Really like the Roomba as it's suction power and technology is top notch. I love how it maps out the room, and covers the entire area - unlike other vacuums that just sort of crisscross the room. However, at $600 I'd expect it to not have an issue transitioning from hardwood to carpet. My carpet is folded over at the transition, making it maybe 1/2 inch above the floors. Every time the roomba gets to the carpet, it turns around - only going on it if I set it there. Once I place it on the carpet, it does an amazing job. I'm trying not to return it, but ultimately might based on this alone - I mean whats the point of buying something that vacuums for you if it cant go everywhere?

This thing is pretty cool. You do need to keep an eye on it while it learns your house.

I really like the iRobot but it has a hard time finding ‘home’. I read this in the reviews so I was not surprised. Otherwise it’s nice to have something else doing the vacuuming especially under my furniture.

Really happy with this guy. Used to be the top model for Roombas until recently so the price has dropped a bit. Great deal. Works much better than the Shark Ion I used to have which died just after the warranty ended.

We purchased the Roomba 960 and couldn't be happier. This thing is incredible. The amount of dog hair and dust it picks up is unbelievable. I will never use a regular vacuum again. Works great on carpet and hardwood. Do yourself a favor and buy one.

this vacuum works great. there's a little bit of trial and error with it until you figure out what you need to clean up around the house or where to place it. once you figure it out it works great!

We use it a lot but it sometimes doesn’t start because it detects a full bin even though it’s empty. Other than, it’s very smart and cleans pretty thoroughly.

Haven't used our Oreck since we got this one. Good job cleaning. Picks up well. Two small drawbacks or it would have got 5 stars. Sometimes have to empty it before it finishes and sometimes it gets stuck. One time it locked itself in the laundry room by closing the door.

I’m with this as a gift for my granddaughter she has two hairy dogs and hardwood floors. She absolutely loves it it’s dependable and really really helps her keep the hair picked up off the floor

Works everywhere in house I need it to. Works great for multiple pets. Lightweight to carry upstairs it does a big part and is a big help in daily chores I almost wanna give it an allowance lol.

We love this vacuum. It does not replace a traditional vacuum, but does a great job of picking up about 95% of the pet hair. We have 4 dogs and a cat....too many animals...basically, petting zoo, and this vacuum handles it with ease. We love it!

This is one of the better Roomba’s, and I would definitely purchase this again hands-down. It is a very efficient machine, although, it moves in circles a lot. Does a great job of cleaning, though.

I've only had the Roomba for a short time but so far it works great. It's does a good job of keeping the floors clean. It even fits under the beds and dressers so it cleans under there too!

The Roomba does a good job on open floors and carpet, gets under beds and hard to reach places, but can't get under sofa's or recliners that are lower than 5 inches, and runs out of battery before it gets back to charger. other than that does a pretty good job.

I had the 600 series before and she would get stuck everywhere, this one has a camera sensor and it's as if it can see, it navigates without any problems and cleans pretty darn well too without getting stuck

Picks up all the dog hair does all the hard work for me before getting home.

Rosie does a great job ! ! She gets in places I can’t. Did not realize how much dust and dirt I had been missing with my regular vacuum. I would definitely buy another if anything happens to Rosie !

Her name is Dynamo and because of this Roomba, my precious dog is still a member of our family. The DOG sheds a ton and the Roomba enables us to still enjoy our dark hardwood floors and her. So far since moving into our new home, she runs DAILY and my only regret is I should have bought the model that empties itself. This model does however return to recharge and then continues the job until complete but given the shear amount of dog hair, she often fills up before complete and if not at home, the house may only get half cleaned until we return to dump out the receptacle.
