Great Remote
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The remote works very well with the PS4 and PS3. You just have to pair it in the Bluetooth settings of the game system. I am so happy I don’t have to use the controllers anymore to watch Blu Rays on my PlayStations. I haven’t had any issues with this remote. All my devices turn on and off, almost immediately when I press the button. I currently have the devices behind glass and cabinets. I like the fact that you can use your phone as a remote also, but I probably wont use that feature. I find the actual Harmony Remote was more responsive.

Returning it to Best Buy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Half-baked software release with too many bugs. Setup on mobile device only is a huge mistake. It's got so many bugs and things that just don't make sense. For example, how the heck is someone supposed to change the temp on their Nest with the current touch interface; it's just horrible. How about a simple + and - button on the Next area to go up and down vs the horrible sliding gesture that can't be controlled at all, if anyone has a Nest please try it out, it's just wrong, wrong, wrong. Also, the remote tells me when the nest is in auto away and asks me if I want to change that (good idea) yet when I tell it to do so it will not do it. I am a current owner of 2 Harmony 900's and the form factor of the ultimate is just horrible. Can't get used to how it feels in my hand and as many people have stated the transport buttons above the screen are frustrating to the point of being useless - constantly shifting the remote in your hand to reach or using 2 hands is not an option. I have wanted to purchase an ultimate for about a year and with the Best Buy coupon deal and the new features it was finally time to pull the trigger since I had an old 890 not in use that was broken I could use for the the deal. However, I boxed this awful attempt at a remote up last night and will be returning it today. There are so many things wrong with this design it just can't be tolerated. If you already have a working Harmony 900, don't be tricked into think this is a better remote, it is not. It's got some great ideas but the software and physical form factor of the remote needs a lot of work. If Logitech were to release a remote that is physically closer in design to the 900 under the living home brand, I could see giving it another shot, but I don't think that's going to happen anytime soon.

Great remote
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was time to update my harmony One, I would have got regular harmony but then i saw the BB trade in of $100 for old harmony remote, so it was easy decision, there are two major differences between ultimate and home remote. Home remote can also control some home WIFI devices like NEST thermostat, Lutron light controls., The programing is done on IOS or android device, it is very easy but most people will not like it as they are not used to it, i signed up for beta program at logitech website and downloaded the Mac version of software to use Mac to program the remote, it worked like old times. I do not have to point remote at devices, hub is repeater for IR Codes TV is wall mounted and every device works flawlessly with HUB repeater. On remote once you get used to the touch screen you will feel fine, there is a learning curve though, the screen is get locked to avoid unwanted swipe. The iOS APP works very well, if you use an activity from Remote and pick up IOS device to use, it will know which activity you are on. if you have old remote you can import all your programming it is very simple just login to your account and sync remote, you are done. The trade in value of $100 bring the price to a reasonable amount. my harmony one is still working in the setup in basement and other harmony one for Bedroom TV setup. 5+ year and going strong, not to worry about pointing remote is great with harmony ultimate home. One can not add another remote to harmony home hub, i tried and it did not work. it is not working at this time, it might be added later, i was told by logitech.

This is a great remote!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have had several Harmony remotes and this by far is the best one we have owned! I have read that the set-up was difficult, but I found it to be extremely easy! We were able to import all of our components from our old Harmony remote into the new one. Super easy and didnt have to do anything on those components. We did have to add in our Sonos system, but the old remote did not have that feature. I love that we have the option to use our iPhones or the remote. I think the best part is the ease of "favorites". All I have to do is tap the channel I want to go to and it takes me there! Love this remote!

GREAT REMOTE!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best remote to land in my hands yet. Very easy to setup but you do need to know a bit about your HDMI inputs. You need a laptop to load the Logitech software, and a iPhone or Android for the app too. But once setup is done it's awesome!

simple to set up, easy to use
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased to replace a Philips Pronto with more recent technology. I was surprised how easy it was to set this up for my somewhat complex wifi/home entertainment system. Easy to set up and easy to use for someone who isn't technical.

ok remote
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had a couple of problems with this remote since the Geek squad set it up. It stopped working completely after about a week of using it and I had to call back the geek squad to fix the problem. Right now it is working fine. Sometimes I think it's easier to deal with 4 remotes at a time.

