It's good for basic stuff like college papers or presentations etc. But for anything else, it sucks. It loads games slower than a turtle on heroin, and it makes those games lag more than a 21 year old that's finally gotten their first drink

I bought one of these for my mother in law to use it for light internet browsing and streaming internet music - works perfect for this purpose. I did upgrade the RAM - although buyer beware, Lenovo assumes that all users are incapable of performing this task on this particular laptop and thusly says that unless the service is performed by a lenovo technician it will void the warranty. It's unfortunate they take this stance - nonetheless - the RAM can be upgraded if you are fairly competent at removing a few screws and slapping in a RAM stick. If you buy one of these thinking it's a standard laptop capable of anything, you will be remiss. This machine is designed for fairly mundane tasks like internet browsing - and for this, it's perfect at this pricepoint.

As you point out, this model is not user upgradable. A certified technician must do all of the work, so as to not void the warranty. This is a decent laptop. I bought for my technicians when they were on sale. Understand it doesn’t have a CD drive which I didn’t know it doesn’t have a Ethernet port. In case we needed to hook up to customer router directly we had to buy a USB to Ethernet adapter. Also the exterior scratches very easily.

I overall enjoy this pc great processor ideal for my home schooling and college needs. One concern is when you purchase the device it's in safety mode or as windows calls it a mode. This stops you from downloading any web browser to your computer we needed chrome browser for my children's blackboard platform and I almost returned this computer thinking it was defective. We spent hours online , customer service and windows forums. It took me setting up a appointment with feel squad three days later to figure out the configuration on the device. This was very misleading for me . I wasted blackboards customer service time, my kids schools tech support line time and my eye balls dried out from you tube lol. Other than that eventful start everything else I have no complaints.
