From the moment I unboxed the LG UltraGear 45" OLED Curved Gaming Monitor, I knew I was in for a treat. The sleek black design immediately caught my eye, but it's what's under the hood that truly amazed me. Upgraded from IPS version of 34 inch Alienware model. Not as bright as some of the competitors but plenty for me. Also DPI a little lower than previous unit. But the motion quality and colors are the best I have seen for gaming. Extreme curve makes it less than ideal for productivity. Unit was not cheap. Requires included remote to access all features.

Best monitor I have ever used for gaming. Colors and HDR are amazing. It took me about two weeks to fully get used to the size coming from a 27” monitor. I purchased this monitor and the 27” version to compare and see what I wanted to keep. Ended up keeping this monitor, it’s an experience to say the least.

I got this for gaming and it’s incredible for that. As a normal monitor it’s not close to many other monitors due to its PPI. Videos and images look incredible but text can be blurry (it does get a lot better if you adjust windows HDR and ClearType settings, though)

I love it. Great for work and PC gaming. Wouldn’t recommend for consoles, but when playing games on 16:9 without ultra wide support, the black bars are unnoticeable.

Upgrading from a Samsung LC27T55 (1080p / 75Hz) to the LG UltraGear 45” OLED 240Hz has been a massive leap. The move to 3440×1440 ultrawide instantly made everything sharper and more immersive. The 45” curve pulls you into games, and the OLED panel is the real game-changer. Going from 75Hz to 240Hz is night and day. Motion is buttery smooth, response time is practically instant, and with FreeSync and G-Sync compatibility, gameplay is flawless. It’s a premium monitor, but coming from 1080p, this feels like stepping into an entirely different tier of performance and visual quality.

I've had this for over a year so I now feel comfortable leaving a review. The quality of this monitor is amazing. It is a bit pricey but you definitely get what you pay for. I use it for work, school, PC gaming and console gaming and watching movies. I haven't had any issues. Spoke so highly of it that I managed to convincenone of my good friends to get a 35 inch and he absolutely loves it. I will definitely be purchasing a second one to complete my gaming desk setup. If you're considering this monitor, just go ahead and pull the trigger. You won't regret it! (I'll come back and add pictures when I can!)

Love the size and brightness, however using for normal PC use it only keeps the main page bright, the other tabs has a lower brightness. I am having difficult time keeping the speaker working, it may be due to extra speakers which I am going to have it checked by a professional. A little pricey!

Best monitor I have ever owned. The PPI is not an issue at all, in fact it's not even noticeable - that was my only hesitation. There is not another monitor on the market that even comes close, including the 34" Alienware OLED. I've owned both and the Alienware had severe burn in less than 1 year into owning it. I've owned 3x LG OLED TVs, and I've never had any burn in issues. LG's panels are miles ahead of Samsung's when it comes to their OLED tech. Highly recommend purchasing this monitor through Best Buy with their total tech membership for an incredible warranty and peace of mind.

I love the size of this monitor. Games are very immersive. Movies/shows are very nice as well. Colors look good after some display calibration. I am aware of the technology limitations which is brightness weakness; causing white colors to look yellow. Thats pretty much my only gripe with these OLED screens. Daytime scenes on my mini LED display look phenomenal in comparison.

This is the best monitor you can buy if you are planning to play games on it and have a capable GPU. Keep in mind that you should ideally be looking at the monitor from at least two feet to be within the 800R, otherwise you are too close. This is a monitor for a deep desk. It is 45 inches, sitting too close is the same as the kid who sits in front of the TV. Performance on this monitor is spectacular. HDR games look amazing. Even SDR looks stunning. Clean uniform colors. The matte finish is perfect for a monitor this large. If you are looking at something with an AR of 16:9, the black sides look absolutely black, no reflections at all. If it were glossy, you'd see distorted reflections. The stand is sturdy, functional, elegant and quite attractive. I have a sound bar suspended on top of the legs with blocks that I dressed to match the sound bar and it looks great.

For me this monitor is amazing I like to have a oled monitor with all this new specs like 0.003 respond time 240hz and amazing colors and contrast. Has hdmi 2.1 so if I want I can connect my ps5/SX and at 999$ Black Friday deals I’m not going to complain.

Coming from an LG C1 48 to this monitor is such a nice change, I really love the 240 HZ refresh rate and the size is perfect! LG really hit a home run with this monitor! The resolution is crisp and in a perfect spot for performance/quality.

These screens are absolutely gorgeous. Coming from a 34 ultra wide this screen is gigantic and the curve is much more noticeable. My only concern is having to be directly in front of the screens to see everything and when you have two or more curve is even more extreme. I’m considering getting a 3rd eventually to complete my sim rig. Also keep in mind refresh rate limitations if you go down the same road as me with two or more of these connected to a computer. 2 screens at 240hz is doable on a 40 series but when I introduce a 4k 55” 120hz oled tv into the mix the gpu only wants to fires up two screens at a time.

Huge OLED monitor at 240hz. It’s as good as you think it is. Maybe even better. There’s no cross shopping, this is the one to get. Double check your white balance and lower the brightness for best experience.

I bought this screen for my work (programming) because of the great refresh rate and overall quality and my eyes thank me every single day.

It really hurt my wallet, but it feels so good on my eyeballs. The picture quality is fantastic for gaming and consuming media. It truly elevates my gaming experience. In RTS and FPS games the screen size may slighly hinder my performance because it is too large and it out ranges my peripheral vision. Still, the experience is so much more enjoyable, I must recommend it. My only niggles are from what I presume to be inherent qualities of OLED technology. The screen is dim. The screen has weird artifacting on what should be solid textureless elements. The nonstandard LED pattern makes text slightly blurry around the edges (until windows supports it). The LEDs are visible to my keen eye when close to the screen. Still, I deal with text for 10-12 hours a day and it has not given me any more or less eye strain.

Hands down, best monitor on the market today. Even if you're not a gamer, the screen is amazing, and totally immersive. Would reccomend for everyone, including non-gamers. Shes a beauty.

I tested the Samsung G9 Odyssey OLED G95SC curved monitor and I felt something was off. The screen was too wide. I decided to return it and test the LG 45 Ultragear I was skeptical because the Samsung was a 49" and the LG 45. I was wrong the LG ultragear 45 compared to the Samsung oddysey feels bigger and gives you a more immersive feel wheh gaming. On my personal opinion for gaming the LG monitor is 5 times better than the Samsung. It feels more responsive. When it comes to productivity and text. The LG it is not great. Text looks very sharp and sometimes blurry. For gaming this thing is awesome way better than the Odyssey G9 OLED

Never knew I needed such a big monitor till I gamed on it. I suggest getting the calibration settings they have on the internet and running HDR all the time, it is the best I've used so far.
