It even works with some of my very old tablets that didn't work well with my last router (which was a $200 Netgear Nighthawk 1900). Upgraded software on last router and it bricked it useless. So far this one is going strong, but works a little bit differently than past routers.

There are frequent periods when the 5G isn't broadcasting, requiring a restart of the router. The lower speed band does not have good range, but has less frequent outages.

This is a very unusual behavior for the Linksys router. You can try to update the firmware, then reset and configure the router again to try and fix this.
