It even works with some of my very old tablets that didn't work well with my last router (which was a $200 Netgear Nighthawk 1900). Upgraded software on last router and it bricked it useless. So far this one is going strong, but works a little bit differently than past routers.

There are frequent periods when the 5G isn't broadcasting, requiring a restart of the router. The lower speed band does not have good range, but has less frequent outages.

This is a very unusual behavior for the Linksys router. You can try to update the firmware, then reset and configure the router again to try and fix this. worked great..follow steps in ORDER

Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This worked great ...BUT you have to follow the directions in order...i stepped away and my son either skipped a step or did them out of order...you then have to reboot it all and start over...its not hard..just follow the steps in order...and then it works great.
