Great Low-End Router

If you're looking for a plug-n-play solution that requires no set-up and no moderate to advanced features, then you'll probably be happy with this router. If you're looking for a router to which you can program static routes, add a VPN, or any of the dozens of other features available in open-source DD-WRT, then skip this router. Re-flashing with DD-WRT isn't really an option as the mfgr botched up the firmware with safeguards that will cause you to brick it when re-flashing. If you're looking for a router with advanced features, consider the nighthawk series from netgear instead.

I first picked a Netgear and could not install it and called their customer service and they could not get it to work and blamed the internet. I got the Linksys and it was a breeze to get online and works great!!!

After eating crow, I took this home and followed the idiot proof set up instructions. Try to hide from GS guy when I go back to store but to no avail. Glad he steered me correctly. Excellent router and would recommend it.

While no router I researched seems "perfect", this seems to have a lot of the features I was looking for, like VPN access, even VLAN configurability. I haven't fully delved into all its capabilities, but, after about a month, I haven't had any problems.

One on each floor. 1 in router mode and 2 in wired bridge mode. I purchased this to replace a failed 1900. I plan to replace them with a mesh system when the prices come down.

A couple of steps that they probably thought were obvious weren't to me. Once it place it works as promised

You wont be disappointed.
