My 2009 Toyota Corolla is a little out dated to say the least, and this new stereo gave it a major glow up! I love that I can listen to Spotify, audiobooks, etc. through my car speakers with ease. Instead of battling the several Bluetooth or aux devices that were far less effective in the past. Plus the hands free calling is a game changer!! The microphone they install is top notch quality!

I always been a fan of the kenwood line of stereos, but this one by far is the best I’ve had. Made my c5 corvette that much better. I highly recommend.

I purchased this units after returning a Sony unit I was totally dissatisfied with. I've been using it for a couple weeks and so far I'm totally impressed with the performance. Even with stock speakers it is a great improvement over the stock unit sound quality. The bass capability is incredible, The sound customization on this unit is almost limitless (more adjustments' than the average user would probably take advantage of or fully understand, me included). 13 band eq, bass boost, crossover adjustment, and several other adjustments to contour the sound to your personal preference. Unit is easy to operate and adjust. Volume is loud and great clarity even without external amps. There are only a couple things that kept me from giving this unit a 5 star rating, and they are just very minor issues. I can't get the custom eq user defined setting to save. As long as you don't change to preset settings, it keeps what you set. But if you go to any of the presets, then try to go back to your custom defined user setting, you have to make your adjustments again ( I don't change my eq settings, so it's really not much an issue for me. I could be doing something wrong, to be fair). If you are on the phone when you shut the unit off, when it is powered up again it defaults to android music (probably would be the same with Apple Car Play) even though when call began you were listing to the radio ( this issue is only if you are on a call when you shut it off, if the call ends while still powered up, it returns to previous setting), minor issue. The screen is hard to see in bright light, but that is an issue with all lcd screens. The bluetooth microphone has several sensitivity adjustments, which is a great plus for people on the other end of a call to be able to here you clearly and loud enough. You will lose some functions of the steering wheel controls, but still keep the most important functions. One thing it does that is annoying, but really a non issue is when it powers up it will say no paired phones found even though it is connect to your phone. I don't think this is a head unit issue. I think that it is caused by the vehicles original system ( Ford Sync in my case), because the original system can't be fully disabeled without causing problems with the vehicle computer controlled systems. This is a very good and capable upgrade to your vehicle's stock head unit, There are 3 external amp pre outs, which I'll never use, I'm totally happy with the volume and sound clarity of the internal amp of the unit. It has 4 camera inputs, so is capable of 360 degree view around the vehicle. I don't have cameras installed on my truck now, but will have a backup camera installed in the future. I would definitely recommend this unit as an exceptional upgrade to your vehicle's stock radio.

Works great but to get everything adjusted well it takes a couple of steps and you need to have an understanding of how to adjust sound. It’s not for everyone but thankfully I have a knowledge of how to run sound so it wasn’t that difficult for me but the average person would probably get lost. Just let a professional do it for you.

After attempting the SONY radio and the Wireless CarPlay not working correctly the techs convinced me to upgrade (for a modest fee, of course LOL) to this KENWOOD! It is FANTASTIC. The sound with my standard speaker package in my 2019 Kia Sorento sounds great. There are many more presets I’ll never use. Wireless CarPlay works without issue. Once phone connects in under 10 seconds, CarPlay picks up where my phone left off. The proper apps all work. The diagnostics display from my cars computer to the radio unit is so awesome. The radio works with the OEM camera from Kia and picture display is stupendous. I downloaded the KENWOOD app and was able put pictures from my phone on the display on the radio. I personally have no cons, OTHER than the price. $599 is kinda steep, however this radio has all the bells and whistles I wanted AND post COVID chip installed. Also included installation.

This radio is fantastic with great sound and works like a dream. Once I paired my phone with it, (which took only seconds), it automatically pairs with the car wirelessly as soon as I start it up and the map features from Google maps are great!

This was for my daughter’s 2015 Honda CRV. Sometimes the Bluetooth drops. The fit seems to be a hair to small. Barely noticeable. Clarity of the screen is good. Backup camera works well.

Andriod auto wireless- skips and losses connection

Wireless auto cuts out often like the old days when a cd would skip. Has android auto and has amazon music as a on screen app, but the voice assistant is google so when you try to launch music through amazon it defaults to youtube music and wont let you voice assist music. You could play from the screen and select playlist typing on the screen for selecting. From phone if you keep amazon music open with phone screen on, you can use alexa voice assistant then it plays into andriod auto. Also a few times the system info locks up shows still in a phone call or a text message notification coming in and or it thinks its still listening to assistant. Basically the andriod auto runs like junk, if you think buying a respectable brand going to help vs amazon unit it doesnt seem to help. I have $1,000 in unit and wiring harness and dash kit and it skips. The screen is dim, and in sunlight hard to see. Gauges are neat but probably rarely use for real information. Was able to clear a check engine code which is for my gas cap on my f150 is a capless system. And shows boost on turbo. Sound quality does seem better than stock head unit. The mirroring feature is just eh probably use it as often as i set in my truck with the parking brake on while leaving my car running. Like so often!

Phenomenal unit. Best Buy install guru John did an unbelievable professional install. I had him add an amp, subwoofer and new door speakers and speakers on the floor behind the seats in my Nissan NV2500SV van. Music is like being 5 rows back from the stage of a live concert (if you want that)!
