Excellent vacuum cleaner. Easy to set up and being able to control it and set up a cleaning via the app is a great feature. We have both wooden and carpet floors in our home, and this does an excellent job. It's also quick to learn the layout of our home. If it gets stuck, you will get notified immediately via the app, even though this doesn't happen often. We have been using it for a bit over a month. Highly recommended.

So the jury is still out on this one. Immediately I was very satisfied with the product, but then I came home and it was dead in the middle of my floor. I picked it up and put it on the charger, it appeared the base was not charging it. After messing with it for a few minutes, everything seemed to be working and a week or so later it was dead again, this time on the base. I contacted customer service and they were quick and responsive, had me test a few things and then email in some pictures. Initially they wanted to do more troubleshooting, but I convinced them to send a new base out to me. I have it cleaning wood and tile floors and it seems to do an ok job. The pattern is very random, it runs into things pretty hard and sometimes ignores the electronic wall pulling a phone cord out of the charging base. Overall I'm satisfied with it, but not blown away.

This is our second Roomba. We’ve had one on our main floor and bought another to handle the upstairs. Very low maintenance, very few problems. We have 2 cats and a dog and our Roombas keep the floors free of pet hair and the stuff they track inside. Although more expensive than non-Roomba vacuums that work randomly, the Roomba is very efficient. The wife loves coming home to clean floors, and since it cleans what I track into the house too, we’re all happy with our robot.

Good cleaning but it gets stuck many times. If you have rugs then its likely to get stuck and you have to Come and take It

My wife fell in love with her friends Roomba so she just had to purchase one. one year later it is working just as great as the first time. This vacuum picks up dirt that you would not have expected, especially AFTER sweeping and mopping your home. The app works beautifully and it is surprisingly quiet. The cons: the bin fills up quickly, the battery does not last for an entire sweep, and it does not always trace its steps from previous sweeps.

I'm not sure why my husband waited sooooo long to purchase the Roomba. That's not true. I know why-it's expensive. TRUE but WORTH IT!!! Who knew our one cat shedded as much as the Roomba collects each time it runs, which is at least twice a week-often three times because kids are ALSO messy. I love Rosie (our Roomba). This one sends updates to the phone telling us when it has completed a job. Or if the job couldn't be finished (full bin or stuck under the couch). Regardless, we know Rosie's status when she runs.

The roomba is extremely convenient and easy to set up. However the battery life is only about 60-75 minutes. With that it took 4 charges for “Roobi” to vacuum my mothers 1700 sq ft condo. Also the bin is so small it needs emptying so frequently that it keeps you from being able to just ignore the roomba and let it do the work for you. Exchanged for the 980 model and battery life is better but not significantly.

Great product. Cleans well. Wish wold have bought sooner. Gets stuck under couch now and then, but other than that it works very well

I bought this because we have a dog that sheds a lot. It does a great job cleaning up! I do wish the collection bin was larger.

Having the robot vacuum our house is certainly better than doing the job ourselves. And the machine does a very good job, too. A bit of accommodation is called for with regard to leaving a chair pulled out at the kitchen and dining tables but the result is well worth it. I expect we will be paying more attention to the ones which mop as time passes. And an eventual model which dusts would be great, too. Perhaps inevitably, we have named our Roomba “Rosie.”

overall i'm pleased with how well it cleans. only complain is it gets stuck a lot and so takes longer to finish job.

It was definitely worth the money. We love it! We have a husky and a german shepherd, can you say HAIR! well the roomba picks it up great. We do have to empty it at least once before it finishes (we run it daily, but our dogs shed like it's their job). Easy to clean. When the trap is full of hair and it goes on the carpet it leaves a trail of hair so we only use it on the hardwood. The only downfall is it sometimes has trouble docking itself but it gets it after a few minutes.

Needs to charge often. The vacuum occasionally glitches or it forgets it’s location.

Our family consists of two adults, two teenagers, multiple dogs and cats, a hamster, gerbil, and a chinchilla. Needless to say that we sweep constantly. The roomba sweeps twice a day and has pretty much removed the task from us. It cleans under the furniture where the pet hair accumulates and is sheer perfection on our tile, hardwood, and carpeted floors. Other than a slight issue with getting it hooked up via Bluetooth (which was easy to resolve), our roomba started cleaning straight out of the box.

This iRobot 960 is a decent little helper. It does a good job on both hardwood floors and carpet and transitions from one to the other with no problems. It is not meant to take the place of a full blown vacuum but it is a time saver. It paired easily with my home network for the phone app although the phone app could use some improvements. I also thought the vacuum would return to the home base on it's own when the bin was full or when it was done with the job but i don't see a setting for that in the app.

So the Roomba is pretty awesome - loving the functions of it. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it could use more control over how and where it cleans. Yes, I know I can set up beacons and virtual walls, but in a perfect world, it would allow me to control what rooms it cleans in what order or have a much better memory over cleaning jobs. As far as the vacuum functions go, it's pretty good and has no problem with the pet hair accumulated from an old hound dog and two cats!

LOVE! I love this Robo-vac! Truly, this is a life saver for me. We just had new flooring installed in our home. We tell the iRobot to CLEAN, and that's what it does! It's very efficient, and truly saves me SO much work/time having to clean the floors. Yes, you can hear it running, but it's probably quieter than the huffing and puffing that I would be doing if I was cleaning the floors myself!

I had a shark before and it wasn’t as smart as this one. This robot actually navigates around legs of my table and goes back and forth In a pattern to get the whole floor. Programming is easy though I don’t trust my cats so I’m always present when running it. It gets the pet hair and even loose litter off the floor. Overall decent vacuum for the price for sure.

This is my 2nd robot vacuum..... If I did not have a Neato vacuum before to compare to, I'm sure I would've given this a 5 star rating. The design and cleanliness of this vacuum does not compare to my old neato but it does an OK job. The roomba does not do edges or corners very well but it does rugs with fringe fantastically! I feel that it takes a lot longer to vacuum as well with the pattern it is programmed to do. With the neato, It would trace the floor area along the edges with the ide that has the brush attachment and the it knows how much area it needed to cover. The Roomba, starts from the middle and works its way out. Because of this I feel it misses spots and takes a lot longer! I wish it was designed to trace along the edges with the side of the vacuum that has the brush attachment so that maybe, it will actually get them all. I also find it irrigating that when the dustbin is full it goes back to the charging area, which is fine, but I don't receive a notification from the app until way later that that is what's happening and I think it is done. I might be returning and paying the extra money for a neato though. Dustbin is also considerably smaller than my old one as well. iRobot may have created a better vacuum but, they need to step up there game in the tech department.

Upgraded from older 650 and what a difference. So much quieter. Better coverage. Getting another one for my mom.
