I got it for $720 as used fair condition, I would not buy this full price. Good laptop, battery life was sub-par. I had an issue with the screen flickering and had to return it though. The sound was great and the screen was really bright, the stylus was a nice touch.

We are sorry to hear that you had an issue with your Lenovo Yoga C940-14 4K model with a screen flicker. You can easily accomplish this by scanning the computer with the Lenovo Utility software available on this computer. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Nice 2 in 1 laptop. good build quality. Runs multiple programs well. The screen resolution is really nice. Both the keyboard and touch screen are good. No software/screen issues. Comes with a pen for drawing. No bloatware installed as with some manufactures.

Pricey when compared to entry-level 2-in-1's but worth it. I have a Yoga 730 which has a plastic frame and has subsequently started having screen flickering issues from one-handed picking up. If you're of the opinion that you should be able to pick up your laptop with one hand without causing stress on the frame and therefore the motherboard, buy this laptop. The performance speaks for itself in the specs. The aluminum enclosure and solid construction are worth the extra $. This is not a laptop which has advertised features which 'kinda' work; they all do.

Bought this for a college art student. It is lightweight and easy to carry. The colors on the screen are very vivid which is good for art and the garage for the stylus is very convenient for keeping it charged. Love the way the stylus can be used as a mouse when drawing with it, and that you can set the buttons to work with functions of your choice. It also converts to a tablet. So far it is working great and easy to use.

First time Lenovo owner & loving it! Easy to use 2in1 computer! Straightforward functions make it easy when changing settings. I typically have several pages open at once without a single glitch or problem, same great experience in tablet mode as well. Photos/videos are very vivid and clear. Sound is always amazing! The Lenovo Yoga met a long list of technical requirements for my nursing program when other brands didn't.

I had planned to use this part time plugged into a full size monitor, mouse and keyboard & hard drives, and part time as a laptop. As a laptop it's virtually perfect except for short battery life (about 4.5 - 5.5 hours) and the edges are sometimes uncomfortably sharp. I had to return it however because when used plugged into externals, the mouse hangs up a lot when the usb ports get busy, especially activity with any kind of external storage. So the mouse was super jumpy or completely dead sometimes for 40 seconds at a time. I discovered that laptops with ports on two sides typically have two separate buses and can handle this type of application with no problem, including my 4 year old samsung spin. Strange that an old mid level machine outperforms this one in that one way!

Specs vs Price is a great value but only when there is no defect. The 14 inch size is just right as 13 inch is usually too small of a screen for me and 15 inch screen laptops are usually too heavy. Batttery life is not too impressive as the 4K screen seems to use a lot a power. I seem to get an average of 4~5 hours of use and this is much less compared to other laptops of this size. Performance seem to be excellent in day to day work with almost unnoticeable heating but this may be because I don't perform that many of CPU/GPU resource intensive tasks. Now the worrisome part of this laptop... This is the third unit I am on from Bestbuy. First unit was an open box, excellent condition. Right out of the box, the initiated laptop would not move past the set-up screen. Also, the mouse curser was missing and could not be brought back so I returned the unit. Second unit was a brand new sealed unit. After approximately 7 days of use, the screen would start to display scrolling waves of the task bar once in a while for no reason. Also the screen would flicker for about 30 seconds~ 1 minute after getting out of a sleep screen so I returned and got a replacement unit. Third unit has been over 10 days of use with no problems so far but keeping my fingers crossed. The reason I kept sticking to this laptop was there does not seem to be one other model with a 4K screen, 16GB RAM, i7, 512SSD at less the 3lbs with a price point a little above the $1K mark as these specs usually require mid $1K price points. Great value for the price has kept me on this laptop and I plan to purchase the extended warranties offered by Lenovo as it seems cheap too.

We are sorry to hear of the issues you are having with the Lenovo Yoga C940-14 4K model. First, Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programming errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. Second, make sure you have the latest version of Windows 10 on the computer, then update all of the BIOS files and drivers up to that latest version of Windows 10. You can easily accomplish this by scanning the computer with the Lenovo Utility software available on this computer. Great laptop so far for the price point and comes with a stylus pen which is a plus. I was hesitant to switch from a Microsoft Surface, but so far have no regrets. I recommend running Lenovo Vantage app as soon as you set up your laptop. This is a great tool that comes installed and keeps the laptop running fast and up to date. I have had no glitching issues so far that others have mentioned, but I went ahead and bought the extended warranty in case. One negative: The battery life is only a few hours. When I start to travel for work again, this will be a huge issue for me. If you work from home, this shouldn't be a problem. For now, I mostly keep my laptop plugged in and turn on "conservation mode" in the battery settings to maximize the lifespan of the battery.

