I'm not 2 months from purchase and I need to go back to exchange set. Lost sound from left ear bud. Bummer, I really liked them otherwise. Hopefully it's a quirk for my particular set and not a design failing. Finger's crossed

    Outstanding Sound and Comfort!

The sound quality of these earphones is outstanding (and I'm kind'a picky about this)! A couple things I did to help enhance the sound were: pick the right size earpiece (which they give you numerous options), not shove these in my ears too deep, and select a suitable equalizer option from the (free) MySound app. you can download for your smartphone. While their sound is decent by itself, the MySound app is easy to use and does a great job to customize the sound to my liking. The X3's are light weight, easy to set up & use, fit well in my ears, and do not stick out very far (~1/4" beyond my ears). While they come with "hook" features to help hold them in during more strenuous activity, I have had no issue wearing these without the "hooks" so far. The charger easily snaps on to the earphones and charges w/in 1-2 hours. While there are many comments about the charging system (complaining about potentially losing the unique charging adapter piece), I do not have an issue with it - just put stuff back where it belongs when you're done charging. :-) I originally had a pair of Senso wireless earphones which, although they were highly rated, had more of a "muffled" sound at the high & low ends. I returned them and bought the X3s and, while there is a large price difference between the two, I'm extremely happy I did this. If you are considering the Platinum color, beware that this looked more "beige" than "silvery/platinum". I bought the black version and like the color match better.

Much, much better than the Jaybird X2s

I was pretty disappointed in not only the price, but also the use of the Jaybird X2s before I lost them and purchased the Jaybird X3 headphones. There is a substantial improvement in every area of use, from audio quality to comfort/fit. I found the MySound app quite satisfying in allowing me to change the sound so that my music sounds more vibrant, whereas with the X2 headphones, you are just stuck with whatever sound options came with the headphones (unless you changed the sound options in the smartphone settings or music app settings). Battery life for the X3s is great compared to the X2s mere 3 hours. I was still jogging for quite a while (2 hours) and still had ample power with the X3s. And best of all, my X3s do not fall off at all! The silicone tips fit very comfortably in my ear and are made of a softer material (probably to conform to the ear's shape) compared to the X2's thicker tips. I was so frustrated with the X2s falling off every 5-10 minutes and it stressed me out. I was actually happy when I lost the X2s. The X3s stay on and I can continue enjoying my jog. And the price? Who can deny that $129 is a much better deal than $149? I bought the X3s initially for $129, but then a sale came and I price adjusted it down to $99 (+10% off birthday coupon + $10 off in certificates), so I had an amazing $79 deal without having to wait on Black Friday for it. Thank you for listening to feedback, Jaybird. I hope your next headphones continue to impress me more.

    Poor to no support

I was not at all happy with these for the price. A few things that contributed to my review. Price is high for an average product. Comfort of the ear buds is equal to the cheapest earbuds on the market. They actually hurt after a short time. This is due to the hard plastic design of the tips and holders. The proprietary charger is just dumb. They could have put a micro port in just as easily with no loss of quality or space. Last but not least, no telephone support. I order 2 accessory packs as I travel and that tiny little charger piece will go missing very soon. First you have to buy an entire pack. I don't need a 1/2 dozen extra large and small tips they go in the trash. So for $36 I get some tips I may need if the unit last that long and 2 tiny little charger ports that shouldn't be required. Sort of a rip off if you ask me. The up side is the sound is very good. Not great sounding but better than average or they would get one star. Don't be fooled by chat either. They cut me off when I was in line and the message states they are too busy. Then the chat option went offline as it is 23 hours a day.

Have recommended to everybody that will listen

I've gone through a lot of headphones and speaker systems over the course of my life. I guess I could be considered a moderate audiophile, although I have never had the money to buy a full set of sennheisers, DAC, and amp. That being said, I'm always chasing the best quality audio for a good price, and good convenience. These headphones are the best sounding headphones that I've ever used, wired or wireless. I was satisfied with my x1's but these take it to the next level. The soundstage is amazing. I hear where each instrument is coming from and even the subtle nuances of each. It has made me want to go back and re-listen to my entire music library to see what I was missing before. I don't have any problems with the fit, and wear them all day at work with no irritation. Battery life also lasts a full work day. All these improvements come for a price that's $50 cheaper than its predecessors. The only caveat is the proprietary charger, which I have accidentally left at home once or twice to my dismay. P.S. I would suggest messing around with the my sound app. I usually stay away from equalizers because the profiles often sound forced and unnatural. Not the case here. Its super convenient that the profile saves to the headphones themselves, and it turns what is already a great sound into one that is tweaked for your own hearing preferences.

After reading a bunch of great reviews, I was excited to give them a try. A day into it, Bluetooth wouldn't stay connected during workouts, and was a constant battle to not hear static.

Without a shirt clip, this item falls and can get lost. According tomusers, the clip lasts about three weeks. Make it with a durable clip and I would rate it 5 Stars. I have returned it.

Bought the X2 several months ago. Never fit right. Was not impressed. Lost them. Was hesitant to buy the X3. Glad I did. Fit is much better than X2, stays in place while running, comfortable for working out, great sound, and excellent noise reduction. Much better than the X2.
