I have been eyeing the robot vaccumes for a while and just never could pull the trigger. When best buy had this on sale for black Friday between using my best buy reward points and the sale I bought my Christmas present to myself. be prepared the first few times to have to clean out the bin multiple times as it will clean things even though you have just vaccumed with a traditional vaccum. now I run it daily and only clean the bin when finished. NOTE as the instructions say it will not do a whole room before it moves on thru the house it will do parts and move on but come back. I am so glad had read this in the review and in the instructions or would have thought it wasn't finishing a room. What I do find is that when I walk around now barfoot I can feel the difference in the feel of the floor. it feels like it did when I frist moved in (new hours just built). I think is due to one it does clean and 1 letting it run on a consistent basis it keeps the floor totally clean. Last night after have 30 people over for dinner my sister was still here and I had been bragging on the Roomba and wanted to show her how it works. I have a tree that doesn't have needle (Leland cypress) but litte pices you could see on the floor. I kicked Roomba on and let them watch how well it worked and all the little pieces were clean easy peazy. WHY do I only have it as 4 you ask. This is only due to the fact that I want to buy a 2nd base so I could just move the Roomba upstairs and not have the move the base but I can't find a base to purchase separately. I found bases but they aren't for this series or aren't the energy efficient version. THIS IS THE ONLY reason I have given it a 4 and not a 5.

I had seen around and always wanted one. Finally decided to get one, and I don't know why I waited so long to get it. My house is mainly all tile and I love walking around barefooted. The floors always feel clean now. It really cleans the floors and edges very well not to mention under the furniture! Set the schedule to clean while I'm at work and when I get home all I have to do is empty out the dirt bin and that's it, I get to enjoy a clean house with almost no work.

We've had the Roomba 960 for about a month now and we like it so far. It cleans reasonably well (although it does occasionally missed spots) and for the large part meets our expectations. Pro: easy to set up, intuitive app, decent cleaning thoroughness, transitions well between tile and carpet and rarely got stuck. Con: not sure if it's just the unit we got, but the battery life was far less than the advertised 75 minutes. The first day we got it, a cleaning (on tile) lasted about 57 minutes before it returned to base to charge. In the subsequent weeks (within a month of ownership), when I placed it on our second floor which has all carpet, the cleaning only lasted 36 minutes before the battery went dead. As note, this model does a good job mapping the house, however, you cannot ask it to clean a specific room like the next level one (I think the I-7) can, so if that's important to you, please keep in mind.

I owned a robot vacuum that stopped working after two years. I decided to buy a Roomba because I heard so much about them and the price was right (-$200 it's original price). The pros are that it cleans way better than my old vacuum, and in part this is because it is methodical in how it cleans, it cleans up and down the room in neat lines. The cons are that if you move the base, it gets confused! Had to move the home base and have been having issues with it; it doesn't clean as well as before so I might have to reset it. Definitely a bit of a learning curve. Also, it does get stuck quite often or it runs out of batteries before it gets to return to its home base, so I wouldn't leave the house and leave it to clean. I only use it when I am home to make sure it doesn't get stuck. Overall better than my old one and better than me having to vacuum!

This is one of those things were you say "i wish I bought it sooner". We have 4 dogs that stay inside, one of which is a 70 pound husky. This deals with all of the hair and transitions from carpet to hardwoods. The bin is fairly large but we can fill it (husky hair is insane) but you can set it to keep running while it's full and it does a decent job of compressing the debris and not leaving debris all over the floor. I'd by it again in a heartbeat.

Absolutely perfect except for one thing. The Roomba 960 could be just a little better if the app was better. If only you could direct the 960 to a room or area that you choose. As it is, it almost always starts and finishes its program in the same way. So far it’s done a great job vacuuming. A little more control with the app would make it perfect. So far it has always found its dock And it finishes its cycle after a recharge.So far so good.

My family has really enjoyed the Roomba 960 to help eliminate daily chores or worrying about sweeping/vacuuming every day. Easy to program, app is ok, and does a decent job cleaning all types of surfaces. Only a few downfalls, I feel the bin is somewhat small and requires cleaning out too frequently. This model has a tougher time on thicker carpet and it is not the quietest product either. Overall a great product and would recommend for any size home!

Very easy to set up and works like a charm. I linked it to my google home. I do wish it had a bigger dust bin. I have a dog and I have empty to bin before it has completed it's task. Sometime it seems to get lost but it shows a map of where it's been once it has completely vacuumed everywhere

I had an earlier Roomba (Rosie), but she just wasn’t keeping up. My new Roomba (Hazel) really cleans the floors exceptionally well. I have several different carpet piles in her path, hard floors, and many obstacles. She handles it all with efficiency and grace. I cannot believe how frequently I must empty the bin - real cleaning power. Rosie now, happily, takes care of the bedroom. I highly recommend this generation Roomba.

