I only use this system for the Bluetooth and the RCA port, so I can't speak to the quality of the CD player or radio reception, but the Bluetooth connects easily to my Samsung phone. It connects within seconds and has a decent range. I have an Audio Technica LP-60 turntable connected via RCA port and it sounds great and the set-up was easy. This isn't the most high-end system you can buy, but the sound is clear, performance is consistent, and you can't beat the price, especially if you can grab an open-box unit.

Worked for 17 days! Could not return to Best Buy-----2 days too late ; not happy about that ! Now LG has had it in for repair longer than I have owned it. No idea regarding its status.Can only assume there are a lot of LG products in need of repair !

Initially when I hooked this stereo up I wasn't all that impressed. After spending a little time with it and listening to a variety of music I have grown to appreciate it more. The sound is pretty good and bass is not bad for the size of the speaker. It has good volume and the Bluetooth was super easy as was hooking up the system out of the box. I picked this up as an open box item for quite a bit less than the list price so I'm happy. But overall if you're looking for an inexpensive bookshelf stereo system I would say you can't go wrong with this one

This shelf system has is all. Great loud sound, connectivity. I'm using it with my turntable and it is a awesome pair. Build in CD player. The only one thing I would change is the base. Even with subwoofer it could be better. Highly recommended. The best system in its price range.

The sound is awesome; Bluetooth can be turned on straight from my phone without turning the system on first, which is super convenient. I have pushed the sound to the max and it didn't shut off or deteriorate. Looks great as well. Great buy. Highly recommend

Really like this product. Sounds great. I was able to add my other speakers by twisting the wires for the speakers I had and the speakers that came with it together. So I have a surround sound type.

Just brought this today hooked it up, sound quality is awesome bass is good, it's so good my neighbor came over and asked me to turn it down I recommend this product for the price, it won't let you down

Our 40-year-old stereo system finally died. We plan on purchasing a whole house system in the future, but in the meantime, I wanted something to use in my piano room that wasn't expensive but good quality. I read all the reviews and decided to go with this system. It was a smart move. I placed the system underneath my baby grand piano so I can easily play along with CDs by remote. The quality is excellent all around and could easily fill more than one room or even a floor of a home with quality sound. We're considering purchasing more units for other rooms, in lieu of the whole house system, and my guess is that we'll just skip that whole-house system. Viva Christo Rey!

This LG CM4550 is near audiophile quality and I don't know how LG did it. It's powerful with deep sound and clarity, and I cannot believe I got it for $145.00 (open box). Buy it and crank up any Poncho Sanchez CD and you would be in bliss. My fawning review is no where close to the reality of my experience with this excellent product.

Amazing mids and highs, the lows are a bit shallow for my likes, but do kick in at higher volumes. The price blows away any other options out of the water. Side note my Best Buy had the set for $20 cheaper than all other retailers in my area and any online retailer.

Had this about 6 months now. No complaints, pretty decent sound. If you're looking for an all in one this will do fine.

Excellent sound with bass, commercial store quality, even at a low volume. It is not space compact, so I had to clear some space. Convenient remote to mute when needed.

Well the pros of this LG 700 watt system are: Great sounding system in all ranges, lows, mids and highs. Obviously the added 7" sub helps dramatically improve the fullness and low frequency sounds. The 6.5" speakers are crystal clear and the tweeters produce a nice crisp high. And I've turned the volume on this system up to 31. And it is clear as can be for being a shelf system. And the volume goes up to 40. Although I'm not gonna push it to the max of 40. I'd say 35-36 would be suffice if you really want to push the envelope. Flash drive recording is super nice. A great feature. FM stations come in clear without any static. The CONS: Main unit seems cheaply built/put together. It is too darn light and feels like it has nothing to it. I'm not a big fan of that. I mean if you push the power button or any button for that matter, the main unit will slide/move on you. My old Panasonic was well built. This as mentioned beforehand is cheaply built. The CD player is cheap. If you put a disc in and want to skip a track, the cd player makes some sort of grinding sound, like the laser or something mechanical and plastic is just not functioning the way it should. Generic cheap quality cd player from LG on this system. It's really a 50/50 thing with the cd player. Sometimes when skipping a track it'll work fine. Other times when you want to skip a track it makes that horrible sounding noise. That is very, very frustrating. The remote sensor activity is somewhat random too. It'll work good some days and other days it works like a bum. So LG has a few things to improve upon with their upcoming shelf systems. LG should SERIOUSLY consider building better products for weight and quality.

This is a wonderful, modern-looking, music system. For me, I wouldn't use the word "mini" because for a shelf-unit it is really big!! It plays very, very well, clear, loud or soft, it is excellent.......except it cuts off the first and last few seconds (like 10) seconds) of my CDs. Am I doing something wrong? If the set is defective, I hope that one of the LG employees sees this and tells me how to make it work right. Maybe the CD part is defective? I can not return it. I no longer have the HUGE box it came in.. and after considerable energy expended setting it up, I simply would not even consider returning it!!!! I am an 80 year old woman, living alone. I love music, even the first and last seconds of it!!!