Thank you for choosing the lenovo Yoga C940-14 4K model. This configuration ships with a 4CELL_60WH_INTERNAL, Lithium Polymer Battery, with a battery life of up to 10 hours, depending on the work the device is performing. If you are getting substantially less battery life, First, set your screen brightness at less than 100-percent - try 80-percent to start with. Then, be sure Battery conservation Mode is turned off. This power management setting should only be used when the laptop is plugged in all the time. It will prolong overall battery life by only charging the battery to 60-percent of capacity. Here is a link to instructions for turning off Battery Conservation Mode: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/ht103159. Also check what programs are running in the background on the computer. Be sure only the programs you want running in the background are. These programs will drain the battery. Here is a link to information about how to find out what programs are running in the background on your Windows 10 computer and how to manage them for better system performance: https://www.windowscentral.com/how-prevent-apps-running-background-windows-10. Then, finally, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. Incompatible software will drain the battery at a faster rate. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. previous Lenovo user/owner. Have been using Lenovo for many years, have used other brands. always recommend Lenovo. Got the yoga 900 when it first came out. Was very impressed with design and performance. Was intending to buy the C930, but then the C940 just came out, and just had to get it. Overall very pleased with design, performance, price. This is a remarkably well made laptop that ticks all the boxes for a reasonably demanding business user . . . that doesn't have content creation or, ahem, "gaming" needs for their work machine. It is really quite snappy with its i7-1065 CPU, Optane-fired M.2 512g SSD, and lovely (in this case) 4k screen all in solid, yet lightweight, metal ultraportable case. I would say that this configuration represents "balanced performance" with no subsystem, save possibly graphics, holding back the rest of the unit. Those who need a GPU should look elsewhere but the 10th gen Iris Plus graphics are a step ahead of previous Intel embedded graphics. My previous unit was a Surface Pro 3 -- my first laptop was in 1994 -- and the c940 exceeds it in every way; it even weighs the same when the mandatory Surface keyboard is factored in. Blessedly (compared to the Surface) the fans are quiet even under load and -- what a concept -- the battery is user replaceable with a torx bit. I am really quite impressed with the dual fan thermal management system, which is needed in such a small case. All is not puppies and kittens: the paucity of ports comes with the ultrabook form factor; you pay for the 4k HDR screen in battery life; the included pen is hardly useable for adult male hands; and i have had a few issues with the touch screen losing cursor synchronization (which the Surface never had). Frustratingly I cannot find a functional cover with corner protection for drops which is annoying. I suppose a Thinkpad is sturdier but this unit seems plenty stout to me; no flexing in reasonable use. A solid buy i should say.

Forced to use a PC (as opposed to a Mac), I went on the hunt for something that I could easily use on the airport lap tray that was a high quality PC. I first tried the HP Spectre 360, which I found a bit flimsy with annoyingly loud fans under light load. This Lenovo was noticeably faster and better built, but I wish I hadn't sprung for the 4K display. I had no idea that Windows 10 did such a lousy job of handling resolution issues across displays, especially with Citrix. I wish I'd saved some money with the regular HD display and gotten the darker color at the same time. To give you an idea about how I feel about this PC, I am typing this review on my MB Pro because I left the PC at home. :-|

The laptop is beautifully crafted with aluminum. The dimension and weight are decent for a modern upscale 14 inch laptop. The UHD screen is gorgeous with deep black and vivid color (500 nits). The sound from the laptop totally blew me away. I cannot believe this clear and solid sound is from a laptop. The Dolby Atmos speaker system integrated with the hinge (facing to the user directly) really works. You can clearly hear the 3D sound and feel the sound stage when the Dolby Atmos is turned on. The laptop is suitable for multimedia entertainment because of the excellent display and sound. Like all Levono Thinkpad, the keyboard is comfortable to use with decent travel depth. Batter than my Macbook Pro's keyboard. But the force trackpad on Macbook is still the best. The C940 goes head to head with XPS 13, spectre360 13, Surface laptop3 but with best CP value. So far, I am satisfied for my purchase.

I appreciate that this is the smaller 14” screen. I’ve never really like full 15.6”. This is a really high end feeling laptop, between its aluminum body and aesthetics. The rotating hinge is also very sturdy, a solid feel for tent mode. Performance has been great as well, and I’ve also used it with a Thunderbolt 3 eGPU for added graphics performance.

Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Yoga C940-14 4K model number 81Q90041US. This model ships with a 4CELL_60WH_INTERNAL, Lithium Polymer Battery, which, within this configuration, has a battery life of up to 10 hours, depending on the work the device is performing. If the problem persists, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686. Lenovo