I’ll say simply this device will probably not help a very messy home but it will keep a neat home clean. To make it better I wish we could use the mapping function to tell roomba (ours is named romance) to clean a specific room. For example our kitchen may need to be swept but our living room is fine. Roomba should work with homekit. This thing have saved me tons of time and my floors are always swept. Think I’m getting the braava next.

This was an early Xmas present for the house and it’s been an excellent addition to the cleaning arsenal. It picks up pine needles from the xmas tree, kitty litter granules, and cleans my carpet pretty efficiently too. I didn’t give it 5 stars because I’ve got to empty the tank at least once while it’s running, and I only live in a 1000 square foot condo. But aside from that, it’s fantastic. It even keeps the kitties entertained!

I wanted this over the next step down specifically for the ability to ensure it was mapping everywhere it went and covered every spot. The first few times he went off to clean I watched and was pleasantly surprised to see every spot covered. The battery only lasts about an hour. Needs emptied daily with 2 long haired dogs. Covers my 900 sq ft carpet/tile floor in about 3 hours. Noise is worse on tile, can't watch tv while he's going, but I have him go while working. Haven't had hair wrap around the spinning parts, but there are spots where the long fur gets stuck. Extremely easy to take apart and put back together. Love using the app. Would like to step up to the one that emptied the bin, but I don't think it would be worth the cost.

Have been wanting to purchase a Roomba vacuum for a while to help with all the dust that shows on my darker hardwood floors from the forced air AC and heat in my apartment. Black Friday sale was my opportunity to buy it. Was a bit tricky to set up with app control, especially to get mapping, but is easy to use, and does a good job of keeping the floors clean. I have mostly hardwood floors, with one area rug in the living room. Also works well on tile bathroom floors. I've had it for a month now, and it got stuck under a chair only once. I can't program it to clean certain rooms, so I have to move it around if I only want certain room cleaned. But I'm happy with the way it cleans and pleasantly surprised that it's not very loud.

Pretty good for my first robot vac. I will say it does get stuck on our area rugs from time to time, especially the ones that have patterns cut into them. And for some reason it loves to get stuck on my recliner which hits it just right to shut it off. It does well on cleanup. Customer service is great. Our robot found dog poop one day and iRobot sent us a new robot quickly. Parts are easy to swap out if you need to as well. Most pieces are plug and play with screws. Not a fan of the pattern it uses to clean, but when it completes the job you can see the map of the areas it cleaned.

I only regret not buying the newest version that empties the bin at the docking station. We originally bought an i6 life machine and it worked ok but after I dropped it and the glass broke we upgraded it to the Romba - it was the best decision. My husband was skeptical about the cost but the difference it made was crazy. We have dogs and tiled floors and you notice when it does not run in the morning. Really love it. My only complaint is that the bin is not big enough and we always have to empty it so it can finish the job. Can't believe how much dust and dirt it picks up every day. It also gets under things that hadn't been cleaned in weeks.

This has to be one of the best tools I have ever bought. We have a golden retriever that sheds alot and I was worried this thing would not be able to keep up with the shedding but it does great. I am so amazed at how smart it is. I am not sure how anyone could give this a negative review. Oh and it is way quieter than I thought it was going to be and our floors have never been cleaner.

I think it’s over priced. I never owned any other robot but this thing just does what it’s supposed to. It goes and cleans. I don’t use the app for it so maybe that’s why it was so expensive. I se robots for $150 or $199 and they must do the same thing. Even at this price it doesn’t go over rugs and gets stuck on my stools. I thought for this price it would be smart enough to avoid going up a stool and getting the wheels stuck or going over a rug that is one inch height. It cleans good just extra expensive for really nothing. If this was $200 I would give it five stars

I like the vacuum a lot. It vacuums my entire downstairs, which includes hardwood and rugs, with no problems. The two challenges I face are the bin being so small, and it needing light to work. Both make it hard to do something like start it and go to bed. I should mention it is dog hair that fills the bin so quickly. Having smart lights in my house would help with the light issue.

As a first time owner of a Roomba, I was a bit skeptical of its capabilities. No longer! Since we started using it, it has done a tremendous job of cleaning up our new home of dirt and dust from construction, plus keeping up with the dust blown in from a nearby white rock road. Also, we have a dog who sheds like crazy in the warmer months, but the Roomba has managed to overcome that, too, and make our floors a delight to walk on with bare feet! The (very useful) app lets you know if the Roomba has a problem, like getting stuck or having a full dust bin, but the Roomba also tells you about these kinds of problems itself. It works on our LVP floor and several rugs we have down, with no problem. It just does its thing and only requires minimal attention. Highly recommended.
