Resolution inadequate.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We were lead to believe that the signage advertising higher resolution was for the television next to it. Wrong! We were replacing an older flatscreen that hung over our fireplace and clarity was sought for these older eyes.

Posted .Hello, we are sorry to hear you are experiencing this issue with your Lenovo Yoga C740 laptop model #81TC000JUS . Please ensure the webcam is active by pressing the f8 key which has a camera picture on it. This can commonly disable the camera by accident. Next please ensure that the camera privacy shutter is turned off. This is a little black switch that is located above the webcam at the top of your screen. moving the slider to the red will block the camera, moving the slider the other direction will allow the camera to function. if your issue remains please ensure you have the latest software, device drivers, and BIOS installed on your machine. You can easily accomplish this by scanning the computer with the Lenovo Utility software available on this computer. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan” In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". This will scan your device to be sure there are no new BIOS/Driver updates needed. Follow any instructions that may pop up. If the issue continues after these updates, we recommend you call Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686 for additional help.

||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So the Lenovo Yoga C740 laptop that I am writing the review for is no longer working. I had it for 18 months. Turns out it needs a battery to the tune of $215. In the 18 months of gentle use, it was serviced 3 times. I also spent hours on the phone with tech for various issues. Was the battery the problem all along? I’ll never know because I am done with the computer and Lenovo, who was of NO SUPPORT when I called.

Posted .The Lenovo Yoga C740-14 will boot from off to the Windows 10 Desktop in less than 10-seconds. It will access files and programs stored on the computer's solid state hard drive, in less than 5-seconds. If you are getting slower than anticipated performance, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programming errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If the problem persists, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686.

Laptop Lenovo C740
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great laptop. Very efficient, had all the programs I needed. This is my first touch screen laptop and it just made using it so convenient. Battery lasted all day. You do have to be careful when you fold it all the way back to use it as a tablet as the hinge can be delicate, but this is with any device I’m sure. Overall, no complaints.

Touchpad has Never Worked
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Since Day 1, the touchpad has not worked. There are no Touchpad tabs available in Settings, or in the Drivers on Device Manager. There are no drivers for Touchpad on the Lenovo site. I've reset the computer back to factory settings once, and this didn't fix it. Lenovo support can't help past their Level 1 playbook. Escalations to Level 2 support go unanswered. I paid $900 for this and got the value of $9.

Completely Disappointed
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I went to Best Buy because I am not an expert with computers. I took my old laptop in and asked the Best Buy employee to help me find something as close to what I had. He recommend this piece of junk with hardly any memory and almost no USB ports or an SD card port. I had to go buy a $90 device to be able to get more USB ports and and SD Card reader. My kids got better laptops from their school.

Terrible computer!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As the owner of several Lenovo laptops I was a fan of the brand as I have found them to be reliable and I had never had an issue. However this most recent purchase was either defective or they sold me an item as new that maybe wasn’t. The laptop resets on its own nearly every single day while in use, sometimes more than once a day and it’s not even a month old. I will be looking to return.

Posted .We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Lenovo Yoga C740-14. It is possible that resetting the computer back to original factory settings will fix the issue and reset the battery within the device. Since you can not boot the computer, this system is equipped with OneKey Recovery System. There is a very small pin hole on the bottom, right side of the device, right near the top right edge of the cooling vent on the bottom of the device. You will need a pin to push this reset button. Plug the device in. Let the battery charge for about 15 minutes. Push the reset button. The system should boot to a choice screen where you can choose "Restore To Factory Default". Select this. It will delete everything from the hard drive except the original factory install of the operating system. You will need to reinstall all programs and files after the reset. If you don't have copies of the files, try to make one before you restore by selecting "Boot to desktop" and trying to back up your files. If the problem persists after the factory reset, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686.
