Fastest dual band router available on the market. Has best range that I have tested on 2.4 and 5 GHz channels. Combined it with my new modem receive 360 MB download. On wifi and around 250 mb from 50 feet away.

Had bought cheap ones before and never really last. This router is very fast compared to my 2 year old unit and the range is excellent. WiFi all over house, outside and even at neighbors!

This purchase is my second router for the new home we just moved into. I have tried others , but always buy Linksys for their dependability. This router is so far the best one I have ever purchased. It works so well I can walk down a block or two and still be connected! The software is easy to set up, I use the advanced setup, but the security is great either way. I also like the USB port for storage. I have another exact same router I had at my previous home, it worked so well, I bought this one. I use the other one in my auto shop! I have 4 kids, phones, Xbox, TV's and Kindles all hook up with no dragging down the system. Just a great router!

I recently bought this due to another brand crashing out on me in less than 6 months. This product works better than the competitor ever did. Easy setup and very reliable.

      Hi, Ubergeek,

The router is expected to provide a stable connection once configured. If you still have it, email us at [email protected] with your phone number and the link to this post so that our Escalation Engineers can help you in isolating this.

Great router if you use multiple devices

My three year old router was starting to get a little slow, especially when multiple devices were streaming at the same time. The Linksys router easily handles multiple devices, and has far more speed than my current 100 GB cable service. Speedtest app has me up to 120 GB, and my iMac wifi indicates the router can handle 1,300 GB. If you press the Option button then left click your mouse above the wireless sign on top of your iMac, you can see the speed of your current router. Setup was very simple. My old router was an Airport Extreme which is known for easy setup, the Linksys wasn't much more difficult, but has was more advanced features if someone wants to use them. It's been about a month now, but I believe it was up and running in about 10 minutes. I went further and named all my active devices on the software, which allows me to monitor what is being used. I like that I can prioritize up to 3 devices, so they get internet when the Comcast line is bottled up in my neighborhood (far too often lately). It also has an app to control the router from your phone (I assume also a tablet). I haven't set this up yet, but I plan to and it seems like a useful feature. One thing that surprised me initially is that even though it has both 2.4 and 5 Ghz signals, it only uses one connection. With my old router, I set up some devices to use 2.4 Ghz (usually the older ones), and others to the 5 Ghz. I did this to spread the devices between the signals. With the Linksys, everything goes to one router name, then the router divides the signal to optimize usage, another cool feature. One slight negative is how the "Guest network" is accessed. I have to enter a password to allow a Guest, rather than setting it up on the Guest device. I suppose this is more secure, but a little more hassle. Oh well, don't really use the Guest network very often anyway. It cost a little more than a lot of other decent routers (like AC 1900), but I know going forward I have enough bandwidth and speed to last several years. I think it is worth it, especially since I got it on sale at Best Buy. The sale price was about the same price as AC2600 routers from other manufacturers, so this was a great value in my opinion.

This router covers our whole house without a glitch. Wireless signal is outstanding. You can set the router to manually administer both 2.4 and 5g wireless networks or let the router manage it. I tried both and depending on your activity it’s a plus. The response time is excellent. Streaming movies is outstanding. Not to mention the 1g ethernet ports. Makes for working from home a breeze. Highly recommended this router. 2600 sq home

I really don't know what to say about a router. It does well. I definitely have better range within my house. My house is 2500 sf with two floors and a basement. My old router wouldn't reach the edges since the router is in a corner of the house. This one reaches the whole house. The router also has easy to set network and parental control features. You can use the router to individually shut down device access to the network. The router is able to handle three TV's, an Xbox, three Kindle fires, three phones, three Google home minis, a desktop, and a surface. With a household of five people it does quite well.

I bought this router because my old one did not support what my internet provider was providing. Let's just say this bad boy definitely keeps up. The distance is unbelievable and I can get coverage all the way out to my car which isn't exactly right outside my place. It does get hot so I would recommend keeping it in a cool place or have some sort of breeze where it's at. I used a fan and even put it by a window so the cross breeze could hit it and it worked perfectly both ways. Best purchase yet

Pain to set up (over course) once operational simple to maintain. I have wifi for ever like 3 city blocks away and it still shows up. It can determine which device needs more data and sends it directly simultaneously with all connected devices. Dual band comes in hand for a smart home. Also several ports to physically plug into. The cloud option, turning any ordinary external hard drive into a personal cloud accessible throughout the globe with an internet connection is the cherry on top. Does tend to run a little hot but Amazon has fans that are USB powered and fit perfectly on top of the vents.

This router was easy to setup and worked well. However, professional reviews say it delivers superior coverage, but for me, it was inadequate and far less than the coverage provided by the Apple Airport Extreme that it replaced. I ended up returning this device and replacing it with a much more expensive Linksys Vellop Mesh Router System. Please note; Linksys tech support is offshore and not very helpful. They appear to be a call center with no in-house expertise. Thier techs knowledge is limited to the scripts they read.
