I used this in an older 1977 townhome with a tiny kitchen and the community laundry is down some stairs and not that close to the townhouse. Pros: As title says, it works fine once you get used to it. And it does take some getting used to. I would recommend this anyway, just because you are not sharing with other people, and not having to feed it money to make it work. Cons: When drying it uses a bunch of power. I can't use my DW or Microwave when this is "Drying". My solution is just to hit the "Pause" button, microwave my stuff, then start the laundry up again. Not a con but a slightly annoying reality, It takes twice as long to do a load of laundry because it is only one unit for washing and drying. All told, I would buy this again, no problem.

I have wanted to put a unit like this in my kitchen for some time. I have a full size washer/dryer set in my lower level but my daughter lives down there and it was inconvenient for everyone. I had an old unused dishwasher and this fits beautifully in the same spot. I had a plumber make the water and drain connections. I love the convenience and it works beautifully. It has numerous preset cycles, but you can customize any one (add dry time, change water temp etc). I should have done this ages ago!

This is my second LG washer dryer combo. I have found it to be a much improved version of the one I bought in 2005. The technology for drying seems better and I notice no smell with this one as I did the other one.

This washer/dryer combo is great for small spaces. We are so happy we purchased this product. It takes a little longer to wash and dry clothes because of the ventless dryer but it works great.

I've seen reviews saying this doesn't dry clothes all the way or very well. I have NOT had any problems with this unit. I used this in a small kitchen renovation, along side the Bosch 18" DW seen in the attached picture. Both appliances purchased from Best Buy

There is a bit of a learning curve to use a machine like this, but after you've used it a few times, you can learn how to deal with the quirks. Quirk 1) you have to use the machine for about a month to get past the weird smell it leaves on your laundry when you dry. If you have a closet full of linens that smell musty because you hardly use them, you can wash them and help get the dryer past this stage. I unfortunately don't have a lot of linens. So I held off washing my sheets in this machine for a month. (even now though I still have money on a laundromat card, but don't need to use anymore, however that's a personal problem) Quirk 2) this machine will emanate an odor like you've turned your laundry area into a beauty salon and you're giving someone a perm. I do want to stress it only smells like you're giving someone a perm; it won't irritate your eyes or anything. The smell does go away quickly after you're done with laundry. Quirk 3) if you use it to dry clothes, don't waste time choosing the fragrance of your laundry detergent or fabric softener. The drying cycle seems to remove all fragrance before it's done. And it is the drying cycle that removes it. I have used the "hand wash/wool" cycle on a wool sweater and because it doesn't go through the dry cycle it did retain the detergent fragrance. So unless you have a lot of clothes you have to hang dry, you don't need to worry about fragrances. Quirk 4) you have to remember to press the dry button if you want to use the dry cycle. I've only used two wash settings on the machine (normal and wool), but neither will run the dry cycle by default. Obviously I wouldn't use this to dry wool, but nearly all my laundry can be ran through the normal cycle and it slightly annoying to have to hit "dry" before starting a load. I think there's supposed to be a way to set the machine setting to make a custom cycle that might include the dry cycle, but I haven't found this quirk so irksome to look into this. Quirk 5) don't wash pillow cases with fitted sheets. They will get tangled and not dry well. While everything seems to come out damp, but by the time it cools off, it will feel completely dry. The exception I've found has been pillowcases that have gotten stuck in the folds of a fitted sheet. It won't take too long for them to dry, but it's just as easy to put them in a different load. Quirk 6) loads do seem to take a while, but seems how I don't have to transfer loads from a washer to a dryer so I've just learned to do sheets first, blanket and pillowcases second (if I think the blanket needs to be washed), then weekly laundry. Quirk 7) if you wash anything with metal (e.g. buttons and/or zippers), do not touch the metal when you pull out the laundry after you dry it. IT WILL BE INSANELY HOT! If you find out you cannot avoid touching metal on your clothes when you take it out, consider letting your laundry cool a bit before you take it out. Now while I might have quite a few quirks, most are not an issue [anymore; e.g. quirk 1]. The biggest problem is how long it takes to do a load, but with as little effort it takes to do a load of laundry, I definitely can live with this quirk. You can get quite a bit done when you don't have to go back to your washer to transfer laundry to a dryer.

Living in a condo, I have to be very aware of size. My laundry is located in 1 of the bedrooms so I wanted to utilize the space for dual purposes. I also wanted a clean open area that didn’t need to be enclosed. After hours of research, this brand/model seemed to fit the bill. As already warned, these combos take a lot longer to compete cycles and the clothes have not felt 100% dry. However, the machine is appealing and compact so I’m able to fit it in my other needs. I plan to alter my washing routines such as starting cycles when I leave the house being it takes so long to complete. Not much I can do on the clothes feeling damp issue. In the end, it is worth the trade off. Last point to note is I did smell a burning like odor on one of my loads. I’ll have to watch this being I’ve only put 5 loads thru this new combo.

I love this machine, I love that I no longer have to remember to switch the laundry. My only cons: wrinkles...this machine wrinkles like nothing I've ever seen. My steamer takes them out, but it can be annoying. More wrinkles on the pants than shirts. Also, it takes a long time, a normal wash/dry cycle is almost 4 hours...I haven't played around too much with it yet, but I know these can all be adjusted or you can do a time dry setting. Overall I am happy, but I haven't figured out how to decrease the wrinkles yet.

