..while they lasted. They broke after 30 days or so. Sound great, and are comfortable once you get them fitted. JAYBIRD seems to be very forthcoming with replacing the product.

Before I get to my review, I would like to first address one problem I'm having and hopefully someone will see this and address it for me: I have my Jaybird's connected to my Samsung Galaxy S5. At least a few times a minute (and sometimes as much as 6 or 7 times a minute), the audio will drop out for half a second as if it's losing it's Bluetooth connection or something. It always comes back, and as I said it's very quick but it's also very irritating. I've gone on-line to see if anybody else is having this problem and saw that some people were having similar problems that were traced to being connected to fitness apps. I'm not using any of those, it's just the phone and the Jaybird. I'm at a loss as to what could be causing this. Besides this, I have to say that I'm very happy with everything else. The X3 is everything it's advertised to be. Very simple to and effortless to connect. In fact, once it learns what your usual device is, it's even easier the second time around. Battery life is reported to be 8 hours but that varies depending on how loud you play your music. I play mine at full volume and average about 5-1/2 hours on a full charge. That's more than enough for a full gym workout. The sound quality is excellent and can be further tweaked with the Jaybird app that you download to your phone. There are a variety of earplugs included and yes, it does take some trial and error to get the one that is perfect for you (took me three days) but you will definitely find the right one. The fit is also very comfortable even after four hours of wear. I also like the fact that it's very light without one of those neckbars like other brands. If you wear one of those types to the gym, you run into problems when you're doing things like squats and resting a barbell on your neck and shoulders, or even if you're doing bench presses and lying on a bench. You get none of those problems with the X3 style. I gave this review only 4 stars because of the connectivity dropout problem I'm having. If not for that, I would give it 5 stars easily. I'm confident that someone will be able to point me to something that's causing the problem and take care of it.

I purchased these about a year and a half ago. Thought they were great. Cool design. Seemed like good quality. Connecting to the JayBird app was great because I was able to customize my own sound. Although, I have had them for a year and a half, I didn’t use them very often until recently. I don’t use them for running, exercising, or anything of the like. I listen to them while on the train to, and from work. It was to my surprise, the other day, that while I was listening, and changing songs, the left bud went silent. I tried toggling the sound on the app. I tried resetting the headphones. Tried turning off and on, but to no avail. Unfortunately, what I’ve gathered from this is that these don’t really have longevity. Again, I didn’t use them that often until recently, and it was never during anything that would get me sweaty enough to ruin them. (Then, again, these are supposedly made to withstand all that.) I wouldn’t recommend these unless you don’t have a problem replacing them often. I bought these on the advice of a work buddy, and was good with them for a while, but they just don’t last long. A year and a half might seem like a long time, but not for the price I paid for these. I’ve had my Apple headphones, the ones that came with my iPhone, left them in my pants pocket in the wash, and they still work. True story. These, unfortunately, do not stand the test of time. I guess I’m going to have to just use my Apple wired headphones.
