I have had my range for 2 months now and love it. I have tried all the features except the cleaning cycle. Induction is the way to go to cook quickly and have great control of the heat. I had to buy new pots and pans but that was cheaper than putting in a gas line. The main over is huge and does take about 10-15 minutes to preheat. I cook everything on convection and set the temperature myself instead of using the auto feature. The bottom drawer that looks like storage works as a second oven. I would probably only use this for casseroles, but it does work up to 400 degrees. The other reviews about the beeping are all true. The stovetop was constantly beeping at me, but I have learned work around it. It is too bad that the stove will shut off if you take your pan off for more than 15 seconds. Other than that it works like a dream and is beautiful in my kitchen.

So much better than my ceramic top radiant heat range. Gets to temperature very quickly, responds to temperature change immediately. Convection oven is what I expect from KitchenAid. Very happy with my purchase. Looks better than the one it replaced, looked built in!!

After looking into different types of induction stove, KitchenAid is really at the top of the line. For the first time no more over cooking or mess and best of all is the convection oven. The price is high but I had a good discount at Best Buy. Also I had to redo the kitchen walls and a new hood range.

This is my first induction range. I am very happy with it. I find the controls for the range and oven very easy to use. The range will automatically turn off if not in use I see this as a big safety feature. Good cooks much more evenly. Happy with my purchase

We are just 10 months in…cooktop is super fast but glitchy. Oven has a malfunction on the control panel and it’s going to take 2 months to get a new one. So Even though this thing is basically new I wont have an oven for thanksgiving and maybe the holidays. Totally outrageous. Too much tech for its own good.
In the mean time since it’s less than 12 months old I’ve had to call whirlpool for service (they do kitchen aid) and every time I call them I’m on hold 30 minutes just to get a person.

So disappointed. Looks great. Doesn't work so great. I write this as a service tech is here just after the year warranty replacing computer board. Cooktop burners were constantly shutting off when in use. Could not control burners at times or lock cooktop when done.

We've enjoyed the range for a week now. I baked a rhubarb pie; the crust was nicely evenly browned. It was such a delight to bake again.
It's quite the stove! We are very pleased. ❤️

So far we really love this range. The induction cooktop is life-changing. Though we did have to get rid of quite a few pots and skillets that were not compatible with induction cooking. That was a bummer but honestly, we purchased a few new skillets that are specifically designed for induction and they are incredible. We are not able to install a gas line for a gas range, (cost prohibitive) but we think this is just as good. We have had gas in the past and prefer cooking with gas. But honestly the lighting quick heating, and the even heating of induction makes this a foodies dream. Not to mention the convection oven and roll out trays. 1st class product all the way. Only complaint, and it is a minor one: When you take a skillet or pot off a burner for more than 5-10 seconds the machine beeps, if you do not return the pot/skillet back to the burner in the next 5-10 seconds the machine will shut down the burner. I like to flip stuff in a skillet alot like vegetables and stuff I'm sauteing this is annoying for that reason.

Honest take on switching from gas to induction

We appreciate the ease to clean— which was our primary reason for switching from gas. The touch screen surface we are still getting used to after a month. Occasional splatter does seem to turn off the heating element which is not ideal. There is a high frequency noise that occurs each time the heating elements are turned on and engaged by the pot/pan. We’re pleased with it so far, it’s speed and functions are nice indeed and the ease of cleaning is a huge benefit for us which is a large reason we will likely never switch back to gas

Don't be mislead by negative reviews. Induction is awesome.
Yes, it makes a little noise but it is far from loud. The most anoying thing is that it beeps when you put a hot pan/baking sheet on the surface but it's definitely not a deal breaker. I almost didn't buy it because someone said the oven door got hot but that hasn't been our experience at all.
All and all, it is a great stove that exceed our expectations.

This is a solid range. If you're on the fence about induction, you'll quickly love it with this oven. We went from a radiant electric to this and the difference in terms of cook and boil time is staggering.
I can confidently say I'm happy with this oven but I think it can be dramatically improved and so I will not give it more than 3 stars.
First, the oven is awful. It takes forever to pre-heat and feels worse than my old oven. That is unacceptable to me in what should have been a massive upgrade. The convection feature is laughable, you're getting a slight bump in airflow, nothing else.
Second, the beeping on the range is just annoying and unnecessary. The range doesn't *have* to beep if you lift the pan for a few seconds, it's just not a design decision that makes any sense.
Having the controls in the front of the range is also a poor design decision and reduces the effective workspace you have on the top of the range. For example, if you have a large pan from the oven you have to set it on the steel edge of the oven in order to clear the touch panel and avoid beeping.
All in all, I am happy with the range now that I've adjusted to its quirks, but it needs some serious design improvements in future versions.

Seems like a good unit. The cook top is occasionally quirky. None of the controls were working until shut off the breaker and let it reset. Don’t set anything on top that is metal without meaning to use the top.a worker set a metal clipboard on top of the controls and it went all haywire. Stoves work well

We love our new Kitchenmaid Induction Range! The cooktop has plenty of settings to choose just the right temperature. The temperature remains stable throughout for an even boil when making pastas. Water heats FAST - tested it - 1 cup of water heated in under 42 seconds - on the traditional electric range - over 2 minutes - super fast! The convection oven fan is so quiet that we honestly thought it was not working! Really enjoying our new purchase!
