Not what I expected
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was use to Bose headphones and within 8 hours of purchasing these headphones I new I had made a mistake. These are not Noise canceling headphones. I guess they could be if you have never heard Bose before. I did like you can connect two different devices at the same time, but that was about it.

Not good for my ear size.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unfortunately, I never got far with these earbuds. The largest tips they offered were too small to make an acceptable seal in my ears, according to the MyFit app which runs the test for you. So they went back.

Earbuds aren’t compatible with computers
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These don’t work with computers and they don’t advertise this anywhere. What kind of a joke/scam is Jabra running? When speaking with their support, they told me to buy a different pair. I bought these to use for work and now I need to return them. Definitely would not recommend.

Posted .Hello SUB17 - The Jabra Elite 85t was developed to connect specifically with mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets to allow you the freedom to stay connected on-the-go. Although you may successfully pair your Elite 85t with your computer, it is neither intended nor tested for that purpose. Therefore, we cannot guarantee performance and are unable to recommend this type of usage. For earbuds that are developed to connect to both computers and mobile devices, we recommend the Jabra Evolve2 Buds. Thank you.

Save your money
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I always have a problem with the seal from earbuds, but oval earbuds are the worst. I longed for my 75t. Ended up returning (after 10 days) and purchasing the Elite 7 Pro. I'm way happier with this earbud.

Posted .Hello Geek - We are sorry if the Jabra Elite 85t did not meet your expectations. The Elite 85t uses oval eargels for a more comfortable fit (your ear canals are not round!). Because the right earbud of the Elite 85t connects to your mobile device through Bluetooth and the left earbud connects to the right using a different technology, you may use the right earbud independently, but not the left. If you have any questions or concerns, we invite you to contact our Product Support Team for assistance. Contact details can be found on our website within the Elite 85t support pages. Thank you.

NOT RECOMMENDED, mediocre product & support
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Rubbish! Lousy product and very -poor support. The unit failed after 7 days of use... contacted Support and they do not have their act together. Sent me an RMA with instructions to return it to their TN facility but the shipping label sates TX. They cannot even get this right and warned me that my ticket will close in 5 days if I do not send it back or respond. REALLY???

I Would Not Recommend
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for something darker and more "in ear" than my air pods pro. However, the sound quality of these is no where near as good as my air pods pro.

||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The 75T are way better. These have no sound, base, and the treble sucks. Plus they are huge compared to the 75T. I had the 75T, swapped them for the new 85T. Went back and exchanged them the same day.

Posted .Hello KendraShayna- Thanks for your review of the Jabra Elite 85t. We are glad to learn that you enjoy the audio quality of the earbuds, but we regret you cannot find a secure fit with them. We encourage you to check out our Jabra Elite 85t fit guide to see how to find your perfect fit: jabra.com/supportpages/jabra-elite-85t/100-99190000-02/faq/How-do-I-get-the-best-fit-with-my-Jabra-Elite-85t. We recommend you try all of the different sized ear gels that come included in your package as we know that not everyone's ears are the same size or shape. You will want to find an ear gel that fits snuggly in your ear without being too tight. Finding a snug fit may take some trial and error, and you may even need to mix and match the size of your ear gels per earbud. Lastly, we now offer a MyFit test for the Jabra Elite 85t found within the Jabra Sound+ app. We designed MyFit to help you find your best fit with the Elite 85t earbuds and optimize your audio experience, improve the Active Noise Cancellation functionality, and help you feel a deeper bass in your audio. When you take the test, you will hear a tone played simultaneously in each earbud. During this time, your earbuds are checking to make sure that you have an optimal seal around your ear canal. To access the MyFit test, connect your Jabra Elite 85t to the Sound+ app. Then, go into the Headset tab and select Settings. Lastly, tap "Personalize your headset" > MyFit. Bear in mind that the Jabra Elite 85t must be running firmware version 1.38 or higher to take the MyFit test. Please do not hesitate to contact us if there is anything else we can do for you: https://www.jabra.com/supportpages/jabra-elite-85t/100-99190000-02/contact-support. We are here for you!

