Definitely a good price for a introductory gaming computer. The resolution is great, and with I like the processing speed. It is heavy but sturdy. I've only had it for a week, and there is no heating/ventilation problem.

Nice gaming laptop

I have been using this as a desktop replacement for a 5 year old gaming rig and it has met my needs pretty well. I am using a mini displayport cable to output to a 1440p display and can run most games on high settings, antialiasing is usually off due to the higher resolution which improves performance. Running games on the 1080p built in screen look good and they run even smoother than at 1440p. While the screen is not super bright, I feel that the colors still 'pop' nicely. Form factor checks all the right boxes, can easily be thrown in a backpack and travelled with. Very unassuming design does not scream 'gamer' as some other gaming laptops will. There are a few things that could be better, the sshd works pretty well for loading the operating system and some smaller apps loading on system startup, however the ssd partition is too small to effectively store games and greatly improve load times. The second item. Is the amount of system memory (RAM). This is a sufficient amount of memory if you are only gaming, open up a few tabs of Chrome and a YouTube video too then system memory is being used at nearly full capacity and begins writing to the page file. The last major complaint is the cooling solution. While gaming the fans inevitably start spinning, and they are pretty loud for 2 small fans on your desk. They are still quiet enough that they are not audible to others when chatting in Discord, and are not as noticeable when gaming with a nice headset. All in all this is a very nice gaming laptop. I am able to play my favorite games at high settings with some minor tweaks, and they run at 60+ fps. It is portable enough to take on the go, and a majority of ports exit out the back of the laptop which makes for a clean setup while gaming at home.
