Customers are saying

Customers frequently mention the 700W Mini Shelf System's exceptional sound quality, encompassing impressive bass and high volume. The Bluetooth connectivity and ease of use are also frequently praised, along with its compact size and good value for the price. While some users wish for longer speaker wires and a customizable equalizer, the overwhelmingly positive feedback points to a well-received product.

I purchased this system during the Black Friday Sale. The hook up is simple. The sound quality is excellent for a book shelf system. I maxed out the volume playing a cd. No distortion. I do not like the fact that it is made out of plastic. That was disappointing, but I've gotten use to it. I have not had the opportunity to record or operate the Bluetooth. Only played cd and radio. I have had a good experience with this system. I do not anticipate a problem exploring the other functions or capabilities this system offers. I paid $115.00 for this stereo system. Should have bought 2, but I was being cheap! I told a friend about this system. And they bought one too.

Got this to play music because my phone speakers and sound bar weren’t cutting it and I definitely am pleased with the power it produces for the price, my neighbor dislikes my system but that makes me love it even more. You won’t be disappointed!!! Even 2 years down the road and the speakers still hit as hard as they did out of the box!

I was looking for a stereo to replace my very old Pioneer that had been around for years, but had awesome sound. After a lot of looking and comparing, I decided on this system and I am very glad that I did. The set up was simple, even for a woman in her 60's. The sound is amazing. I was used to big three foot tall speakers and doubted that the much smaller ones would come close to the sound I had in the old stereo. I was wrong. I am very happy with this and plan to enjoy many hours of classic rock from it!

I was the "product consultant" for my 90-year old Mother in Law. She was a professional singer in her earlier years, and had several recordings of hers and some friends' performances that she'd been trying to listen to on her TV speakers, using a DVD player. She was totally spoiled by having heard them by listening to my brother's system - a high end, audiophile setup - some years ago. He had taken old tapes and tweaked them as far as they could go to clean them up - and, according to her, sounded wonderful on his gear. But hers really didn't measure up, at all. So, for years, she's been bugging me to take her shopping to buy a sound system. As I'm a bit of an audiophile myself, and had some experience in selection of components, I thought I could at least guide her to something which wasn't ridiculously expensive, but also not "cheap" - so we set off to Best Buy. We took along production CDs as a reference point, as well as the CDs resulting from my brother's massaging of the tapes, and CDs her friends had sent her. Of course, this is not a high-end component system, which meant that it was in an open area of the store, subject to all the ambient noise. We looked at all there were available and determined that this unit likely was the best, if not for anything else other than the power of the amplifier, nearly 10 times that of the closest other. So, we put in one of the production CDs to see what it sounded like. We were pleasantly surprised - even with all the store noise, it sounded great. The woofer particularly seemed to enhance the performance, and the ventilation tubes on all of the speakers helped the sound cut through the background noise. Onward we went, to her CDs. Surprise! They, too, sounded great. I presumed that the ambient noise masked the trash noise she'd been hearing on her home TV system, so I was cautiously optimistic when we took it home. Installation was very straightforward; as a previous component-kinda-guy, I instantly understood what was necessary to make the connections, but I also think that the instructions are entirely adequate for someone who has never connected a speaker or an antenna before. Our installation was physically challenging, but that had nothing to do with the system's qualities - merely that the space available for the components required some disassembly, and lifting over of, the TV shelves; once the bass speaker was in place, the shelf was slid under it, and the regular speakers slid in the ends. Now... What happens when we have a quiet environment to listen to the same, previously noisy, CDs? Ahhhhh. Like being in the front row. The sound is great. I was prepared to be disappointed, but instead am delighted with the quality of the sound from the system. We had chosen Best Buy as the most likely place to find such a system. When we entered the store, we asked the greeter where to look for the type of system we wanted. He pointed over to the shelves we eventually found ourselves in front of, saying, "Check out the LG system. It's on sale, but it's great!" He was right. And, not only was it on sale, there was a $20 coupon for that system. In the end, with the amplifier specifications grossly exceeding those of the other units available, from perhaps half as much to over double the cost, and the great sound we heard in our test, we didn't bother with the others. We love it. About the only quibble I have is that the volume knob and controls is both contrived (visual impact) and flimsy. It will displace (move off center) with very little pressure, and as it's a thin plastic, I fear for its survival; I didn't take it off to see about how robust the stem was to the volume control, but I suspect from the movement of the 'knob' that it might be bit of a weak point as well. That said, there has been no issue with that, and as her usual modus is to use a remote, it's entirely possible that the control will rarely even be touched. All in all, a great system. I'm pretty critical (engineer type) and I like it.

Have had this about a month. Really love the tech aspect of it, being able to connect it to different devices. Says it will connect to our LG tv wirelessly too but we haven't figured that out (no directions included for that option). It's loud and has plenty of bass. One thing that I wish it had was more equalizer options...some types of music seem muffled and it'd be great if all the equalizer options weren't preprogrammed. This seems to the case even when the bass boost is turned off. Even so, we would purchase it again. We bought this in store and it is big! Much better sound than similarly priced models.

So far i like this stereo system. It synced up to my iphone 5 and ipad air 2 fine over bluetooth without adding the suggested app. Sound is nice. Of course I am upgrading from some cheap portable speakers. The only weird thing so far is the preset equalizer. It is a "Latin Equalizer"so all the choices when you press the button are realted to latin music, like, samba, tango, reggaeton, etc... Which is kind of weird since nothing suggested this was a hispanic radio.

I was familiar with this stereo system already because I had the smaller 230 watt version already, so why not upgrade and get a lot more power for a few bucks. Whatever your musical tastes are there is a sound option for it! Extra bass, punk, rock, techno, reggae, salsa, jazz, etc. It's all there I haven't got the chance to use the USB recording feature yet but that's what initially drew me in to the product. I like to have options & cross compatibility. Only 1 disc for the CD player but when you have a playlist set up on your phone it's not a biggie. Easy to use remote & features, Bluetooth syncs quick. The sound kicks, with options on top of options for the type you want. It has an aux cord for those who may not know (not a techie) or want to use the Bluetooth feature on their phones. 2 USB ports. I have not connected this with my TV yet either but yet, just another option to utilize. I have mine set on a cd stand with the sub woofer on the floor next to it, in my bedroom. Yes I like the party feel before I even get there. I love feeling the vibrations on the floor & throughout the room & it's only on a low setting. You don't even have to go to the max of 40 to fully enjoy this system, you would be very good at 20-25, trust me. I usually listen at a 15. Did I mention the price? Was not on sale but you can't beat all the features & sound quality. This is coming from a former Sony & JVC fan from the 90's but where are those brands now when it comes to stereo systems.

Easy Bluetooth function and great sound quality through radio and CD. Was also able to hook up TV to spare AUX port. If looking for good quality two speaker "stereo" (particularly for music) this unit does great at supply those needs without breaking the bank buying component systems. If you're an audiophile or wanting more TV entertainment integration then I'd recommend something else. For $200 this was a steal and performs great.
