This remote was recommended by Best Buy when we hired them to set up our media room. I would say it hasn't worked the best. Part of the problem is probably when it was set up we had no training so now it doesn't connect with some of the media room components so we basically have to use the remote that came with the product or get up and push the needed button. I think we paid $350 for this remote which was crazy but my husband had to have it and now he just complains about it.

Really simple remote works with just about everything.

Tends to fall out of sync with devices and the initial setup was weird... you can only do programming through your smartphone or iPad. Had to call support for assistance.

I do not have cell service in my area and the computer connection does not update the device list. It would be far better to be able to retrieve the device profiles from a menu function from a CD and USB connection.

You ain't gonna find a better remote out there. I could kinda see how if someone isn't tech savy, having a difficult time with it. But wether you program it through the phone or a laptop you can customize and tweak it to the hilt to control whatever you need. It's really not that difficult. I love this remote.

Love Harmony though this particular remote not my favorite. But it works brilliantly - just not so happy about the keypad layout

I have always loved harmony remotes, I decided to upgrade to a better model. The remote was very easy to pair and setup, that was the only thing I liked about this remote. I ended up being very disappointed with this purchase. The remote was not very user friendly, the fast forward and reverse buttons were above the touch screen, so you would end up changing the channel or doing other things. The volume never worked right, and neither did the phone app.

Easy setup, everything works. Yep, we like it a lot.

I love this product. It controls everything in my house. I purchased this remote solution for my entertainment center, but learned that it could control much more. I also had to call technical support for a small usability question. It was easy to get in touch with technical support and they were able to answer my question.

Using it for our home theater. Easy to program. The RF signal does not require a line of sight. Would prefer a numeric keypad but still a good unit overall.

I love this remote; it replaced my Harmony 900. Touchscreen works much, much better. My only caveat is the integration with my Smartthings Hub. Switching lights is rather hit or miss.

this si a good remote but does not have voice response until you pair it to alexa or google. We do not have alexa in media room so the advertisement is misleading

Not very useful for watching DVR. Buttons placement is odd and it is too shallow. The remote is hard to hold when top buttons are being used. Good concept but I have not been able to use it fully since I have to still use my Dish remote for watching DVR programming. Works well for turning on multiple devices.

So I have the original harmony 5000, which I bought because it just looked so cool. Unfortunately, the issues with the 5000, are the same issues I have with this remote. The whole activity concept to me is a pain in the butt. It usually doesn't work, and it is far too cumbersome and tedious to be effective. Honestly, so far the best option I recommend is using devices that have apps, and then buying an ipad mini to be your remote, utilizing the apps for the devices. That being said, the reason I tried this one out is because my PJ doesn't have an app.
