This laptop is wicked fast! Quick start up and fast uploads. Super light in weight with decent battery life. This is the 3rd Lenovo I've had over many years and by far the best! Very pleased with this purchase. Use it more in the laptop mode than the tablet mode but love the touch screen and included stylus. I would recommend this laptop to anyone.

The screen quality is the first thing that jumped out at me. The 4K resolution is probably overkill for a 14" size display, but I can say that it looks insanely crisp when viewing 4K content. The color depth is fantastic as well. The start up time is remarkable. If my laptop is simply in rest mode it powers up and authenticates me (by fingerprint scan) within 5 - 7 seconds. A full cold start up is only marginally slower (compared to 4 - 5 times as long coming off of an older Core i3, 4GB RAM, 128GB SSD Windows 10 laptop previously). The touch screen is perfectly responsive and the gass cleans up fingerprints really well. I haven't used the included pen much but I do think there will be opportunities to use it. Overall, solid product for a user in need of some decent processing power that isn't purpose built for games.

Good: Screen very sharp & clear. Very fast. Key shape comfortable. Fit & finish very good. Best Buy is handling Corona adjustments very well. Bad: Backlit keys still a little hard to see, turns lights off too soon. Awkward to open if you don't have long fingernails. Not programmed to unlock using Hello facial recognition- fingertip log-in works fine.

Been looking a long time for a good laptop and this is it. Solid build, beautiful 4k screen (and bright!). This laptop with a 14" display is lighter, and maybe slightly smaller, than the 13.3" Dell I've been using for years. If I had one small con, I think the keys are too stiff. Typing is just okay for me. Lenovo should soften the travel a little IMO. Also, I finally did a speed test today and the wifi 6 was only getting about 30 meg down. I tested my phone and was getting my normal 400+ down. I tried the Lenovo Vantage app but it showed no updates of any kind. I updated the wifi driver through device manager and am now getting 400+ down. I've seen some people complain about the fans and noise but I haven't experienced that. I usually only hear the fans if I am updating or installing something. Even then it is a gentle whoosh. Battery life, I can get about 7 hours with brightness turned halfway down. I think the C940 is a solid 4 1/2 stars. Recommend it.

Currently, a university student and had to transition to an online learning environment as our campus is closed. I had a MacBook Pro 13 in, w/ touch bar, 8gb of ram, and an intel i5. It was an upgraded version as it had 4 USB c ports as well. When we transferred to the online platform the mac was struggling with processing Zoom and many open tabs. This computer is lighting quick and feels like an instant on feel. Great quality and feels premium. The soundbar beats most laptops hands down, and the speed of the optane and 16gb of ram makes it so I have yet to have any stalling. Also, it has USB-A which is super helpful. I was originally looking at apple and a similarly powered model is over 2k easy. This new processor is amazing.

After a lot of research on the C940, HP Spectre x360 and a couple others, I decided to pull the trigger on this when Best Buy dropped the price 300 bucks. I am thoroughly impressed with everything about this laptop. The build quality is awesome. The display is absolutely beautiful in 4k. It runs cool and is quiet as can be. Haven't had it off the charger yet so I can't comment on actual battery life. At this price I really don't think you can find a better deal. If you're on the fence, buy it now!

I love my laptop and all the wonderful visuals I can now see. The clarity of movies, the awesomeness of the streaming and multiple options from which I can choose most anything I want to see or hear - unbelievable! I love the compactness of this little genius. It is fantastic! I had been spoiled by my old laptop and was truly upset when it finally reached the end of its life! But this Lenovo has stolen my heart. I’m still discovering so many other perks of the computer. Can hardly wait until the holidays are over so I can spend time learning all if these new features that in time will be making my life easier! I am so happy with this purchase because it happened at just the right time - the price, the sale, the financing option of zero within a specified time! I had no trouble connecting my printers, my internet and external disk drive. I don’t think you will be disappointed if you were to choose this Lenovo Yoga computer as you newest best friend!

This laptop has just about every feature covered. It took me quite a long time to decide on this model, but given everything in it, it's a no-brainer from a specification perspective (my trade off here was not getting a graphics card). The form factor is thin, the screen just the right size for a decent 2 in 1 experience as well as laptop style. Screen is bright and clear, there is a stylus if you need to use it for writing/drawing. There RAM is more than sufficient and the SSD storage is plenty. Available ports are 2 thunderbolts (1 is also charger) and 1 usb as well as a headphone jack. Cons: as with most new products, optical drives are going away, so don't expect to be watching movies from anything other than streaming. Battery life (as described in other reviews) is not the best thing, however I am seldom at a place where there is no outlet. Also there is no ethernet port, so expect to use wifi as the main network source.

