This iRobot 960 is a decent little helper. It does a good job on both hardwood floors and carpet and transitions from one to the other with no problems. It is not meant to take the place of a full blown vacuum but it is a time saver. It paired easily with my home network for the phone app although the phone app could use some improvements. I also thought the vacuum would return to the home base on it's own when the bin was full or when it was done with the job but i don't see a setting for that in the app.

I had a shark before and it wasn’t as smart as this one. This robot actually navigates around legs of my table and goes back and forth In a pattern to get the whole floor. Programming is easy though I don’t trust my cats so I’m always present when running it. It gets the pet hair and even loose litter off the floor. Overall decent vacuum for the price for sure.

So the Roomba is pretty awesome - loving the functions of it. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it could use more control over how and where it cleans. Yes, I know I can set up beacons and virtual walls, but in a perfect world, it would allow me to control what rooms it cleans in what order or have a much better memory over cleaning jobs. As far as the vacuum functions go, it's pretty good and has no problem with the pet hair accumulated from an old hound dog and two cats!

This is my 2nd robot vacuum..... If I did not have a Neato vacuum before to compare to, I'm sure I would've given this a 5 star rating. The design and cleanliness of this vacuum does not compare to my old neato but it does an OK job. The roomba does not do edges or corners very well but it does rugs with fringe fantastically! I feel that it takes a lot longer to vacuum as well with the pattern it is programmed to do. With the neato, It would trace the floor area along the edges with the ide that has the brush attachment and the it knows how much area it needed to cover. The Roomba, starts from the middle and works its way out. Because of this I feel it misses spots and takes a lot longer! I wish it was designed to trace along the edges with the side of the vacuum that has the brush attachment so that maybe, it will actually get them all. I also find it irrigating that when the dustbin is full it goes back to the charging area, which is fine, but I don't receive a notification from the app until way later that that is what's happening and I think it is done. I might be returning and paying the extra money for a neato though. Dustbin is also considerably smaller than my old one as well. iRobot may have created a better vacuum but, they need to step up there game in the tech department.

Our family consists of two adults, two teenagers, multiple dogs and cats, a hamster, gerbil, and a chinchilla. Needless to say that we sweep constantly. The roomba sweeps twice a day and has pretty much removed the task from us. It cleans under the furniture where the pet hair accumulates and is sheer perfection on our tile, hardwood, and carpeted floors. Other than a slight issue with getting it hooked up via Bluetooth (which was easy to resolve), our roomba started cleaning straight out of the box.

Very pleased with this purchase. Ease of use is simple & does a good job picking up dirt/debris!

Upgraded from older 650 and what a difference. So much quieter. Better coverage. Getting another one for my mom.

Cleans my entire house and remembers where it has been and keeps the dog hair under control.

Gets lost quite a bit. Small bin for a household with pets. Empty twice a day. Easy to install.

What a cleaning game changer!! I freakin love this little robot! I have a 2,600sf house with tile & carpets in the bedrooms. It cleans all the floors while we’re at work & does a wonderful job. It’s just the 2 of us but we entertain pretty much every wknd & this has cut down the vacuuming exponentially. This is one of those products that you wish you had bought wayyy sooner than you did.

I vacuumed my house from 2 states away. How awesome is that? I just tap clean in my phone it tells me when it’s done or needs to be emptied. It tracks all sorts of other stuff on a chart for you to review.

This was a gift from my husband. And truth be told, I just loved it. Now we don’t have to move around with the bulky vacuum cleaner. My husband has paired roomba with Alexa and cleaning is so much easier.

This thing is my best friend. It is fabulous. I have three cats, two dogs, a toddler, a infant and a husband. I need all the help with cleaning I can get! I put this baby on a program and boom it vaccuums while we aren’t even home. I will say that it has a hard time with high pile carpets. Drains its battery quick so no good for carpets but great for hard floors.

We had another similar name brand "robot" vacuum, and it was wonderful. My wife constantly praised it, and showed it off all of the time to our visiting friends and family . But sadly, it broke down so many times (4) the company decided to give us our money back. Our lives became sad and dusty again. For many many months our household felt dark and alone like something was missing. Then I purchased the iRobot - Roomba 960 App-Controlled Self-Charging Robot Vacuum . This vacuum is a GEM! It actually looks like it knows where and what it's doing! When it's battery is tired it "finds" it's way back to the charger. We have two dogs and it does a phenomenal job at picking up all of the dog hair. We also have hard wood flooring and carpet which it does a seamless job adjusting to the floor heights. And most importantly, my wife is happy again! She walks around the house with a smile and a spring in her step! She yells out to the Roomba "Great job little buddy" from time to time. This doesn't make me jealous, I just look over at our iRobot - Roomba 960 App-Controlled Self-Charging Robot Vacuum and give it a wink and a hearty thumbs up, and think, Thanks Bro! "Seriously, it's a great machine and I highly recommend it"!

3 large dogs (medium to heavy shredders depending on the dog), 1 cat, tiny house. I wanted this to work as amazing as I'd read. My house is all hard surface except out living room rug that is where most of the hair gathers. The roomba would often decide to go everywhere except this rug. If I put it on it directly is went for the nearest edge and avoided it like the plague. It would run over the hair piles on the rug and the piles wouldn't move at all. Almost never made it back to base on it's own, for me a very minor problem. The schedule setting would allow you to pre-program one route a day. I would have it run in the early morning, then reset the program to go again when I left after emptying the bin, then again at night once the bin was emptied. Wish I could have just programmed these times in, instead of 2x having to manually do it. Our hard surfaces looked great. Bumped gently into tables and chairs, causing no damage and finding it's way around. If I had less pet hair per square feet and no area rug, this would have been worth the investment. Not for me. After a week it kept giving me errors about being full, stuck, or other random things that didn't make sense. I did return this item

My husband just cannot physically vacuum as much as needed so he got our Roomba for a manservant. Easy enough for a senior to set up, use and maintain. After running it every day for 5 days, the carpet looks amazing. With a shelter living indoors, always some hair to pick up & does so VERY WELL! We like how this bot cleans wood & carpeted floors equally well. Excellent! We recommend highly.

Easy to control and command in app. The only downer is the size of the storage for dirt is obviously very small.

Was not sure how it was going to do since I do have a "mazy" downstairs. It was able to move around and hit all the areas with no problems. It took about 1.5 hours but the hardwood floors looked great.

Love the Roomba. Got a second one for my second floor of the house. It is scheduled to run overnight and we clean it in the morning. Keeps the animal fur to a minimum, and cleans up all the other random stuff while it is at it. Going from hardwood to carpets to rugs, is no problem for the Roomba. App makes it easy to monitor and the cleaning map, allows me to see where it’s been.

I had a 620 for years but since the addition of 2 cats, wanted to bump up cleaning power with a 960. This little bot cleans better than my vacuum and has lightened the color of the carpet 2 shades (cat hair elimination). The phone app is fun. I don't have to climb between furniture to push the Start button. The app will start it! I can also program days when it will run by itself. You can edit paths and number of sweep passes, too! I love it! Well worth the price!
