floor. It will take a few times for it to map the house but once it does it works great. Will get hung up sometimes if things move.

This is our second Roomba. This one is for the second floor. We have a 980 for the main level and were so impressed with it that we got one for the upper level where our Master Suite is. It worlks quite well. The one caution is that you need to be around the first few times you run one of these robotic vacuums so you can see where it has issues and remedy them. Once you do that just turn it on and forget it. We usually run them both when we go to the gym.

Originally we had an 860 that we purchased about a month before we returned it and upgraded to the 960. The 860 while great didn't have the navigation system that the 960 has and was too random. Now the 960 is great, you can see it methodically search out and create a virtual map of your rooms. It cleaned the entire house in about 4 hours, with 2 charging sessions so about an 1 and 45 minuets of actual clean time. It finds it's dock easily after cleaning, kind of fun to see it 'intelligently' finds it's way around the furniture and remembers where things are.

I previously had a Bobsweap and loved it until it ate its own cord. Saw the reviews for the Roomba and thought I’d give it a try. It gets lost in my house or goes over the same area multiple times. Never makes it into the kitchen. Not worth the price so, I’m returning it :(

Great vacuum cleans all the dog hair up . Only down fall is that it fills up and we have to empty it half way through the cleaning.

Although I was a bit apprehensive because of the cost, reading the positive reviews on how well it handles pet hair/dander convinced me this was the best choice for us. Was super easy to setup, both the unit itself and the app, and the instructions for use and care are easy to follow. Has a bit of a problem going from hardwood to area rugs every now and then - getting understandably caught on some fringe. But overall we are extremely happy. It is shocking how much dog hair it picks up on a daily basis.
