Satisfied so far
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this model to replace an older LG top loader without an agitator that would constantly go off balance. I was a little apprehensive about buying another LG because of the issues I had with the previous one. After doing some research, I discovered that pretty much all brands have similar issues. I decided to give LG another try based on all the positive reviews. I have been very impressed so far and I'm glad I went with the model with an agitator. I haven't had any balance issues and it seems to do a better job of washing.

Review Washer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am extremely pleased with my new washer. I bought this one to replace an LG that did not have an agitator (which I did not like). It washes well and is pretty quiet.

Back to a Top Loader
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a front loader. Never again. This makes so much more sense. None of that gasket getting gross, leave the door open stuff. I got the agitator because sometimes you need it. It’s good for my delicates AND smelly gym clothes. No reason not to give it 5 stars other than I just got it a few weeks ago. So far- no negatives. However- I’m tall-if you are not tall, reaching the bottom might be an issue.

BEST washer I've owned!
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this washer to replace my Samsung washer that crapped out (STAY AWAY FROM ALL SAMSUNG APPLIANCES) and I LOVE it. The tub is big enough for king comforters to get thoroughly cleaned and the spin cycle gets out like 99% of the excess water! saving your energy bill with the dryer! the only "complaint" I would say is the wash cycle has a loud almost grinding noise? But cleans fantastic!

LG washer
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My Samsung washer went out and I purchased this to replace it. Went with the agitator version as I felt clothes were never really clean with an impeller. The LG washer looks nice and cleans clothes well; however, it is loud compared to what I had before. Overall, it is about the same operation-wise and I am happy with the washer. The experience with the Geek Squad was a whole different story--I have never been treated so rudely. I hope no one else has to go through that.

This washer does not know what “lid is open” means
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got the white version of this washing machine partly because of its clear glass (good for elders). The stainless steel version of this washer has hard-to-see-through glass. White cheery — gray creepy. There is nothing dingier than a front-loading washer, no matter what color. I got a top-loader. AGITATOR vs. IMPELLER An “impeller” is a pretend concept. I bought a washer with an agitator. An agitator is “tried and true” — it has stood the test of time — it is “old-style,” “old-world,” “traditional.” Old-fashioned is fine with me! The appliance industry (male decision-makers) is foisting “impeller” washers on homemakers. Women fall for it. Agitators evolved from washboards which, in turn, evolved from rocks in brooks and rivers. Impellers are clothes bumping into other clothes — how would that result in clean clothes? Nobody can convince me that “clothes-on-clothes” is better than “clothes-on-agitator” (aka clothes-on-rock). As any woman knows, new-and-improved is not always better — often, older is better. In washers, “old” sticks to the basics and is reliable and predictable. In these Covid days, who DOESN’T want reliable and predictable? THIS WASHER It is odd that this washer wouldn’t let me first fill the tub with water. The washer insisted I put clothes in first. (The most basic cycle is Permanent-Press.) I waited until the water filled the tub (it took about 10 minutes), then halted the washer, waiting for the lid to unlock, then putting the lid up (open). One has only four minutes. Move fast. Using a long spoon, I pushed the clothes down below the water line while getting a feel if the clothes are evenly distributed. If warranted, I then add clothes. I don’t touch buttons after that. DEEP FILL (3 seconds) = TWO LOADS I was “trained” as a child to shove clothes under the waterline. So, learning this new washer, I had put clothes in — but didn’t overfill it. I set the dial to “Deep Wash.” I tapped the “Deep Fill” button — the water filled with “barely enough water” which is the new-style way (where the water did not cover the clothes). Not thrilled with the small amount of water. I let the load finish its cycle. My mistake was that I hadn’t pressed the ‘Deep Fill *asterisk Max” for 3 seconds. For all future loads, I pressed the “Deep Fill” button *asterisk Max” for three seconds — the water fills the tub to its maximum. I like plenty of water. This setting washes the equivalent of two loads at a time. My dryer can’t keep up, which is the reason why I don’t start a second washer load until everything is dry from the first load. (My geographical region has plenty of water where households don’t need to ration/economize on water nor does our household pay extra for additional water. More water = clean. To each his own.) I LOATHE-DESPISE-HATE THIS CHARACTERISTIC There is one thing I loathe-despise-hate about this washer. LG calls it a “feature,” I call it a “defect.” I loaded the washer (on the dial, Deep Fill button Deep Fill *Max) with my estimate of the amount of clothes for that load. I invariably put in too few. I pushed the HOLD button and lifted the lid. “Lifting the lid” from time immemorial (since washers were invented a hundred years ago), means “stop everything.” I traipsed around the house locating suitable clothing to add to the load — I went upstairs twice. [I forgot all about the four minutes.] Even with the LID UP, the washer proceeded to automatically drain the water! I started screaming, “Why is the washer draining?” I was hysterical. All I did was take five minutes to retrieve more clothes — arrgh! This draining is insanity because it takes the control out of the hands of the person doing the wash. It must have been men who designed this because women know what “lid that is in the ‘up’ position” means. I can’t give this washer five stars. If Best Buy rejects this review, I won’t be back.

