You must push buttons extremely hard and generally they don't do anything. Button for silencing ring usually doesn't work. Not worth the money.

Possibly a defective seal, this one is getting exchanged. Overall Life Proof makes grea cases. I’ve had them for a number of my iPhones without an issue. So I’m certain this was a fluke. I still recommend it.