Thanks for choosing the Lenovo Yoga C940 4k Laptop. We are pleased to hear the features, performance, ultra HD resolution, build quality, included pen, and feather light design of the Yoga C940 4k are meeting your computing needs so well! You can add on ethernet port and a CDROM with an external adapter like the ones in these links if needed. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/insignia-usb-to-ethernet-adapter-white/6418345.p?skuId=6418345 and https://www.bestbuy.com/site/lg-8x-external-usb-double-layer-dvdrw-cd-rw-drive-black/5852919.p?skuId=5852919 . For the battery life please adjust your screen brightness settings. A setting of 100% brightness will drain your battery much faster than a lower setting. We recommend setting the screen brightness to some value below 100% that is still comfortable for you to view. Next be sure Battery conservation Mode is turned off. This power management setting should only be used when the laptop is plugged in all the time. It will prolong overall battery life by only charging the battery to 60-percent of capacity. Here is a link to instructions for turning off Battery Conservation Mode: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/ht103159. Also check what programs are running in the background on the computer. Be sure only the programs you want running in the background are. These programs will drain the battery. Here is a link to information about how to find out what programs are running in the background on your Windows 10 computer and how to manage them for better system performance: https://www.windowscentral.com/how-prevent-apps-running-background-windows-10. Then, finally, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. Incompatible software will drain the battery at a faster rate. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programming errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. Got this for my soon to be high school student. He loves it. My wife loves it cause it’s a step up from her work computer, so it was easy for her to navigate. My other son loves it for its gaming capabilities. I like it because of the multiple was you can log onto your sight via password, fingerprint, or pin code. Was a bit price, $1400, but we bought it hoping it last him through his high school years. Very light weight. Good look. Great picture and sound. Appears to be a good purchase.

I love this little laptop, It folds all the way over and becomes a tablet with a little pen nestled in the back. The screen is awesome.... I have a light shining on top of it right now, and I can see the screen just fine. I have bad eyesight and I can see this just fine. It is lightweight. I am now running Win 11 with no issues at all. I don't even noice the updates. There are no ports except for 1 usb and 2 usb c type. And a hole for your headset. The power plugs into one of the usb c ports. The blue tooth and wi-fi connect right up. I just love the portability and sleekness of the machine. Keyboard is spaced out and keeys are larger, I am a speed typist and I love this keyboard.

Overall, it meets expectation. The pen is sensitive to write and the touch screen is responsive. The battery life is fairly short, it gets about 4 hours with casual web browsing and moderate gaming. Sometimes the laptop gets hot so it is uncomfortable to hold or place on the lap. With a number of negative reviews out there that the screen is broken off the bat, I am just happy this laptop functions well enough for my needs.

The Lenovo Yoga C940-14 4K model ships with a 4CELL_60WH_INTERNAL, Lithium Polymer Battery, with a battery life of up to 10 hours, depending on the work the device is performing. The Lenovo Yoga C940-14 4K model number 81Q90041US, ships with a 4CELL_60WH_INTERNAL, Lithium Polymer Battery, with up to a 10 hour battery life, depending on the work the device is performing. If you are getting substantially less battery life, first, set your screen brightness at less than 100-percent - try 80-percent to start with. Then, be sure Battery conservation Mode is turned off. If the problem persists, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686. Lenovo

Good But Doesn't Suit My Needs

I'm giving this computer a 4-star review, even though I returned it, because it is fundamentally a good machine -- it just didn't serve my needs. The good: - I bought it as an "open box Geek Squd-certified" system, and aside from a non-essential paper manual, nothing was missing, and it looked and worked like new. I definitely would do this again. - It seemed snappy and responsive, and the display was reasonably bright for indoors use. The bad: - I actually installed Ubuntu Linux onto this system, and I noticed multiple issues configuring the display and other features. (Possibly this is irrelevant to Windows users) - There are one USB-A and two newer USB-C ports -- slightly too few for my needs. - I thought that a higher resolution screen would be better, but it wasn't for my needs. I had trouble configuring my Ubuntu OS to present large enough text to read. The ugly: No ugly. The main reason I bought a computer with a fold-back screen was my thinking that it could be oriented verically with the keyboard hidden so that I would have more desk space to use it with my external keyboard. But that didn't work out -- not only did I still sometimes have to use the now-hidden keyboard and the power button, it still took up significant space when propped up. So it went back. (FYI: My next attempt will be to buy a mini-pc for external keyboard & display, which will be at least semi-portable; but I'll need to find a keyboard & monitor at my destination. I don't want another tower form factor, since I value compactness over configurability.)

This is a great laptop. I love that I can use it as a tablet and that the stylus comes with it. The display is beautiful and love that it’s light weight. The battery life is very good.

Great laptop but 4K not needed

I really wanted to like this laptop. The build quality was great. The performance was solid. The 4K screen was really nice, sharp, and bright (really bright at 500 nits). But, I had two issues with the screen: (1) I felt it drained the battery really quickly, (2) when I "dock" the laptop and use an external monitor, it was a frustrating experience because my external monitor was lower resolution (1920x1200). I couldn't get the Windows setting right where the text size would look normal on both screens at the same time; either the laptop would look fine but the external too small, or vice versa. Also, when moving apps from one screen to the other, the font sizes wouldn't adjust to the different resolutions until I closed the app and restarted it on the monitor I wanted. Granted, I think this is a Windows-specific and app-specific issue, and not a reflection of the laptop quality itself. I returned this laptop in favor of the c940 model with the 1080 screen. Honestly, I found the 1080 screen to be just fine for a 14" laptop. It wasn't quite as bright (400 nits), but the battery life was significantly better.

Got this as an open box for under $1000. Works great. Solid build, screen is nice and the rest of the specs are also good. Original price for this machine was over $1500. The included pen is a great feature if you want to take notes or draw.
