For the $600 price tag, I am not impressed with this product. We purchased this product about 2 months ago. I'm tech savvy and this product has yet to clean my entire house. It usually gets stuck on very simple things that it shouldn't. When it's not getting stuck, it only does one or two rooms and most of the time it doesn't return to the base. For the money, the old fashioned one works just fine and I don't have to worry about it it cleaning all my rooms.

My wife fell in love with her friends Roomba so she just had to purchase one. one year later it is working just as great as the first time. This vacuum picks up dirt that you would not have expected, especially AFTER sweeping and mopping your home. The app works beautifully and it is surprisingly quiet. The cons: the bin fills up quickly, the battery does not last for an entire sweep, and it does not always trace its steps from previous sweeps.

This is our second Roomba. We’ve had one on our main floor and bought another to handle the upstairs. Very low maintenance, very few problems. We have 2 cats and a dog and our Roombas keep the floors free of pet hair and the stuff they track inside. Although more expensive than non-Roomba vacuums that work randomly, the Roomba is very efficient. The wife loves coming home to clean floors, and since it cleans what I track into the house too, we’re all happy with our robot.

So the jury is still out on this one. Immediately I was very satisfied with the product, but then I came home and it was dead in the middle of my floor. I picked it up and put it on the charger, it appeared the base was not charging it. After messing with it for a few minutes, everything seemed to be working and a week or so later it was dead again, this time on the base. I contacted customer service and they were quick and responsive, had me test a few things and then email in some pictures. Initially they wanted to do more troubleshooting, but I convinced them to send a new base out to me. I have it cleaning wood and tile floors and it seems to do an ok job. The pattern is very random, it runs into things pretty hard and sometimes ignores the electronic wall pulling a phone cord out of the charging base. Overall I'm satisfied with it, but not blown away.

Needs to charge often. The vacuum occasionally glitches or it forgets it’s location.

The roomba is extremely convenient and easy to set up. However the battery life is only about 60-75 minutes. With that it took 4 charges for “Roobi” to vacuum my mothers 1700 sq ft condo. Also the bin is so small it needs emptying so frequently that it keeps you from being able to just ignore the roomba and let it do the work for you. Exchanged for the 980 model and battery life is better but not significantly.

I'm not sure why my husband waited sooooo long to purchase the Roomba. That's not true. I know why-it's expensive. TRUE but WORTH IT!!! Who knew our one cat shedded as much as the Roomba collects each time it runs, which is at least twice a week-often three times because kids are ALSO messy. I love Rosie (our Roomba). This one sends updates to the phone telling us when it has completed a job. Or if the job couldn't be finished (full bin or stuck under the couch). Regardless, we know Rosie's status when she runs.

Having the robot vacuum our house is certainly better than doing the job ourselves. And the machine does a very good job, too. A bit of accommodation is called for with regard to leaving a chair pulled out at the kitchen and dining tables but the result is well worth it. I expect we will be paying more attention to the ones which mop as time passes. And an eventual model which dusts would be great, too. Perhaps inevitably, we have named our Roomba “Rosie.”

overall i'm pleased with how well it cleans. only complain is it gets stuck a lot and so takes longer to finish job.

Great product. Cleans well. Wish wold have bought sooner. Gets stuck under couch now and then, but other than that it works very well

LOVE! I love this Robo-vac! Truly, this is a life saver for me. We just had new flooring installed in our home. We tell the iRobot to CLEAN, and that's what it does! It's very efficient, and truly saves me SO much work/time having to clean the floors. Yes, you can hear it running, but it's probably quieter than the huffing and puffing that I would be doing if I was cleaning the floors myself!

It was definitely worth the money. We love it! We have a husky and a german shepherd, can you say HAIR! well the roomba picks it up great. We do have to empty it at least once before it finishes (we run it daily, but our dogs shed like it's their job). Easy to clean. When the trap is full of hair and it goes on the carpet it leaves a trail of hair so we only use it on the hardwood. The only downfall is it sometimes has trouble docking itself but it gets it after a few minutes.

Purchased about a year ago. Still works great, and gets the job done. We have 3 dogs, and Rosie (that is what we named her, its a Jetsons reference) never misses a beat. Like anything, you just have to make sure it gets properly maintained. Emptying out the tray, and cleaning accordingly. As well as changing out the filter, brush, and rollers as needed.

I bought this because we have a dog that sheds a lot. It does a great job cleaning up! I do wish the collection bin was larger.

Works so much better than the last model I had. Seems to clean faster and quieter.

This iRobot 960 is a decent little helper. It does a good job on both hardwood floors and carpet and transitions from one to the other with no problems. It is not meant to take the place of a full blown vacuum but it is a time saver. It paired easily with my home network for the phone app although the phone app could use some improvements. I also thought the vacuum would return to the home base on it's own when the bin was full or when it was done with the job but i don't see a setting for that in the app.

Had to return it to the store and bougth another iRobot model (i4) from Costco. Issues with this model: shorter battery life compared to i4. The mapping is not much better than less expensive i4. The rubber brushes do not pick dogs hair from carpets but make rolls. Good thing: picks dog hairs from floor as good as i4.

This is a game changer. It has significantly reduced the time to clean our house. The only downside is that the I have to remove the lightweight area rugs before roomba starts but that’s not a big deal. I love that it cleans the house based on schedule and resumes cleaning where it left off. I would love if it could self empty the bin as mine gets full after every cycle. But overall I highly recommend this product

So the Roomba is pretty awesome - loving the functions of it. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it could use more control over how and where it cleans. Yes, I know I can set up beacons and virtual walls, but in a perfect world, it would allow me to control what rooms it cleans in what order or have a much better memory over cleaning jobs. As far as the vacuum functions go, it's pretty good and has no problem with the pet hair accumulated from an old hound dog and two cats!
