Over experience is quite pleasant, the price, the red color and the ability to flip the cups makes me want to buy the whole family. Reason why I bought it was because I needed a wired headphone that dosnt need to charge on those long days where I just want to fall asleep listening to music.

Nice price. Sound fine. Not overdone on bass. Pinch your head if you leave them on for a while. Do become flat for storage. Glossy exterior shows dust but looks nice. (Ignore white tap in photos, that was added later to quickly know right/left for stereo placement.)

I needed headphones for online interviews that do not make me look like I'm from another planet, that fit my head and that are not heavy, all while making sure I can hear.
This item fits the bill.

I am a big fan of the JVC FLATS. In fact, I just bought a second set to use on other devices. They are lightweight and comfortable, and I like the sleek on-ear design. Most importantly, they sound surprisingly good-- especially after a couple months of use. I would classify the sound signature as mostly flat or neutral (no excess bass or treble), and this is what I generally prefer. I listen to a variety of music and these handle each pretty well. However, if you are a bass freak these probably won't satisfy you (in which case I would recommend Koss PortaPros).
Obviously, the low price figures into my rating. If these cost $100, I would be more critical. But for less than $20 it would be hard to beat the JVC FLATS.

I searched Best Buy for over-the-ear headphones, sorted by price. These were the cheapest at the time. Skimmed reviews, and noted that others said it works fine and is good for the price. I would agree, however I want to point out 2 surprises.
First, the can part that sits on the ear is a lot smaller than I expected. I thought over-the-ear meant it would surround or enclose my ear. It is actually only about 1.75 inches across by 2.25 inches long, so it just rests and presses against my ear (not cup over my entire ear). But I guess the small size makes it lightweight and more portable, so, okay.
Second, the cord is shorter than I expected. It is about 4 feet long. That is probably fine for a portable device you are wearing or in your pocket. But I am using this for my computer while sitting at my desk. Still usable, but not as flexible as a longer cord would provide. So, just another thing to consider.
But overall, the headphones are functional. For sound quality, I am not an audiophile. I just needed something basic and this delivers. For comfort, aside from the 2 surprises mentioned above, it is fine. The headband adjustment seems sturdy enough, as it is supposed to be stainless steel. I like the clicky aspect of the adjustment - discrete steps, and holds in place. And lastly, for the price, is a definite qualifier. I had no problem price matching.

These headphones are just what I needed. Sound quality was excellent although just a little more bass than what I prefer. Easy to adjust the headphones, cables are much better designed and the ear pads make the headphones very comfortable. Plus the price you can't beat!

I bought these for my 8 year old daughter, who regularly has issues with losing or killing her "ear buds". Since she often complained that the ear buds were too big for her ears, it made sense to get her a regular set. Since I happened to be at Best Buy picking up a few things for me, I made it a point to pick her up a cheap set of headphones.
Priced at under $15, these headphones were a perfect pricepoint for her needs and I was VERY surprised at the quality.
Not only do they have excellent sound quality (we are not talking Bose here, obviously), but, in her words:
"They are super comfortable. I love them. They make things sound louder than they are and work really good."
She uses them for her computer, tablet, and 3DS and is very pleased.

Ok, I love music, and I listen to music on my ipod everyday if not almost every day, I've also had quite a few headphones, from Bose earbuds, to some average priced Sennheisers, so when it comes to how my headphones sound I tend to get VERY picky, so I'm going to be a little more hardcore about my review than the average Joe.
First off, My pair of earbuds just broke today so in desperation I went online looking for the best headphones for the price range and I was lead to the JVC's because of all of the good comments.
I must say for the $20 price I was by far the most impressed I have ever been with a cheap pair of headphones, the clarity and bass is very vivid and clear for the price.
On the other hand I do have some issues, Although the sound is great, I do hear some crackling and clicking when when I listen to heavier music, and when it's cranked wayyy up (which they do get very loud, forgot to mention, my bad) the sounds tends to get a little distorted. The other sort of minor thing is that since they are ON-EAR and not OVER, they tend to be loud for others around you, and people could pretty much listen to you listening to your headphones instead of a radio, other than that I'm very happy with what I got, although I'm pretty much just using these as a transition pair until I can buy a much nicer pair in the future.

I can't use earbuds which eliminates ~95% of products out there. There are many over the ear headphones available that are better quality for the music itself or for noise cancellation (this does some of that), but all are more expensive and many are not really small enough to be conveniently put away in a bag when not using them outside. These are a great value, the sound is fine, and they are comfortable.

I bought these for my daughter. She loves the color. I love that they can lay flat. It made packing them much easier. I also like that they seem more durable than the foam covered headphones (which we previously owned, but were destroyed in one trip.) The price was also great!

The sound is just right for me and I like the way they look. There are not too bulky and fit around my big head just fine. Best of all, they haven't broken riding in my messenger bag. My only complaint is that the letters for left and right ear are blended too much with the color of the arch. I struggle to determine which is R or L. Then again, i might just need to wear my reading glasses.

This is my second set that I purchased. I liked the first pair so much I got a second pair for a spare. I use these with my keyboard. They are actually a bit louder and more authentic then the keyboard's built-in speakers. They sound more like a real acoustic piano. They're relatively lightweight and quite comfortable for extended listening. I've been using these exclusively for about 8 months now. My other headsets now just sit in the drawer.

Lightweight with a great sound. Comfortable padded ear covers. I have a small head, so on the smallest adjustment possible and pressed all the way down against my head, they fall a little below the center of my eardrums. I accommodate for this by tilting the headset slightly toward the back of my head, and this seems to hold them in place, even while jogging.

Hi all! I picked these up because I wanted over-the-ear headphones, but I didn't want to break the bank. After researching some websites, notably CNET, I decided on these headphones because many reviews said that the sound quality cannot be beat for the price. After purchasing these, I agree. While these don't isolate noise, they do a pretty decent job of reducing ambient noise. The ear pads are not too big and do not envelop my ears.
My only qualms about these are the comfort and the durability. First, after wearing these for extended periods of time, my ears sometimes feel a bit sore. This feeling goes away rather quickly once the headphones come off. Second, the band is made of plastic that feels like it could crack in half if not treated delicately.
All in all for under fifteen (15) bucks, these headphones are exactly what I was looking for, and I recommend these for anyone looking for surprising sound quality for a cheap pair of headphones.

switched from ear plug type headphones to this set for comfort while "walking" and exercising. stays in place with head movement. no issues with having to clean it like plug style after each use. sound quality is better than previous headset and the distinct color helps me identify "my headset" when set on table in exercise areas.