Nice Upgrade with Trade-offs
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Elite 85t is Jabra’s new flagship earbuds. This series comes with a slew of advancements, but with a couple of trade-offs. Specifically, the Elite 85t adds • Active noise control. ANC is excellent and has no background hiss. ANC can be set at different levels and reduces battery life from 7 hours to 5.5 hours. Works great for white noises like wind when outside, appliance hums, and such. • Multipoint connectivity. Multi point bluetooth allows two simultaneous connections. I wish this was a standard feature on all headphones and earbuds. With multipoint, I can use the earbuds with my iPhone for when I head outside, as well as with my laptop for Zoom calls. The earbuds will connect to both without having to disconnect from either. Sound is picked up from whichever device broadcasts first. • Qi certified charging case. This is a very convenient way of charging the case if you have a Qi charging pad. • 12mm drivers. This is an upgrade from the 6mm drivers in the 75t series, and deliver a richer sound. Along with the above improvements, the 85t still give you • High quality microphone. Listeners on the other end of my calls had no problem hearing me loud and clear. • Jabra Sound+ app. The Jabra app is one of the best earbud apps I’ve used. It allows for a long list of customizations of equalizer, physical button controls, ANC, and ability to hear ambient sound. It will also customize the sound to your specific audio profile after giving you a quick hearing test. I especially like the ability to switch the equalizer with presets for different types of music or speech (like podcasts, phone calls, etc…). • Ability to use the right earbud by itself. This is useful if, for example, you get a phone call and want to quickly go wireless. The left earbud connects only to the right one, not the device, so it cannot be used alone. So what’s the trade-off? Jabra has switched to what it calls a semi-open design by using oval tips instead of round ones. This means the buds don’t fit as snuggly as the 75t, offsetting some of the ANC and sound improvement from the larger 12mm drivers. The sound is still very good, but because more ambient noise gets in, it’s not as rich as it could be. Plus, the earbuds always feel like they might fall out, but never did in actual use, even during a light run. It takes a little getting used to. The benefit of this design is they should reduce the fatigue of wearing them for a long time because they don’t put as much pressure on your ears as round tips. I personally would rather have had round tips since I rarely wear the earbuds for more than 60 to 90 minutes. Overall, I recommend these because of the new features. But your mileage may vary when it comes to fit with the new design.

You can get up to 5.5 hours on a single charge with ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) on, with a total charge of up to 25 hours with the charging case. Disappointed!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just got this and i have to return it the next day. It was so uncomfortable to wear. It keeps on falling on my ear. I cant find the exact gel tips. Sounds is not that good. Cant even feel the base. I exchange it to Jabra elite active 75T model which i think is one of their best sounding earphones. A little disappointed coz i was so excited when i got it. Not impress. Too pricey on what it can offer.

Posted .Hello ActualWFH- Thank you for writing a review of the Jabra Elite 85t. The Jabra Elite 85t Is optimized for use with a mobile device such as a smartphone or tablet. Some users may have success pairing a Jabra Bluetooth device with a computer and then connecting to a softphone client such as Microsoft Teams. However, the full functionality of the Jabra device may not be available. For example, you may be able to send and receive audio, but the buttons may not work for call controls the way they would with a mobile device. We are happy to read that these challenges do not persist with a smartphone. We appreciate your feedback! Thanks, again.

improved sound, better fit for me now
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had issues in the past with some of the Jabra earbuds, as far as fit, and sound quality, but these seem to have fixed those issues for me. Only had them for a day now, but they stay in my ears better than before, probably due to the oval design of the tips. Also, the new 12mm driver goes a long way towards giving them a much punchier bass than before. Not sure these are the best ANC buds now, but they sure are alot better than many other brands when it comes to noise cancellation. If you're a Jabra fan, and are looking for new wireless buds, these wont disappoint you!
