Great sound. Optical input, aux, Bluetooth, and HDMI input/output.

Great soundbar that blows away the competition. Great amount bass and clarity!

I've had this sound-bar for about 10 months now, and it has done very well. Many soundbars have great high and low frequency response, but when it comes to mid range (the range in which most conversation happens) most of them fall flat. Enter the Sb400 with fantastic mid-range acoustics. This is a well made product with not only a great sub woofer but a good (for the size) set of drivers for all ranges. This product isn't without flaws though: The remote is quite small and can easily be lost. There is no option on the remote to turn it to the Bluetooth input. Optical audio has a slight sound delay when noise is made during a quiet scene. This can be quite annoying because often you can miss the first few words in a movie. The sound does re-sync after a second or two, and does not lag with lip movements like with other systems.

The sound is amazing. Can be in stereo or surround from just the sound bar.

Before I give my review I have to paint the picture. Sound is important to me but so is appearance. I previously had a Phillips 5.1 1000-watt surround sound setup with subwoofer and blu-ray receiver. Being that I have an XBOX One, I no longer need the stand alone blu-ray player and wanted to clear space on my tv stand. Our living room is fairly small -- 19x12 -- and that Phillips setup rocked hard but I couldn't stand looking at the bulky receiver and wires so it was time to go. Being that I did not want a separate receiver taking space my only option was a sound bar or a sound bar with a center channel that doubled as a receiver. I originally was looking at the Vizio SB4521 but wasn't sold. My audio test was to connect to the receiver and play the Joker's bank robbery scene from the movie The Dark Knight. None of the sub $300 sound bars sounded great. Either too tinny, not enough range, or something. Until I found the JBL. The sound was by far the most immersive of the dozen other options. The JBL's subwoofer frequency can be adjusted via a dial on the back and the sound bar was plenty loud with all of the range I was hoping for. Sold. That was the in store demo. In my living room was a different story. I was so excited to replace the sound bar and show it off to my wife. Connecting her phone via bluetooth was a snap. We then fired up a movie and I was disappointed to say the least. The sound bar is plenty loud and the subwoofer hits more than hard enough but the immersion I had felt in-store simply was not there. No doubt this has everything to do with the placement of the sound bar and the size of our living room. It was clear that I was expecting too much from a sound bar. That was several months ago. Fast forward to today. I'm content enough with the setup but if I was to do it again I would want rear speakers. I think that's what this sound bar is desperately missing.

This sound bar is intense. The bass is hreat and does not overtake the audio.

I purchased the JBL Sound Bar to replace my failing Bose Lifestyle 2800. The quality of sound is so much better due to more modern technology. I did pick the JBL Sound Bar due to the fact it had a lot of HDMI ports to connect different components....Love the convenience and ease of connecting it and not having to wire all the speakers of a surround sound system. Great product!!

Overall I am really pleased with the sound quality. The earlier sound bar used to distort on increasing to the maximum. In this case I have no such issue. Also the sub woofer is great and literally shakes my house if I turn on to full blast

Great product, clear and crisp sound. Its like watching in a movie theater.

Excellent sound but did not have the best compatability with my Samsung TV and I don't know if it is the TV or the bar. Issue was I had trouble using the HDMI connection from the bar to the TV because if I used a Smart TV app, the sound coming from the cable box came out of the bar and not the sound from the TV. So I had to use the optical cable and it works great that way.
