I stood in Best Buy for 20 or 30 min deciding if should buy these. I've always had $20 or less earphones and so on. Biggest purchase for me in awhile but I don't regret it. Went to the gym after purchasing and they are amazing !!! Love the fact that I don't have to carry my phone or put in a strap on my arm while running I could just leave it in my pocket or floor to do my exercises. They let me be in the zone

    Great, low profile wireless headphones.

I really enjoy these headphones. They are low profile, and battery life is great considering the size of the battery. The app offers noticeable sound customization features. The only drawback for me is that they can fall out easy over extended periods of use.

I recently bought an iPhone 7 plus and i was on a hunt to get a wireless ear buds and Jaybird X3 provide one :). It was a great buy, the sound quality is great and option to control different equalizer is nice. They include plenty of ear tips silicone and foam and chances are one of the tips will allow you to get a tight, comfortable seal to maximize sound quality. Overall it's a nice buy for that low cost.

    Great for working out

I use Bose QC35 for traveling and talking on phone, my BeoPlay 8s for work and commute, but the X3s for anything active, especially working out. Perfect balance of comfort, volume for lifting weights in the gym, running outside, playing basketball, etc, and quality. All 3 have amazing quality but the QC35s are too big for active things, and the Beo8S volume isn't loud enough.

The sound quality on these things are at least a 9/10, for me at least. Great for the gym or anything really. The isolation pads work very well. However the only drawback I would say is that if you're not gentle with the isolation pads, they will tear easily.

Great packaging, good setup materials and connected website/app. Sound is good. Bass amount could be better, but overall sound is good. App helps with virtual equalizer functions. So far... so good. Let’s see how they age...

    Great when working

These are pretty awesome when working but more times than not I've run into complications... I had the original version when they first came out and they were great but somewhere down the line they just wouldn't turn on, even after doing factory reset and whatever else was available. A few years later I decided to try them again and same issue again. You're better off with Bose honestly where paying a premium you know that the product will last, similar to what I was expecting with Jaybirds. Another issue I had with Jaybirds is that the headphones don't stay in when you're running or doing a lot of jumping, no matter which ear size piece I used.

    Great for runs

I bought these ear phones to workout in. I didn’t like them at first. The wings hurt my ears and without the wings the buds would fall off. However, they are the best headphones to run in. They stay put during a long run and they don’t hurt at all. Had I been able to try these on in stores, I probably wouldn’t have bought them.

Not an upgrade in sound over previous gen

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I was excited to try this but was disappointed that the sound quality is not as good as the X and X2 even with the EQ adjustments. These don't have have that sparkly treble from the previous gens. The fitment is superior but it lacks the highs found in the previous gens. The bass feels more controlled and tight but the treble in these sound veiled and tinny compared to the X and X2. So not much of an upgrade in my opinion. The drivers are smaller 5.8mm in these vs 6.1mm and they realized its not on par to the SQ of previous gens hence the need for customizable EQs which don't solve the inferior drivers. Stick with the previous gen.

I am completely satisfied with this purchase. I originally purchased the JLab Epic Sport wireless headphones and exchanged them for these. Man the sound on these headphones are perfect. You are able to customize the sound with the app. I love it. Don't regret this purchase at all. Definitely recommend.

    Great sound! Iffy bluetooth reception

I've had these for a little over a week now and overall, the sound quality is great. The MySound app really takes these to a whole new level as far as adjusting the sound to fit my listening preference. However, I ran into an issue when running outside. The Bluetooth signal cuts out frequently with my phone in my pocket. I previously had the Powerbeats and I never had that issue with them. I've run 4 times since I purchased them and the issue occurs every time. If in the house though, there are no issues. These were growing on me but I'm afraid I'll have to return them since I mainly run outside.

Im a week into using my jaybird x3's in alpha. I have to say that its kinda a pain in the butt to get them fitted and what not but once you do they are simply amazing. No other buds or headphones come close to the shear clarity and sound of these things. They take some getting used to but worth every penny

So far including the x2s I've owned around 4 pairs in total, I keep buying from this company because of the quality they give as well their support is fantastic. If you lose something or break them from sweat/liquid call their support center and they can offer a replacement no questions.

    Okay for gym sessions

I want to love these headphones but I just can't. The plus is they do stay in place when I do sprints and other cardio activities. The problem comes into the fact that after an hour they start to get uncomfortable (I wear mine over the top of my ear) and the ear attachments that go into the ear are CONSTANTLY falling off. They come off in my ear, in the car, when I pick them up and the piece is not little or easy to find by any means. Also on a couple occasions they have made a harsh static noise in the middle of playing that hurt my ears.

    Good for a little while

I have been a customer for a long time now to the Jaybirds products. Ever since the bluebuds X (2013), and have never actually given a review on any of the subsequent products till now. I must start by saying how much I do like the Jaybird line of headphones. Yes they are somewhat on the higher end (unless you catch them on an amazing sale...ie black Friday or veterans day ($59.00 for the X3)) but when they work, THEY WORK PHENOMENAL! Now the real reason I am finally making a review about this brand of headphones. So, I have gone through at the very least 3 pairs of the X3 in as little as 3 years. You are probably wondering what is the main issue with them? Well, I can say it is not the quality (sound wise) but instead they stop holding a charge. They will last about 6-9 months of continued use (going to the gym at least 4 times a week) and charging when they say they have 20% battery or even just turn off on there own. Now, I am not trying to bash the brand (Jaybirds, owned by Logitech), I am only trying to state a review on this particular product. Please understand, I have never tried to reach out and use the "warrenty" due to my first bad experience with bestbuy not allowing me to return my bluebuds X after 6 weeks of use and stopped working. I bought one more X3 (on veterans day sale) but more than likely will be switching to Bose or even Sony in the near future as I just recently tried JBL (with Harmon) and found out they are good quality as well.

GREAT SOUND QUALITY ONLY WITH SILICON TIPS

I initially used the foam tips and the sound quality was muffled and disappointing. Before returning, I decided to switch to the silicon tips and the difference was night and day. Now, the sound quality was comparable Bose which is my benchmark for sound quality. Highly Recommend,

    Great Sounding Headphones but Defective

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

To start off, these headphones sound amazing (great mids, highs, and bass), feel like premium headphones, and are one of the best fitting headphones i have tried. The included comply sound isolating buds create the perfect seal. However, after that the included MySound app is subpar as it fails to identify the headphones when the headphones are connected to your phone. Furthermore, I don't know if the headphones I got were defective, but they will not charge with the included proprietary charging cable. I have tried them on two computers, a wall outlet, and in my car with no luck. Seeing as the battery is the most critical piece to these wireless earbuds this is major issue. If it wasn't for the battery charging issue i would rate these 4 stars (5 if they would get the app to work flawlessly).
