We have three dogs, and this does great on the hardwood floors. However, it leaves clumps of dog hair sporadically on the carpet. Since we’ll be ripping out the carpet soon, it’s not a big deal. If your home is primarily hardwood, you should be golden. If it’s primarily carpet and you have pets, might want to step up to the carpet boost level.

I can't believe I've gone so long without a Roomba. This device makes it so much easier to keep up basic cleaning, running it maybe twice a week. I wish there was some way to tell it to only do certain rooms on a routine - it seems like that feature has said "coming soon" for the last year.

I was not sure about this when I unwrapped it at Christmas. For the first two days, I followed it around the house kind of like a new puppy, waiting for it to make a mistake. It cleaned everything very thoroughly. I had been using a Dyson vacuum cleaner, thinking that it was a great product. The Roomba picked up far more than the Dyson, which has now been sent to its room.

We have been thinking about getting a Roomba vacuum but when my cousin said they got one and it was life changing we bought one and don't regret it. We have a dog - a mix of hardwood and area rugs and the Roomba cleans them both. We have it set to start in the morning and the floors have never been cleaner.

It works great right out of the box, my wife love it. It works, recharges it self and goes back to work. Yea, it is not cheap but it works!!

We’ve got allergies in the house with cats and dogs...I am amazed how much this picks up every single day between weekend vacuumings. Dust, dander, etc. If I skip a day I have to empty once or twice before it finishes but this thing has everyone breathing a bit easier. Glad I purchased this. Easy to use.

Wi-Fi connection will not recognize password if it has other than alpha-numeric characters. We have a large area of hardwood floors and this model cannot complete the job on a single charge, however, after returning to the base for more juice, it picks up where it left off and finishes the job.

We actually purchased the Roomba 860 .... it performed so well, we ended up purchasing this one as well. The 860 now runs in our master bedroom every day (it's awesome that it can get under the bed) and the 960 runs on our first floor - which is very large, and the ability for this one to return home and recharge and then pick up exactly where it left off makes easy work of our first floor - coming home to clean pet-hair free floors every day is awesome. We were completely skeptical that a battery powered vacuum that bounced around the house could perform anywhere near as well as our 120V dyson upright - but, after over a month of daily "maintenance" cleanings with our robot buddies - a pass through the house with our dyson upright yielded minimal amounts of additional "waste bin contents". We have a dog and a cat, and we have found that the ability to kick this little guy off every day at work maintains the floors (and the hair) well enough that a once a month vacuum with our upright won't yield any surprising piles of dust and debris - that's way better than what we had hoped for the robot. They clean very well - you will want to maintain them and clean the rollers and dust bin frequently (ours is full every day) - but the time savings easily offsets the cost, IMHO.

Love this thing for dog hair, works 7/10 on carpet and 9/10 on floors. Much smarter than those bots that just ping pong all over the place, love the symmetrical lines it leaves in the carpet! App works well, easy to empty and clean, good size bin, love this thing compared to irobot one. Pricey.

Have had this for going on a month and am happy enough with it that I don't have buyers remorse. It's essentially a self-driven floor sweeper like your grandma (or great-grandma) would have used to clean up rugs and is good for keeping crumbs and dust bunnies at bay until you feel like doing a proper full-sized clean with a shop-vac or something. The sweeper brush motor crapped out after a week despite meticulous cleaning of the unit between uses--do clean the unit or hair/fuzz will wrap around all spinning parts and jam it up but good. I just took the brush off until I feel like I can deal with the hassle of getting the unit fixed. It WILL get tangled up in cords so take steps to prevent the unit from running over cords. It's very entertaining to watch and you have to force yourself to ignore it like elitist snobs ignore their staff or you won't get anything else done--we have named ours Consuela as a nod to our own snobbery. Also bought the mopping robot which is a self-driven Swiffer (named it Jeeves) and also very entertaining to watch. Owners manuals for each not very informative if you want to know more than how to turn the thing on.

Does a great job. Only problem is that it gets stuck under my recliner.

I was looking to buy a Robot Vacuum for a long time, this is a perfect buy, bought it on the promotional price. Service the purpose and the value. fell in love with the perfect cleaning. surprised to see the amount of dust collected every day, was I living in this dust all the day ?

I've had the roomba for 6 months now I am very please with it I highly recommend it. Would've rated five stars if it can empty its bin on its own.

I spent an hour watching this thing vacuum my house the first night. It’s so cool! The best part is that I can just tell Alexa to vacuum.

Works surprisingly well!! It is still fun watching this thing zip around the house. This model can even adjust to go up and down off of higher rugs. Cleans bare floors and 2 different heights of carpets and over some rugs. You can use the app to see the floor layout of what areas were covered when finished

My dog “bought” this for me for the holidays and I absolutely love it! it runs when you want to run. I have hardwood throughout the first floor and I haven’t seen them shine for so long. It works great on the upper floor which is carpeted. It is amazing to see all the dirt and dog hair!

This thing is overkill for our one bedroom apartment, but I know one day we will have a house. This vacuum cleans in a pattern. Dusty doesn't like shag carpet and you should empty the bin and clean the filter for best performance. This little guy isn't too loud and always manages to find dust and dirt even when the place looks spotless.

Works against our tough environment with pine needles, stray leaves tracked in on shoes and multiple pets - all of which are shedding. Very happy with product. Was slightly difficult to get it to connect to my network initially but now no problems. One of my better purchases this year.

The vacuum did a fine job but with a cat and dog who shed a lot, I was emptying to bin daily. I eventually exchanged it under the protection plan for the Romba I7+ to get the bin to automatically offload the debris. Very happy with both though.
