I bought this laptop at the beginning of the "work from home" situation and i'm absolutely obsessed. I's a great size, the screen is super clear and nice, the keyboard is great. The only negative comment I have is that is can be a little slow typing sometimes. My typing is faster than it goes sometimes but it usually catches up and then I won't have that problem again for a few hours or for the rest of the day.

Once again, thank you for choosing the Lenovo Yoga C740-14. We hope that the lag issue you were experiencing has been corrected to your satisfaction. If it has not, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programming errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If the problem persists, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686. Lenovo

I bought it for my daughter who is a freshman in college and she loves it. It is very portable and powerful enough for all of her tasks as a student and aspiring photographer. As others have stated, the monitor isn't the best but it gets the job done. We had to download drivers to get the TouchPad to work properly so it gets 4 stars.

This laptop has done me wonders. It allows you to put your fingerprint for those wanting a little more privacy. Its wonderful for those looking for something lightweight, portable, and at a good price. I’m a student starting college and that’s what I use it for, my school. Touch screen comes in handy, laptop mode and tablet mode also helps out a lot for whatever you want to use it for.

My 12 and 14 year olds love this laptop. It is easy to use, turns into a tablet and the screen is touch screen. The graphics are more crisp than normal laptops. Definitely suggest this laptop. We did buy an external adapter to hook it up to a monitor and other components - the ports are limited. But it is light-weight, very sleek and love how it completely flips around.

I love my new computer. It is compact, and light. Easy to travel. There is no lip on the front or cover to assist in easy opening, but I am getting used to pulling it open. I think it is like that to help protect the screen when it is flipped open. The touch screen also very easy and does not distract from the actual workability of the computer. great!

I love, love (did I say love?) this computer. I have used a Chromebook for much of my work over the last year or so (and Chromebook are definitely my preference) but I needed a Windows based computer for some tasks. My old Windows computer was so slow. I did a ton of research on how to get it to be more speedy. This unit is just remarkable. I got an especially good sale price on it - just over $500 - but even at full price ($700?) it's a bargin. It starts as soon as I open it - moves swiftly between tabs - key strokes are smooth - set up took 5 minutes. I use it for Office Products (PowerPoint, Word etc) and a few apps for work, as well as general "surfing". I still love my Chromebook (also a Lenovo) better than Windows products but but this Windows model is really great. My only complaint would be about the backlit keys - when backlit - the keys are great. However, when the backlight is off, it's a little tough to see the gray colored letter/number keys. Not a big deal - I leave the back light on.

I use this laptop almost on a daily basis and so far it’s great. Good battery life and works well. Starts up very fast so you can start using it right away. The fingerprint feature is convenient and love the touch screen. The only downside for me is that it has no number key and that took some adjustment but it’s a good laptop overall.

Bought this for using at home and work. Nice and light weight. Really thin. Love the option to use as a tablet, even though I have an iPad for that. Boots up quickly. Track pad is easy to use. This a good computer for basic computing needs. Is bit bigger than my previous lenovo which was 11" having used the 14" now I really like the display. Everything else is what you'd expect from lenovo so unless you did a lot from your computer this lap top will fit most peoples needs. And I got it on sale at a Excellent price point. This laptop is actually an Excellent laptop. Great size, great form factor. I only give it three stars though, because not long after purchase, I had to send it back due to screen problems. Even before I bought it I had read people were having issues with the screen and keyboard due to the slim form factor, so I knew I was taking a risk, but I really liked it, and I had become kind of a Lenovo junky and had no issues until now. I have bought at least 6 or 7 Lenovo laptops in the last few years, a mix of Windows 10/11 laptops and Chromebooks, and recommend them to others when they come to me for advice, so I bought it anyway. Sure enough, not long after the screen started having issues. I was pretty sure it was due to the cable connection where it plugs into the motherboard, but since it was under warranty, I decided to send it in for repair. That first repair was pretty easy, but I didn't have the laptop for awhile. Then, very close to the end of the warranty, it started to have keyboard issues. It worked absolutely fine with an external keyboard, but the internal keyboard had issues. It was intermittent. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. Again, seemed like a similar problem as the display and I like I said, I knew going in this model/form factor had these sorts of issues. I could even make it work by pressing the case in the area where the cable is located, but as it was still under warranty, I decided not to fix it myself and send it back again. When I tried to send it back for warranty though I was told the warranty had ended in September when it should have ended in March. This was somehow a mistake on BestBuy's part (the warranty had started 6 months before the laptop was even purchased, but eventually got it resolved/reset, since my account clearly showed the purchase information. By the time it was resolved, it was only days to the end of the warranty. Finally got an RMA and sent it in. The laptop was purchased online on the 22, but picked up on the 27th. My purchase date at Bestbuy.com reflects. this (Can we display your purchase date?*(3/27/2021)). Anyway an RMA was given and it was sent. Upon receiving it they said it was not going to be repaired under warranty, because the warranty was expired because it was received after the 22nd. Finally got them to agree that maybe, based on the purchase date, it was still under warranty. Then, they said it wasn't going to be fixed due to damage and that it needed a new motherboard. Repair cost was going to be 3 dollars less than I paid for it new a year before. There was no damage, and it was pointed out it was not sent in because it wasn't working, but because the keyboard intermittently worked and the laptop worked just fine with an external keyboard. Then they said it wasn't going to be repaired due to spillage on the keyboard? There was no spillage. What are they talking about? I think maybe that is just their standard excuse for not repairing keyboards. Well, the warranty is definitely expired now. Note I am writing this a MONTH later and still don't have the laptop. So while their reason seems to keep changing, one thing is clear, they are not going to fix the laptop under warranty no matter what. I can buy a new laptop for less than they want to charge to have this one fixed. So I am having it returned. They say there is no guarantee it will still be in working condition when it is returned. It was in working condition when it was received, it seems it should be in the same condition when it is returned. My hope is, the reason their story kept changing was because they never even bothered to open it up and look at it. Once I get it back, since the warranty is now actually over, if it is still working, I will open up the case, reseat the cable, and I expect everything will work fine. After this experience, I guess I will have to rethink adding to my Lenovo collection. Too bad because I really like their products and was kind of eyeing the Chromebook Duet 5. Oh well.

Love that it’s touch screen, backlit keyboard, split screen to work on 2 different things at once, love that you can set at many angles and use like a laptop. Glad to have purchased a new one 5 years later! I will always keep buying these. Oh, also love the SSD! I actually got the last one in the store that day, very grateful!

Love touch screens.....would not go back. Price would be nice if it had been less expensive. I've had Lenovo laptops in the past and was very satisfied with their quality.
