I have been using an old school ampifier-receiver coupled with a great crt TV, many audio devices, front speakers, a middle channel, two suround speakers plus a subwoofer at RMS rating of 200 watts each; about 1200 watts using todays ratings and MANY wires: a modest set up by many, but I was able to shape the sound to suit my changing moods. Today I up scaled to a 70" LED HD TV and the speakers that came with the unit: stored everything else. Since I now have a change in available space, my sound stage has changed considerably. With this new system I thought I would have better sound qualities than the unit's spearkers, The idea was to make the system simple and very good. Well, I did make the system simplier, but sacrificed the abiliy to shape the sound. The sub is rated at 100 watts: not much for me, but I thought it might be enough. The remote control allowed volume of the sound bar and subwoofer to increase and decrease together. I like to control the sound bar separate from the sub. Not much control for me. Further, the middle ranges between the sound bar and the subwoofer became a bit "muddy" at higher volumes. However, this is one of the few units out there to have a crossover control built into the sub. This is one of the very high points of this system. So many other systems don't have this flexibiliy. Don't get me wrong, though. This system is high quality and very good for a small space. A bit pricy. Do not expect viserable rumbles from this subwoofer. You should have at least a 10" sub with 200 watts RMS to get there. This is one man's opinion anyway. I think I expected too much from it to satisfy my taste. Too fussy?

Sound is clear crisp with highs, mid and lows. Awsome alternative if wire runs seem to be an issue.

I have always liked JBL products, This sound bar blew me away. Right out of the box without messing with the settings my whole family is in awe. The lows and the highs are so clear.

If you have a small room and don't want surround sound this is a good option for the price. We found the high tones - such as speaking - in a movie are much more clear with this speaker than others.

Awesome Awesome Awesome. Just Mind blown. clear soundbar and powefull sub. you can change around how deep and powerfull you want the bass to sound.

Bought this a few weeks ago and it's an absolute beast. Be ready for noise complaints from your neighbors! Easy to set up and works perfect with an Apple TV or even a desktop computer

The sound is phenomenal when it works had mine for around 16 months then the sub would randomly drop. Called support and they are warranting it out but more than likely it looks like it will go out again in about a year. I have always liked JBL products and they normally live up to the hype, but this line has a very bad electronics problem. There are a lot of other reviews of the same issue on JBL website and many more.

I tried it in the store and liked it, got it home and I LOVED IT!! I have a large living room with 20' ceiling and I feel like I am in a theater.

It's very easy to install. Sound is also very good if you install it correctly.

It begin with some popping noises. First it worked great, I tough it was the TV who was sending these strange noises. The sound bar begin to do it more often but continued to work as normal. Yesterday while watching a movie suddenly makes this horrible popping noises again and stop working, I noticed that 2 or maybe 4 speakers that don't work anymore. Its a shame since this device is $499 when I purchased. I totally NOT recommend this to Anyone! Very expensive item to work ONLY a year. I rather go to LG with some more affordable prices and quality almost as good as JBL was. Seriously DON'T buy this thing. VERY expensive and very POOR quality. Also Bluetooth must be in a 15ft distance otherwise it will not play well. Control remote has cheap construction and if you want to change to Bluetooth guess what? No Bluetooth button, you have to stand up and change it from the sound bar itself. And again... hope JBL takes full repairs. Be aware of all of this please. Hope it helps.

I bought this item open box in "excellent" condition according to Best Buy's website...still ended up paying almost $400 when all was said and done. The sound bar arrives and my fiance and I were really excited...we have had our eye on this sound bar for a while. Opened the box...missing the mount and remote. No big deal since it was open box but nothing specified that parts were missing when I ordered it. Then, we turn on the sound bar. Not terrible sound quality but we were both expecting better after trying multiple ones in the store. Then, the volume started going up on its own and surround sound wouldn't even work. Definitely not "excellent" condition. I tried contacting customer service and they did not help at all. I will be returning the sound bar tomorrow and just getting a refund. Maybe if I had purchased a "new" one I wouldn't have got a messed up one, but the sound bars are cheaper elsewhere so I wouldn't buy it from Best Buy anyways :)

Was looking forward to this product, but as simple as the setup was, the result was much different. Had multiple issues with sound, or lack of, between my PS4, DVD, and Youtube music videos. I have a 65" Sony 4K Ultra HD that I purchased a month earlier. Used the HDMI ARC setup and didn't work at first, so after multiple attempts it began to work and everything seemed fine. After a few hours of playing music and gaming I went to watch TV and ZERO sound. So I tried unhooking the one and only cable per the instructions and the sound to TV appeared, but no sound for PS4 and youtube app. Decided to try the optical route, same result. Long story short, I spent 6+ hours trying to figure out what I did wrong and still came up short. Will be returning this product and not consider ANY other soundbar EVER. Amazing that I can hook up and wire a total home theater in less than an hour but cannot figure out a one cable hookup.

I've owned this system for two years. I purchased because it was recommend by the Best Buy associate, received a good overall rating, and was in under $500. Within 2 weeks the laminate peeled off the remote on its own exposing the circuitry. The remote range is 10 feet at best. The subwoofer is good, but the sound quality in the sound bar is extremely tinny and poor. My Jawbone Jambox portable speaker has better sound. This is the first sound bar I've owned, so maybe they are all like this, but I could have purchased a decent component set for the same price. Very disappointed in JBL.

Probably one of the best sound bars I have ever heard and it's AMAZING for playing music and watching movies and to watch sports !

I bought this soundbar on thanksgiving. It was fine at first. A couple days after it began to make a popping sound. It is a very annoying sound and now I'm seeing that this is an issue with this soundbar from reading other reviews. Now the sub keeps going on and I'm off. I'm going to return this product and I will not recommend this to anyone. Save yourself the trouble and get something else.

Overall good purchase. Not mind-blowing by a substantial upgrade to the audio from the television.

I had this speaker for 2 years and and still has excellent sound I love it

If you have a smart TV it is very difficult for it to work with a universal remote I am constantly having to turn off the power and turn it back on it to get the remote control to work again after switching from HDMI 1 to HDMI 2