This is a really great remote...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would give it 5 stars but I feel like the programming interface doesn't work 100%. It will have some hiccups occasionally. Also there is a newer version out that has a better button layout on the remote. Otherwise I think this is a great remote once you get it set up and have the IR blasters laid out correctly.

Logitech ROCKS!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the first product under the new hub format. I have had Logitech Harmony remotes for over 15 years. This was is great... BUT... Look at the button configuration? Why on earth would they put the play/pause, and all function buttons on the top part of the remote? you are constantly sliding your had up just to pause. Real annoying! Great product, bad form design!

Quit working after 18 months
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the most user hostile product I have ever purchased, EVER! Just when you sit down to watch your favorite show, the remote stops working & you have to sync the remote or install yet another firmware update. Sometimes this requires you to connect the remote to your computer which must be in the same room as the hub. This takes several minutes. After the updates, you will have to go through & rearrange all your screens the way you had them before which is a pain in the butt when all you wanted to do was sit down to relax & watch some TV. We purchased this from the Geek Squad when they installed our entertainment system and after only 18 months, our remote would only show the "Harmony" logo & would not go any further. When I called Logitech's customer support, they walked me through some troubleshooting & then told me that I would need to buy a new remote. Not over my dead body!!! If you like waste your money & you like lots of stress, than this is the product for you!

Great remote for entertainment system
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Enjoyed to easy set up of the remote, easier to set up than my first harmony remote. Like the feature to use your smart phone to control the automated systems in our home. At first when set up the remote to control the entertainment system, would not control the TV correctly. I used the delay feature to correctly change the inputs on the TV, great feature. The unit controls my components flawlessly. I still do not have my whole entertainment system installed, but can't wait to see how the functionality of the remote handles all my components.

Junk
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought two harmony remotes, one ultimate home and an ultimate. Both work intermitently and now one won't stay charge after 4 weeks of use. Absolute junk. Threw them away along with my Logitech keyboards. Going to another brand.

Everything you'll need in a remote
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I do love this remote. The only reason I gave it a 4 star is at setup it took a few times for the wifi to catch on. Had to replace the unit and problem solved. They also have really really good costumer service.

Do not buy. Poor hardware. Terrible Apps.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really wanted to like this device. It looks great and *appeared* to have the functionality I needed. I am now FOUR HOURS in to what should have been a 20 minute setup and it still doesn't work. I have 20+ years of experience working in consumer electronics and computer software. This has been my worst product experience in 15+ years. I will be returning this product tomorrow. So what went wrong? I started by trying to set the device up using the Android app. I use a Nexus 5 with a very standard version of Android. The hub would pair and then lose pairing. Repeatedly. On the few occasions I got past the pairing stage, it refused to connect to my wi-fi network. All of the settings were correct. I rebooted my router 15 times in an effort to get the Harmony to connect. It connected once, just long enough to tell me it couldn't find several of my devices, and then the hub lost pairing. Since then I've been unable to get the system to connect to wi-fi. I looked at downloading the iOS app, but the reviews were even worse than the android app. I tried using the Mac app. It's been running for 40 minutes and still claims to be updating Devices and Activities. I've been a satisfied owner of previous Harmony models. This product is dreadful. Two minutes of googling will reveal that a great many people are having similar problems. If they make it actually work, it would be great. Sadly, at present it is useless.

Works Sometimes
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted to love this remote. I mostly purchased it so I could use Alexa to control things. When it works, it is great, but it only seems to work about half of the time. I have spent hours configuring and reconfiguring settings. I can't seem to figure out why sometimes it just will not control my devices. It does work most of the time with my LG TV but does not work at all with my Samsung, even though it is on the list of compatible devices. The setup process also seems a bit cumbersome. I think this remote needs some work.
