Mostly love this Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a laptop that would easily attach to my TV and this one was it. Had old Lenovo that was far behind. My only complaint is that S mode. I wish it had not had it in the first place and now I worry about changing to Home mode knowing I cannot go back. But so much control by Microsoft is annoying and I really prefer GOOGLE. Other then that so far it seems great though maybe slowed down a little. Supposedly S mode is supposed to be always faster without any slowdowns. Glad I got it and watching YouTube on my TV is wonderful!!!

Posted .The Lenovo IdeaPad S145-15 laptop is an entry level, light use system with its Intel Pentium processor. It is not meant for multi-tasking or demanding programs. It is good for Microsoft Office and light internet browsing. This model ships with Windows 10 S-Mode Operating System. Windows 10 S-Mode provides added security by only allowing APPs available ( and therefore certified by Microsoft) at the Microsoft Store. If you don't need the added security or you need to install APPs not available at the Microsoft Store, you can switch to standard Windows 10 Home 64-bit Operating System, at no additional cost.

My first laptop
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Finally decided to upgrade technology and no more desktop computer which took up my dinning area space. Now I have a laptop, I can use it anywhere in my home. WiFi to printer no wires. It is so wonderful and lightweight. I can bring it to my doctor’s office with my flash drive and have medical history at my fingertips. No more papers or loss x-ray info or previous test results. Update rx list right in the office.

Great Starter Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recommend this laptop if you are a student or you're just going to use this laptop for everyday kind of things. Not very fast. I recommend adding more memory to make it a little faster.

Slow Slow Slow
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Turn it on, make a coffee, come back take your time settling in especially if you are opening more than one app. After loading prepare for sudden frozen stops. Did I mention that it's slow? Lol I will have to spend additional money to upgrade the RAM because they only put in 4gbs. Even the ad in best buy says the installed ram is "adequate". Other than the slowness it feels and looks good. I should have done more homework but Florida was having no sales tax week because of school opening and I penny penched, (my error). Good luck.

Good laptop for my purpose
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this laptop for doing schoolwork and it works for that purpose. The battery lasts a really long time. The only issue I have with it is that it’s slow to open websites.

Posted .The Lenovo IdeaPad S145-15 laptop ships with 5G, 802.11AC frequency WiFi. It is very fast. It is backward compatible to older, b/g/n frequencies, but performance will be slower, in that at b/g/n frequency, 802.11AC only connects to 2.4GHz speed. To get maximum performance, you will need a router that is compatible with 802.11AC frequency. Please keep in mind, this is an entry level, light use system with its Intel Pentium processor. It is not meant for multi-tasking or demanding programs. It is good for Microsoft Office and light internet browsing. If this describes your computing needs, the IdeaPad S145-15 would be a good choice.

Basic laptop.
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's not a bad laptop if you're using it for daily activities. I wouldn't buy it if you plan on gaming. Easily able to upgrade the RAM and HDD, though.

||Posted . Good but...
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I purchased this to help with school work. I misplaced the power cord. Best buy does not carry a replacement that fits. And the one that could possibly fit that could be ordered would drain the battery and damage the computer. I ended up calling the manufacturing company getting the product # as the manufacturer did not have the adapter either!! I got the cord on Amazon.. I ended up purchasing a Dell to get through the semester as COVID was delaying shipments. Save yourself the headache keep the charger in one place or get a laptop that has a common easy to find adapter.

||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was cheap, but it is working very well . Starting and opening does not take much time. It does excellent work. One thing I would say is that it is a little bit heavy.

Great price for a laptop with lots of memory.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this to replace an aging HP and it has exceeded my expectations. It has lots of memory and is fast enough to do all I want it to do. Mostly web searching and downloading sims, this computer does it quickly. I purchased the external cd/dvd and it works as good as those installed in the computer. Set up was easy and fast. For the money this was a good purchase.

very good for the price
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this for my high school age girl. It is cheap, but very capable. I updated the ram to 8 gb, and also replace the hard drive with SSD. I installed fresh copy of windows home, and the performance is very good. I tried to install M2 drive, but need a longer screw, I gave up and just placed a standard 2.5 SSD. The screen resolution is low but for the price, you can not find a better deal. Now it is not a game laptop, nor a ultrabook, But if you have a school age child, or just want to check email, and browse the web, then this thing is right for you, plus the price is cheaper than lot of tablets.

Posted .The Lenovo IdeaPad S145-15 laptop is not user upgradable. A certified technician must do all of the work, so as to not void the warranty. Decent for Casual/Light Use
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Definitely not a gaming laptop, don't expect it to run games like Fortnite or CS:GO on even the lowest settings without stuttering. Other than that it's nice and lightweight for people who would like to use it for school use, however it does not appear to have a microphone and the audio & microphone plugin jack does not appear to be working for microphone inputs as promised which is disappointing considering how decent of a media and productivity this laptop is.

Really great laptop!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop has a lot of storage, which is great for the games I like playing on it. Very easy to use. There are a few times where it runs a little slow, but it's manageable. The mouse pad also tends to glitch out a little bit sometimes, but it's usually just a quick burst and sorts itself out almost immediately. Overall, I am really happy with my purchase. This laptop has already made things easier for me in regards to both my professional life and recreational use. The few flaws it has are easy to overlook and the storage space alone is enough to make me recommend it
