    I bought this television six months ago and I have been pleased since day one. I would recommend this TV to anyone looking for a midsized TV with multimedia capabilities that is reasonably priced. The 49” is small enough that it does not take up too much space on a stand or when mounted on a wall, but also big enough that is easy to view from across an average sized family room or bedroom. There are several features that I think make this product a 5/5. (1) The quality of the picture is great. When accessing HD compatible networks, the colors are very vibrant and clarity is extraordinary. I enjoy renting Blu-Ray movies and watching them on my LG TV to get the best picture. (2) Because it is a Smart TV it has built in wifi compatibility and a smart hub that can download all of your favorite apps, such as Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, and Amazon. My favorite app to use is Netflix. The remote that the television comes with makes it easy to quickly access Netflix, or any of your favorite apps. The home button will bring up your apps at the bottom of the screen for a quick-click to your viewing pleasure. (3) The sound quality is great, also. The sound is so good that you can turn the volume all the way up without any distortion and without being painfully loud. I like to enhance my sound by using a 5.0 ch surround-sound system. The surround sound compatibility of the TV makes it feel that you’re fully immersed in your movie or show. The price is fantastic for the quality of TV you get. LG is a reliable brand that will last. I found the best place for my HDTV was on a TV stand in my bedroom. I hope that if you take my recommendation, you will be as satisfied as I am.

    Factory brightness/backlight setting can be fixed.

    Yep. Only one weird thing about this TV that doesn't show up until you're sitting in your underwear at midnight on the sofa, the brightness and backlight settings are too bright. This TV actually turns OFF the LED backlight behind the LCD when it knows the picture signal is black. But, when the backlight is on, you need to calibrate the brightness to turn down the grey. It's a solid TV. Its just as happy not connected to the internet (only dumb people connect their TVs directly to the internet.) Since Apple doesn't sell my personal data from my Apple TV, I'm happy until LG OLEDs get cheaper than a week in Europe.

    Good TV except it is missing a 3rd HDMI port, I was misled by the Best Buy in-store sales person who told me it had 3. I did not bother to check and when I mounted it above my fireplace and went to plug in my cable box, Sound Bar, and Blue Ray player I was livid when I discovered there were only 2. Since I had already mounted it I did not want to go through the pain of taking it down. So I hooked up my old Samsung Sound Bar via optical cable. I would have preferred to hook it up via Bluetooth but this LG TV model did not offer that unfortunately.

    Having a lot of fun with this LG Smart-tv, I am in my mid 50's, my husband is in his mid 60's and we are tickled that we even know how to use it... Most of our friends are not into learning the newest technology or tech toys so we feel glad we keep up, lol! We find the easy access to the apps on the tv way more convenient than using Chromecast or HDMI cords from our devices, we love it!

    Great tv for the size and price! Love the picture quality. Love the integrated app Channel Plus, it automatically gives you over 150 free channels. The only thing I dislike is that once you turn it off, it disconnects itself from your WiFi and when you turn it on, you must reconnect by choosing a WiFi network and entering the password all over again. Maybe there is a setting I need to check but I haven’t quite figured out why it does that. Other than that, excellent tv.

    WiFi Connection Unstable

    This was my first time buying a Smart TV and I will say, I was super excited with all of the things I can do with it. Unfortuntely the excitement changed once I began having issues with the TV connecting to my WiFi. It is beyond annoying having to manually connect to it multiple times a day because it cannot stay connected. Sometimes, it won't even connect. If I did not have cable, I would be highly disappointed because I would not be able to watch it. There's also several updates that are needed. It seems like there's a new update every time I turn it on.

    The picture is pretty clear and comparing this to my other 2 televisions, OLED & QLED sets, the clearity on this LG LK5700 is okay for one of my guest bedrooms. I wish it was a 4K TV with built in ROKU, so I could cut the cord in this bedroom. I'm big on picture quality, but grading on a scale 1-10, I'm giving it a 6. If this wasn't a anniversary gift from my employer, I would trade it to the next level up LG. I love LG TV sets, but must say, I would pass on this TV, only because it's not a 4K. Other than that, I have not had any issues after 5 days of viewing.