I've had this for a coupe of months now. I've been very happy with it mostly because it has saved me from using the community laundry room. This machine has a lot of bells and whistles which are frankly, overkill. It is super easy to hook up and it does get the job done.. although it takes a bit of a longer time to accomplish it than other washer/dryers. I don't do much drying mostly because I like to air-dry my clothes otherwise I would be disappointed with the drying times of ~ 3 hours for a medium load. Its operation is super quiet, and the vibration when it's doing the final rinse is very acceptable. I don't know if there is a "dry only" option yet, but I usually don't like my garments crisp so if they don't come out fully dried I just hang them for a couple of hours and they are done. Overall, a good buy, if a little on the very expensive side

This is the first time I have ever used a washer/dryer combo in a single machine. I love it. I love programming it and a couple of hours later my clean clothes are ready to fold and put away. There was a learning curve in programming the load. I didn't mind. The instillation is demanding but now this is the quietest machine I have ever used. My only complaint ( and it is small) is that I cannot put wet clothing into the machine just for drying, the shortest cycle is rinse and dry. I'll live with it. Finally, the compact size has increased the storage area in my utility room.

I bought this washer/dryer combo unit to replace an approximately 15 year old Haier washer/dryer combo unit. I live in an apartment so how space is used is important. It fits in the same space (approximately 2-ft wide by 2-ft deep under-the-counter space in my kitchen). The drum is bigger however so it can handle slightly larger loads. I think this is due to the direct drive system of the rotation motor. It gets my clothes cleaner with less water than my previous unit. NOTE: Don't be alarmed if u don't see water sloshing around during wash cycle. It actually shoots the limited amount of water into the clothes during the cycle to loosen dirt. I've also found this unit dries more fully than my previous model. Yes, a full wash & dry cycle can take about 2.5 hours due in part to the evaporation/no-vent drying, but once clothes are out of the machine for about 15-30 second any residual moisture evaporates into the air. This is normal having owned a similar machine previously. I found myself needing to redry clothes with my older model. Also the spin cycle on this machine is amazingly robust! I have no complaints. It's more than I expected. I'm finding myself looking for things to wash.

I've been on the fence for quite some but after doing extensive research, reading reviews here, on Amazon, and elsewhere, decided to purchase this. I'm only a day in but so far I'm glad I did! While I'm not restricted to a compact unit, venting a traditional dryer in my apartment was going to be near impossible so I spent months looking into ventless combo units and settled on this one. A couple of my initial concerns were the size, how well it dries, and smell (a couple reviews mentioned smell after drying clothes). To the first point, the size is fine. So far I haven't had to reduce load size really at all and if I do, it'll be minimal. It actually dries really well. As others have mentioned, when you pull clothes out at end of cycle, they feel damp, but steam dry in 30 seconds. As to the smell after drying, I noticed the first couple loads but after that it's primarily laundry detergent that I smell. (I use Frey). The only point I would make is this, it needs to be uber level... front, back, and side to side. This thing spins extremely fast. I thought I had it level but my first two loads on the spin cycle made a lot of noise. I re-leveled it and it is much better! I'll update if needed but so far, love this thing!!

This compact washer/dryer combo is efficient and quiet. It has more settings then I know what to do with. Due to size it easily fits anywhere. It’s great the it has a wash and dry cycle together so it’s one continuous setting. I love it!

This machine has not given us any issues what so ever. Glad i bought a more expensive one. We have probably done 80-100 loads in it so far. We have it in our 5th wheel camper, and it works fine off the water pump. My only complaint is that it dries a little longer than it needs to on “normal dry”. It can be stopped about 30 minutes early, but then you don't get the cool down. What you need to know: - This washer uses a fair bit of water. Im guessing around 30 gallons per load. - The dryer function gets the clothes hot, really hot. - Normal cycle time with dry is 3.5-4 hours, unless you overload it. - You need to use crystal fabric softener with this machine, trust me. - dryer made the clothes smell weird at first, this took awhile to go away, but its gone now. Fabric softener helps. - shakes the camper pretty good, normal, but solid level surface will help.

This LG washing machine and dryer combo works excellent washes clothes and dries them perfectly the only thing I must say is you have to learn how to adjust your settings like people say in the other reviews. When you use the dryer you need to make sure you do not have the spin cycle on and it is just on dry and do not overload the machine. Washes perfectly my clothes come out so clean I’m so amazed how powerful this machine is..

Well I got my washer dryer it’s working fine, still trying to fine the right way of drying my clothes it seams they come out damp. So being it’s new to me I will keep trying the drying setups until I fine the right setting. It does take longer but that is ok. When I use the wash dry setup with a small load it does dry my clothes almost complete, like I said before I’ll keep at it and hope I can fine setting.

We bought this washer/dryer to put in our RV to solve our laundry dilemma. It does shake the whole RV during the spin cycle, but you get used to it. If you use dryer sheets the clothes come out smelling weird (I'm guessing because the convention drying?) But fabric softener solves the problem. If you overload the machine the clothes come out super wrinkly. The wash and dry setting is very convenient, no need to switch between washer and dryer. But with that said you can only do one load every 3 or so hours. Overall I'm very pleased with this machine.

Really Great Wash & Dry in one appliance. Very convenient. But Reset your expectation. Cons: Does smaller loads that take longer to dry Pros: a) Gain lot of personal time. Just drop in your clothes & setup. Don't need to wait for wash to finish and move clothes to dryer; b) You gain space single-unit compact design c) Lower cost of new installs, & flexibility to locate even in closet as it does not need of vent (One hot & cold water & drain).

Excellent machine. But I am giving it four stars because two reasons: 1) it is very loud and 2) it takes very long time to complete the cycle. Other than that it is a good size machine, great for small places and wash the clothes really good.
