For the price it cannot be beat. It is for my daughter to replace her chromebook, as the Windows laptop allowed her to do more and use other applications that required Windows or Mac. For the price it cannot be beat and using it for school it is more than sufficient. An Intel core i3 is fine, 8GB is good enough. I would have liked it to have a USB-C port that would allow it to charge the laptop, but that is mainly found to much more expensive laptops. For the money saved, I'm ok with that. One aspect she has to get used to is the trackpad is not centered on the laptop. She is still getting used to that. Otherwise, she loves it. Plus, Win10 now enables to link her Android phone to the computer. She can now text, take calls, and use her phone apps right on the computer! I think that's a really good feature.

Since this unit has a standard QWERTY keyboard with a 10 key numeric pad included, the touchpad is centered over the QWERTY keys so that when the typist's hands are in the home position the trackpad is directly under their hands.

We needed something for work and school and this laptop fits the bill. The SSD makes the laptop so much lighter than laptops with a regular hard drive, and the SSD makes this laptop run faster as well! Would highly recommend!

Decent laptop for the price

It's a great laptop and has a nice amount of space which I havent ran out of as of yet and I use it daily but I do try not to put alot of nonsense on it. I like that it can go into tablet mode but it seems to get stuck at times. My biggest issue has been that whenever I shut it down to power off it doesnt stay off. I purchased 2 and both do the samething as far as never shutting completely down no matter how many times you do it. Being it doesnt shut down it constantly needs to charge a little more than I feel it should. Besides that I have no problems with this product. The volume isnt great but its decent. I have no problems with zoom calls or online business. As long as I can hear and be heard Im cool. The camera is decent so no complaints there. I really just wish it would stay off when powered off.

If you are getting substantially less battery life, please adjust your screen brightness settings. A setting of 100% brightness will drain your battery much faster than a lower setting. We recommend setting the screen brightness to some value below 100% that is still comfortable for you to view. Next be sure Battery conservation Mode is turned off. This power management setting should only be used when the laptop is plugged in all the time. It will prolong overall battery life by only charging the battery to 60-percent of capacity. Here is a link to instructions for turning off Battery Conservation Mode: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/ht103159. Also check what programs are running in the background on the computer. Be sure only the programs you want running in the background are. These programs will drain the battery. Here is a link to information about how to find out what programs are running in the background on your Windows 10 computer and how to manage them for better system performance: https://www.windowscentral.com/how-prevent-apps-running-background-windows-10. Then, finally, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. Incompatible software will drain the battery at a faster rate. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. I wanted a cheap laptop for personal use, mainly for shopping and video chat. It was easy to set up and works pretty fast. I haven't had any problems with it yet and works well for simple internet browsing and documents. I've used it to skype a few times and the camera works fine. The battery seems to last about 3 or 4 hours but I can just plug it in so it's ok for me. Will keep it in S mode until I need to download additional apps. Glad I bought it for $300, found it to be a good purchase.

Battery life was a complete lie, only 4 hours on average and that's with light use (no gaming, mostly web browsing and writing).
