I bought it as open box and evidently someone named Samantha owned it before me, it did not come with complete set up instructions and I am having trouble changing the login from Samantha to Betty. Once I get that figured out hopefully I can do a better review. It is much smaller than I am accustomed to so for now I still use my Toshiba.

You can keep your computer running at its best by keeping the Windows 10 Operating System and all supporting BIOS files and drivers up to date. You can easily accomplish this by scanning the computer with the Lenovo Utility software available on this computer. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". Lightweight and trim

I had a Lenovo Think Pad for years, but it became dated. The Yoga has all the features that I typically used for a personal laptop. One item that takes getting used to is the shield on the camera. It is so tiny, it is hard to tell if it’s open or closed. I wished there was some color there or similar so you could easily determine open or closed. But that’s it so far. Since I bought a hub to use, having fewer ports is ok.

Regarding identifying whether your Privacy Shutter is open or closed on your webcam, there will be a red dot over the webcam lens when the Privacy Shutter is closed. It is small but due to the bright color, it is easily visible. When you slide the manual Privacy Shutter tab to the right to open the Privacy Shutter, the red dot over the camera lens will disappear. This indicates that the webcam is ready to use.

Great computer for the price point

Nice construction, with a neat camera privacy feature. The only minor issues I have with it is how glossy the screen is, which makes it hard to view in very well lit indoor areas and especially outside on a sunny day. The keyboard also being the same color as the body makes the keyboard backlight look a bit strange but for typing at night it should not be a problem at all.

Yet, sometimes you have no other choice. Helping out my daughter to get something reasonable and affordable which will last a bit long (4-5 years) This is NOT a gaming laptop and never meant to be. It's for student use and home use for daily tasks and need include: Internet eMail Microsoft office - student license. (will workwell for Home edition as well). Good deal! Enjoin.

The machine is lightweight and fast and comes well reviewed from tech sights. The display is bright and clear, the keys are soft touch and quiet. The major downside we see so far is only 1 USB port. Many other machines in this price point have multiples. We bought it on sale and with other incentives. I would not pay the full list price of $849-899.
