So I bought Klipsch The Nines on sale and a couple weeks later the SPL-120 was on sale so...... The Nines sound great on their own but after adding the sub- awesome. I replaced a Bose soundbar, sub and rears with this and there is no comparison, music is fuller, richer, clear and TV/movies came alive. I was prepared to spend a lot more money to finally have a great sounding stereo but I decided to try this thinking I'd return it if I didn't like it and be justified to spend the additional money. After listening to this setup for over a month, I am extremely happy and won't be returning.

I absolutely love the sound of this speaker. When given some time to break in and left to the flat setting. You will get an engaging sound with plenty of dynamics. The app and remote are great additions you can control the subwoofer levels, chance inputs and have eq adjustments.

Definitely a little larger than bookshelf size but with that said, absolutely amazing speakers. Insane clarity amd seperation across the board for music, movies, tv and even video games, and still able to give you fantastic bass through the dual 8” subs. On top of that the connectivity of these are amazing with BT, HDMI earc support, phono output for records and even a subwoofer out port if somehow they don’t already give you enough bass. They even have an in-app EQ to adjust for different content types. If you are looking for AVR quality but dont want to spend the minimum $2500/dont have the space for all of the components , these are an exeptional choice for the pricepoint.

    The Nines are a 9/10!!

These active speakers are truly amazing. If you get them on sale, the price to performance is second to none! The quality of everything in the box speaks for itself. Klipsch really gave a high attention to detail with these speakers from the modern vintage look, the included braided cables, the quality knibd and connections, and thats before even listening to them! Once powered on and connected, these speakers really shine. It’s not even fair to compare them to other bookshelves as these really compete with floorstanders. It would cost way more to get a quality receiver, amp, dac, etc. And a pair of floorstanders that could match what The Nines are capable of. This is all before we have even mentioned THE BASS. The Nines are more than capable of being a standalone system without the need of a subwoofer. Of course if youre a real bass-head and need the whole block to shake then go for an additional subwoofer, but trust me these were shaking my whole house without one. The only reason The Nines get a 9/10 is the lack of a Wifi connection for high quality streaming. Other than that the quality of all the other features and the truly amazing performance make these a No-Brainer. Don’t even hesitate, buy them already.

Klipsch speakers are fantastic - my vinyl sounds absolutely incredible with these. Plus the phone app for an equalizer, bluetooth, etc. these are tremendous and powerful speakers. I love them. Also helped that I picked them up on a good sale.

Amazing sound from a “small” speaker! These play louder than the giant Cerwin-Vegas that had in high school!

These are simply the best speakers i have ever heard. I own a few different towers in this price range, and they dont hold a candle to the nines. These speakers transport me. Music is like a new medium for me to play with now. Im a kid in a candy store. Hearing tiny sounds in the recordingsi never ever heard. Feeling like im at the concert or in the studio or in another universe. I’m serious. Lastly, just let them break in a bit. The sound will get a tinge warmer. If you are on the fence, just buy them (wait for a sale). You will not regret it. Best speakers i ever bought.

The sound quality on these are amazing! They ended up sounding so good I had to upgrade my subwoofer as well. I found that my old 12" Subwoofer was detracting from the sound quality and that the speakers sounded better on their own. The bass boost is nice for music (only use if running these without a sub), but would not recommend for movies as it makes it sounds worse. I ended up pairing these with a new SVS SB-2000 Pro subwoofer and am pleased with the final result. Just make sure if you plan on purchasing these you are pushing high quality audio through them. If you plan on using Bluetooth or listening to poor quality audio you won't realize the potential and it might not be worth the cost. I love good sound quality and found myself immersed in songs like never before. Additional Notes: - I'm using these on a PC setup. - Speakers are huge, make sure you measure and space out your setup beforehand.

I used to have the sevens and I returned them as soon as I listened to these. The sevens do not sound bad at all but the nines have higher quality and sound volume compared to them.
