Great headphones, until battery died
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I loved my Jaybird X3's for 1 year and 2 months, then the batter quit holding a charge. Unfortunately, the warranty only covers for 1 year, so they died 2 months out of warranty. Loved the headphones and the app, but for the price, they should offer more help when the batter craps out so close to the warranty expiration.

Voice prompts painfully loud
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The voice prompts, such as "power on", "connected", "power 60%" are, literally, painfully loud and their volume cannot be adjusted. Despite their fidelity and the nifty app that allows one to adjust the frequency response, this one issue caused me to return the earphones.

Proprietary charger. Don't do it.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Proprietary charging "dock". They think they're IBM in the 70's. You get ONE proprietary charger so you had better be sure you take it everywhere you go and don't lose it. These won't get you through an 8 hour day listening to the radio. Don't even THINK the word "sweat" or the ear buds will start disintegrating. If you only use one earbud most of the time it comes with a nice little clip to attach the cord to your collar. It's very nice for the 2 weeks until it breaks because it's very cheap and badly designed. The sound is good over all but I found if you want bass, you have to push the big spongy ear piece way into your ear. Then every 15 minutes after that if you're moving around. Overall, not worth the premium price when you consider all of the drawbacks. Did I mention you can't charge them without their ridiculous proprietary charger?

My Jaybird x3 experience
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Poor conictivity unless you are home and have your phone close to your chest area. I also tried them outside and as I was walking I put my phone in my pocket and the music was braking up and couldn't hear it right so the Bluetooth is worse when you go outside. Also careful with the clips as they tend to scratch the cord

Great Sound .. But ..
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Kept glitching. Even when the device it was connected to was in super close range. If these are more so for athletic and sport use .. I feel the connection shouldn't have disconnected or glitched that much. (Very often) I thought I'd love them. That problem needs to be adjusted.

Please try the following to resolve the issue of your headset:
1. Move earphones to audio source (i.e. phone, laptop)
2. Try a different music app
3. Disconnect audio sources, other bluetooth and 3rd party apps; delete earphones from the Bluetooth list
4. Try different audio sources/phone (other brands, other OS versions)
5. Reset * (try this when plugged in and when unplugged)
1. Turn headphones off
2. Put in Pairing mode (hold middle button for 6-8 seconds until it says, ""Searching for your Music Device"")
Headset will flash red and green
3. Do Reset (double tap the power button)
Headset will flash Orange 3 times
4. Delete Bluetooth profile from phone
5. Put headphones back into pairing mode and connect them to your device.
6. Test out the headphones and let me know if you’re still having issues.

Headphones die within 6 months
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've gone through two pairs now. The original, and the replacement headphones they sent out. First pair started to develop charging issues where it would not hold a charge within 6 months. The headphones battery would drain and die without using them after 1 day, and the charge itself would last for up to an hour or two when fully charged. Then a bit later the left headphone started to buzz and would no longer produce any sound. After finally getting jaybird to send out a replacement, those worked well for about 4-5 months. Then the battery would start to drain within 2 days without use, and then finally they would no longer even charge. They displayed a green light when plugged in, not the red one indicating that they were charging. 2 pairs both died within 6 months.

Not sweat proof
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. They do not stay in my ears, despite trying the various plug sizes. They also aren't sweat proof by any means. I haven't even had these for 2 weeks and one day I heard a constant "clicking" noise in the right earbud. I looked and there was sweat that was starting to accumulate over the metal portion. I wasn't even working out that hard. This is very disappointing, considering the price and this has already happened with light use.

Average at best
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unless you like a random woman's voice yelling " headphones connected" every 5 minutes I would buy elsewhere. Connectivity goes in and out so much that you spend more time trying to figure out why than actually listening to something.

Proprietary dongle
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Jay Bird does not use a micro-USB to charge the device. Don't lose the little dongle or your headphones are useless. I now have a $125 paperweight. I have dozens of micro USB's. The use of a porprietary dongle is BS. It's an Apple move and I'm done with them too.