Very nice washer
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This a beautiful washer and works very well. The tub is huge and will handle most anything you would want to wash from home. From my research, I noticed customers were much happier with the cleaning performance from washers with an agitator which this one has. My only complaint is that it is hard to see the selection panel if you don't have good lighting over the washer.

LG Washer
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have had this washer for a couple of months now and it's a great one so far. Very compact compared to the front loader that we had before but without losing much of the load capacity. Didn't realized how much we missed the agitator and ability to fill the tub with water. Great machine highly recommended it plus very well built.

LG Washer
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far so good! Happy with the performance of this washing machine. We like the agitator versus the open tub from our old LG which made a lot of banging noise when it was sensing the load. Thus far none of those issues with this machine! I find most washers and dryer regardless of the brand typically have some issues which is really unacceptable for as long as washers/dryers have been manufactured. These machines are not cheap and I hope all brands start a more stringent process of testing to ensure more reliability where they last 10 years of use without breaking requiring service. Happy with LG and will update if things change

Great washer
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This washer works great and cleans well. I researched a long time before choosing it. I wanted an agitator and top loader because of the way I like to wash clothes. I also like to soak clothes for an extended amount of time. The regular settings do not allow this, but I was able to find a forum of users who figured out how to do it. My clothes come out very clean and not too wrinkled.

||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far so good, had it for a month now no issues. The water fills up all the way not like the other high efficiency washers. Washes good. It is a little noisy but not a deal breaker.love the features , looks great.leaves clothes almost dry after spin. Mine had a agitator dont feel like the impellers clean very good.

Great size, quiet
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Washes quiet and clothes are clean. The dashboard is hard to read not a good mix of colors hard to read setting. I personally have to get used to the water levels set by the sensor. I wish it put a little more in but the clothes are clean. Love the size. Able to wash my bedding now at home instead of laundry mat.

Must Buy!!!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this Washer!!!! I was skeptical about which washer to purchase. I so glad we bought this one with the agitator. This washer is big and cleans clothes really well. It took a few times to get use to but it’s easy. The washer is super quiet as well. The only thing I hear is the water coming out of my pipes.

LG washing machine
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really love this machine ! After using the impeller style machine, went back to the agitator, wow, what a difference !, clothes are definitely cleaner, the unit is quieter than my previous one, and with the “ see through “ lid it is easy to determine if we’re running the right cycle, love the fact that you can add more water if you think you need more.

So far so good! Too soon to tell.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Does a good job cleaning. Very large capacity and having the agitator helps get the clothes more clean. Still noticeable on the sound during the spin cycle from time to time. Went with the LG brand due to recommendation from appliance repair guy. Haven't had more than a month so as far as longevity goes is still yet to be determined

Good choice washer
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have been using our new LG washer for about a month now and so far so good. Chose this washer partly because of the top Consumer Reports rating. Very large wash tub allows you to do pretty big loads. Says it supports blankets and comforters. To fully understand how to use you need to download the full manual and pay attention to each preprogrammed cycles and allowable things you can modify in each. All in all it seem to be working well.
