    Nice Google assistant speaker in a compact package

    I don’t think you can go wrong with this unit. The speaker is compact - as it is more or less a small tower design – and feels quite solid. Very nicely packaged. It has Chromecast capability built in and uses 2.4 or 5 Ghz wireless. Initial setup was done quickly as I already had Google Home installed on my android phone. Bluetooth sync is done separately, so be advised. I have not had a smart speaker before so I am still learning all I can do with it. So far it’s been a blast to use! Sound quality is surprisingly good given its size and has a wide volume range. Its comes with a USB charging cable but no AC adapter. Not a biggy but hard to understand why its not included? I had several lying around and just used one of those – and maybe that is JBL’s expectation. I got 4 ½ hrs of constant use playing music - at which point it didn’t stop playing but started letting me know it was having “problems”. So I plugged into AC and continued using it. It seems you cannot turn it of using voice command. Also I did experience an issue using bluetooth to play music from my phone. The volume was quite a bit lower than if using it for anything else, such as Pandora. Even with my phone turned up full blast I still had to have the JBL volume up quite high so that using the speaker later left it blastingly loud.

    It doesn’t work with much as far as music apps. I didn’t ding the google assist that helpful compared to Alexa

    Tried to install using both android and iphone and it never worked. Had to return apparently everyone is having this issue now.

    Bad quality , I had problem once and send it back to JBL they replace for another one out of box , and took me about 2 months to receive back a new one! Now I having connections problems with the speaker , the connection fade all the time , google assistant works sometimes and u can’t answer or make phone calls using the speaker as well

    It was a Christmas gift to my son but he did not like the functions and we exchanged it for another.

    Stopped working in under 8 months

    Loved it at first, then one day I came home and it wasn't on. Turned it back on and within 10 minutes, it shut itself off again. It is plugged in. Tried restarting it but kept shutting off. Seems like this is a common issue with this product. Don't buy!!

    Stopped working, not able to switch on the speaker

    I got this speaker and it stopped working after first time use. Tried resetting and restarting the speaker, but not able to switch on the speaker. When I plug in the USB cable, the lights are blinking for few seconds and then its getting switched off and speaker is dead.

    First thing download the Google home app. Setup from the app makes things easy to get the speaker connected to the network and internet. If you have an android phone then you are probably already used to saying "Hey Google or Ok Google" to get your phone to do things. This is nothing different. The only problem I had was getting the speaker and phone to use Bluetooth so that I could stream music from my phone. Didn't need to just wanted to try it out. On a hunch I asked Google to connect the my phone with the speaker and it worked. I also asked for Google to disconnect the Bluetooth and that too worked. The sound quality is great and the Mic on the speaker can hear my voice over the music playing even at full volume.

    Bought two so we could pair them together. Have had nothing but trouble pairing, unpairing etc. The Google assistant does not listen very well. Disappointed for sure!

    It was great when it worked. Unfortunately, that was not very long. It failed under normal usage with no abuse. I do not recommend this product.

    The quality of the sound was ok At first then you can hear a white noise in the back also the respond of google voice 2 out of 5 it won’t catch the command.