Overpriced for what you get
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sound is just OK, clip for shirt/collar broke after a month, but it's too small to be very useful anyway. Contains a number of ear fittings but none really fit great. Even without those issues, this product is priced about $60 too high in my opinion.

Unreliable product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After multiple Jaybird devices failed within 4-8 months of ownership, I received the following response from Jaybird customer service: "The headset has an average 120-charge cycle, which correlates to 2 years." So, for anyone who uses their headphones everyday, that correlates to 1/3 to 1/2 of a year of use for a $150 device with poor customer service and followup. They offered me 30% off my next device. Buy a Bose.

Connection issues inside terrible outside
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have the X2's and they are great the X3's are a big dissapointment I had all kind of connection issues I did all the resets Jaybird Customer service told me to do to resolve the issue and nothing worked they wanted to send me a set of refurbished headphones that was not an option they are only 5 days old. I returned them to get my money back. I would not buy these until they resolve the connection issues. Inside the connection needed to be clipped to the top of my shirt to stay connected outside you I could not get them to play one song without breaking up very bad no matter how close i moved my many different devices to the headphones.

Don't stay in
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. They look great but have ran a total of about 45 miles in mine and every single run about a mile in they pop out and are done for the remainder of the run... I've tried every different way to wear them and nothing works..

Poor Product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.2 days out of the box won't charge. Customer service rep asks if I have done all of their button resets, tell them I did. "Based off this information you've given me this product is defective. You can either return or it will take us 7-10 days to ship you a new pair." I found this a joke. Forums all across their website 10 different cases with same issue won't charge and won't turn on. 90% unsolved sent a new pair. At least half those warranty replacements ended being defective as well. These are a terrible product. Over hyped and overpriced. Buyer beware buy at your own risk.

poor quality, do NOT buy, damaged my ears!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i was so excited to try these wireless earbuds, finally thought i found something I could use for work, and also enough sound isolation for when my husband is recording music. With the app to control, i thought they had everything i needed. Well too good to be true. The different sized changable earbud pieces broke inside my ear, and sharp pieces have cut my ear, and they disconnect alllll the time. these are the worst, do not buy them. i cant even use them because the changable pieces are so cheap and crappy now the only ones that sort of fit are ruined.

Platinum color looks more like beige
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Be aware that the Platinum color looks more like beige than silver, which is ok if you like this color. I purchased a set of black X3's instead (and will write a review for these under that category).

Awful Fit
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Slipped out no matter what ear bud used. And forget about the wings. Trying to figure out which one and in what position they had to go on was a struggle, more then what I'd like to deal with on something that should be pretty simple. Engineering needs to go back to the drawing board on this. Can't comment about the sound because didn't get that far to give an honest opinion. Returned the Freedom a couple of weeks ago for the same fit issues. Today I decided to give these a try and they're going back. Really wanted to like the Jaybirds enough to gave them a try twice.

Don't waste your money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had mine for about 8 months now. I use it regularly for the gym and running. The Bluetooth on this is trash. I would run with my phone in my hand, when I turn my head, it looses connection. In the gym, turn my head a certain way, it looses connection. I was on my bike with phone across my back in a sling bag, turn my head, it looses connection. I had nothing else in my sling bag. It is very thin and in the center of my back. You barely cover the controller and it looses connection. I am very disappointed with the Jaybird X3.

HORRIBLE
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.WORST headphone I ever brought. Brought it for less the 1 week and it don't ever charge anymore. I tried reaching to to customer in which I never got a reply back. I try charging it from everywhere from wall charger to computer and it always green light when I try to charge it. HOW IS IT FULLY CHARGE IF IT KEEP SAYING "CHARGE ME". Overall I am NEVER going to buy this brand ever again. WARNING DO NOT BUY JAY BIRD
