Gotta love Lifx led strips! Overall quality is nice. The lights are bright and the color options are amazing! You get a lot of flexibility with your lighting choices because each led strip partitioned into zones. This allows you to have multiple colors activated simultaneously. It's a trade-off because you cannot cut these strips like other brands. Once you cut it, that is it. You cannot add your own wiring to extend them in any way. The system is linear so you can only connect them sequentially and have more than a 3-foot extension between light strips. Becuase of this, I have lights inside of my cabinets to cover both sides of my stove. Not an ideal installation but it looks good and works well.

I personally used this light strip to backlight my desk to provide sufficient light behind my monitor while working from home to avoid eye strain. It also makes my desk look incredibly awesome, which a is a meaningless metric, but I felt the need to mention it. I have other LIFX lights in the same room and being able to control them all together, sync them up, and basically theme my room with the touch of a button is incredible. The set up is incredibly easy, and the lack of a hub is life-changing. All you need to do is plug this in and open the app. The rest takes care of itself. I would recommend to a friend if this is your first LIFX purchase, but I would highly recommend to anyone that already has LIFX products. It is amazing.

I have LIfX bulbs in every room in my house and I love them. They're brighter than Philips Hue, and the app is easier to use. (I actually bought both hue & lifx and returned hue).

We used 24 BR30s and two LIFX z strip power supplies with 4 strips to light our second store location. Set up was fairly quick and easy. The results have given us the wow-factor that we hoped we would receive from our customers. Only negative for the whole LIFX system is that there does not appear to be a z connector, as it is always out of stock on the LIFX website.

I purchased these lights for my new apartment and was super excited for them. After over 14 hours of trying to get it to connect and asking best buy and LIFX for help, I decided that it is hopeless trying to get the lights to work. Sucks that I paid 100$ in store for nothing.