    When I purchased this TV I was specifically looking for a certain amount of inputs and Kinds. I was happy with this model though I thought it would have 3 HDMI as opposed to 2 that it does. I was at fault though having read the description for a same make but better model. This TV has a great picture as well as options for the smart functions. Unfortunately where the TV doesnt impress much is the sound quality. It get by for regular use but for the heavy sound effect movies you're gonna wish you had a sound bar.

    Needed to get a TV in one day for my mom in a nursing home. Did about 20 minutes of research and picked this one up. Set up was easy and connected to Wi-Fi and HDMI with no problems. My only complaint is with the stand.It appears that it there is no metal in the TV where the screws go in from the stand, so it feels a little wobbly. If the base to the stand was a firmer fit, I would have given this 5 stars.

    I bought this TV because of the size, brand, and price. I don't do apps or Wi-Fi, so the "smart" aspect is pretty much lost on me. The sound is really good - better than my last 2 TVs - although I listen via a bookshelf stereo, not the TV. I had an awful time trying to get the picture just the way I like it, then I tried Game Mode which is stunning and vibrant! I love this TV and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone and everyone!

    I love this TV. The only thing I don’t love isn’t the TV’s fault. I have Xfinity and this smart tv does not support it... I guess only Samsung does until they do an update. I should’ve asked but oh well. I like the TV enough to keep it and add Roku. I don’t have a big house so this was larger than I intended to purchase but the price couldn’t be passed over. Good picture, good sound, easy to navigate. I like it & I would buy another.

    I do not like the LG 49" TV - Model # LK5700. This TV makes a terrible hum through my speakers. I tried different cables, different outlets, and noise suppressors. Nothing works. Than I tried a Samsung 49 " TV, and there was no humming noise. There is something wrong with the LG TV's that cause a loud humming noise through my speakers. I would not recommend this TV if you are hooking it up to a Home theatre system.

    Good product for the price

    This TV has a large viewing angle so the picture remains clear when watching off center. The TV was easy to set up as are most LG TVs. It had all the necessary connections including 3 HDMI ports. The reception is rather marginal when connected using a coax cable. The picture is not near as sharp as on my 4k LG TV. The only issue with this TV is the flesh tones are too light or washed out.

    Having This In my bedroom and beingonly a few feet from the screed, I opted for The 1080P over the 4K unit. I'm so glad I did, The TV only cost me 299.00!!! and The picture and controls are First rate, I was very p[leased with the salesman who didn't try to upsell me. He sole me the best version of what I wanted. That is rare these days. Overall, a great buying experience

    I am so pleased with this TV. DId some research on brands , not a lot but the LG was rated high by others. Visited the Best Buy showroom, mulled it over, then bought online the next day and picked it up an hour later. The picture and sound are great. Like many, I cut the cable cord a while ago but this TV works perfect with an antennae and picks up the wifi and I get even more TV options then ever. All for $299. Buy it!

    I bought this LG 9 years after the first LG I had finally gave out actually enjoy LG products. It has a two icons that I was really wanting which is Netflix and Amazon Prime there's an easy access button for both and it loads up extremely fast and it has other app access that I'm really enjoying the only downfall is there's no app for DirecTV but there is an app for Sling .

    Nice TV with one issue

    My only issue with this TV is the fact that it doesn't stay connected to my internet. It's such a hassle to keep unplugging the tv and the modem. Waiting for 30 seconds reconnecting only to have it not be connected. I chose this TV because I didn't want to have to use my ROKU anymore. Now with this TV, I cannot use my ROKU. I just want it to work corrected with my apps.

    WiFi problems

    Bought this yesterday and set it up immediately. Connected to WiFi last night with no problems. Today it keeps kicking me off. This is pretty annoying. Love all the apps and the great price but WiFi is a problem. Made sure to see if the problem was on my end but my tv upstairs had no WiFi problem.

    The LG led smart tv is great. I am so glad i bought this tv and i got a great deal. I went in too best buy in the destiny usa mall to purchase a tv and i love it. The tv is bright and great volume. Very sturdy, if you prefer it on the wall. The wall mount is available also for a great value. And the employees were so helpful.

    I don't do all the techie things TVs can do today because I'm 77 and started with the old black & white TVs. My 40" died and I just wanted a good price for a good picture and good sound. I got it, and upgraded to a 49". No sound bar needed!!! And, I installed it myself with the help of the Geek Squad and Frontier Communications.
