My wife and I purchased this vacuum for our hardwood flooring in the downstairs of our house. We no longer had time for the constant sweeping that it required. After learning about a few of the issues the vacuum can encounter, we were able to compensate for the few shortfalls the unit has. It has easily saved us 10+ hours of labor over the month that we have owned it. We have a black lab, and it does a great job picking up his hair as well as all other debris. It has no issue climbing on to rugs, either. The bin fills up pretty fast so you need to be on top of emptying it. Also recommend the protection plan as this unit works for at least an hour every time we run it.

We bought a house with dark hardwood and we have pets. We have a cordless vacuum we used numerous times a day to keep up. The roomba runs every day and makes a huge difference. We’ve had for about one year. One drawback is the bin fills up every couple days and has to be emptied. Another draw back is that it tries too hard to try to get up on a couple rugs we own and a fireplace hearth. It wastes too much time and battery trying to climb up on those items. I called tech support and suggested they add a setting to tell roomba not to try so hard to get up on rugs. We primarily want it for the hard woods. Tech support never got back with me regarding my suggestion.

So far so good. I have never enjoyed cleaning up my home as much as I do now ;) I just wish the battery lasted a little longer which is not a big deal because it charges itself and resumes the job, but it did die once on the way back to the charger.

I use my Roomba everyday. You can set an everyday schedule, the time you want and you can control it from your phone app. It notifies you when the job is complete or of any errors. My floors always looks clean when I come home. Only reason I gave it 4 stars is because sometimes the battery dies before making it back to its charging station. But it’s usually no big deal because It’s usually when it’s done vacuuming and returning back to it’s station. I highly recommend the Roomba if you like having your floors looking clean all the time and having to vacuum less. It really does make a difference!

But! This has definitely been a lifesaver (more like time-saver really, but that’s pretty much up there so . . .). It looked intimidating but the Roomba by iRobot was really simple to set up, connect to our “smart home” network and have up n’ running (rolling?) around in no time. It’s been such a breeze just letting it roam around (sort of getting stuck but then finagling itself out of places) and just admiring the clean floors afterwards and clean was pretty brisk and emptying out the bin (our only regret was not getting the version with a larger bin connected to the Roomba’s home base).

Took about a week to learn his way around the house, getting stuck frequently. Now I run him three times a week (we have a small dog!) and he is better behaved. However, rarely can he find his way home and occasionally gets stuck or lost in places where I would expect him to be able to navigate. Easy to clean - about every two weeks, and don't forget to pull out the rollers and front wheel to clean the axles where dog hair will wrap itself. They did at least anticipate this and made it easy to clean. It's a fun toy and so far is earning its keep. Still a little bit of a gimmick and talking point when we have guests. I sometimes use the iPad remote to start him off when we have dinner guests!

This is our 2nd Roomba (battery died on the 1st right after the protection plan ended) and this a great upgrade over the 650 model. Easy to program, cleans much better...worth the investment!

I wish I didn't wait so long to finally buy a Roomba. It took about a week to get the hang of it. I have it scheduled everyday and my house feels so much cleaner. I'm really impressed. It does not go over the nonskid rugs, so I just have to make sure to take them up before it runs. I have it cover about 900 square feet and it has to charge halfway through. The capacity is also pretty small, I have to clean it when it goes back to charge but I do have two large dogs. Honestly I would have purchased the next model up that has the automatic bin cleaner.

The 900 series is an considerable improvement over the 600 series because of its mapping and intelligent navigation functions. This is a usable value-added Improvement over the random pattern generator because it ends up with a more consistent thorough cleaning job. However the Dustbin is a disappointment because it's latch is flimsy and fails to close properly or pops open when you remove it to empty so you end up dumping contents on the floor if you're not careful. Programming is somewhat friendly but still has annoying glitches that take multiple attempts to get past. Overall a worthwhile Buy but it still needs to get better to get 5 stars from me.

We turn the roomba on when we leave for work and it works great! It’s impressive how much dust it picks up with every use. We really like that it develops a map of your home and covers every corner. With 2 inside dogs that are constantly bringing in dust from outside, this product is a must!

My wife and I purchased our Roomba 960 on Black Friday. Since then we have loved having it. It has really helped with maintaining our house clean. We have two pets who shed a lot and it has made such a difference to have a vacuum that automatically cleans. The only two downsides to it is that it has a small bin. I have found though that since I run the roomba everyday I don’t have to empty the bin quite as much as I did the first day or two. Also, when I run it while I’m out, it seems to get itself stuck often. Other than that it has been a great purchase! I have been recommending it to friends and family!

Brought vacuum primarily because our dog sheds a lot of hair. After using a couple of times I have found that it does leave some items on the floor behind or skips small areas. The vacuum is great in that I don't have to sweep any more. Can just sit there and watch it cruise around the living room.

This Roomba works great. It's able to get a little over 2000 sqft of mixed carpet and tile in one charge. The first few times I used it the bin filled up quickly and I had to start it again mid battery charge. But I stuck with it and eventually my carpet got clean enough so the bot can get everything on one charge. I clean the bin nightly and it vacuums the house at noon. Easy to clean parts, just follow the instruction.

The Roomba 960 does an exceptional job and my wife has retired the Swiffer to the closet. It tracks the areas it has vacuumed and sends you a report to your app showing you the areas it cleaned. Got us, it’s perfect because our entire floor area is tiled. We do have a few throw rugs. What was surprising was to watch the Roomba pause over a spot, reverse and go forward to ensure it picked up something it missed, and then continue on with it duties. It does a great job. It memorized the floor space and with each workday, it only gets better.

Works great for pet hair and it doesn’t have any issue with fringed rugs. I’ve only had a few weeks, but it is almost done with learning where doors are and obstacles are no problem, it just goes around. Really has been a timesaver, and the app works flawlessly!!

Hands down best investment ever!!!! Best Buy got us the best price, Delivered it in 2 days, and it is fantastic . We live in Southern California, the Santa Ana winds and fires have been extreme this year . We use the Roomba every day and it never disappoints.

Owned the first generation Roomba and that was a pin plugging it in and finding the thing. This new improved Roomba, Rosie (Jetson's), does a great job every other day sweeping up the house. She works hard until she needs a break. Finds her way back to her charging station and then rests for a bit. All charged up she take a b line to room she left off and completes the job. Sends me a little notice that she has completed her job for the day. Not perfect but way better than I expected. i researched for 3 days before purchasing Rosie and am happy with my choice. Loses a star for being so frigging expensive!

I bought this vacuum for my mother for Christmas and she loves it! It picks up all the dander and hair from her Golden Retreiver and saves her the time and body-wear of vacuuming constantly. I couldn't be happier that its going to help her in the long-run!

Awesome roomba. If you are into cool gadgets that make life convenient...but this! Great suction. Only hassle is remembering to empty this thing every day cause it really does get so much of that dust and dirt off the floor. It’s a must if you have pets!

I was initially hesitant to keep this (I received it as a gift). I already own a Dyson and I'm very diligent with vacuuming- so I didn't see the point of another vacuum. But I gave this a try and I love it! If there is a day that I don't want to use the Dyson, I now have another option. It runs around the house and keeps the floors clean. I especially love how much dog hair that it picks up. It moves with ease from carpet to tile floor. This is a smart little robot and worth the price!
