Essential for multi-device multitaskers!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With the press of a button, you can switch devices? Not only that but it's a relatively quiet keyboard with strong key presses and a number pad. It seems like the market forgets about numpads when they make mobile/hybrid keyboards, but Logitech kept it here! The board is still small for having the full numpad. Lightweight and at a good angle.

Stylish, Compact, Wireless Keyboard
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Logitech K585 is a very compact, wireless keyboard with several nice features, including a built in phone holder. It is however missing a few features I would prefer to see in my keyboards. In the box: - Keyboard - 2x AAA Batteries - Manual - USB Wireless Adapter (Also can use Bluetooth) Setup: You can use this keyboard via the wireless adapter or via Bluetooth. Unless I have issues with connectivity, I prefer Bluetooth given this leaves more ports available to use on the computer I am connecting to. This keyboard allows for two separate devices to connect which the quick connect buttons located in light Gray at the top. After selecting which button you want to pair the device to it’s as simple as going into your Bluetooth settings and pairing a new device. The computer may ask you to input a PIN on the keyboard and you are ready to go! I really enjoy the hotkeys for quick switching between devices. Usage: After having used both “mechanical” and slim, wireless keyboards like this, I have found I much prefer low profile keyboards similar to that of laptops. This comes down to personal preference but the low profile design makes typing much easier for me given you don’t have to lift your fingers far off the keys. The noise level from this keyboard is very quiet and similar to what you will find with laptops. The one biggest downfall I have found with this keyboard is the lack of backlight. I thought this was going to be worse than it actually is but I would still consider it a drawback. I also find the arrow keys a little smaller than I would like but this is simply due to the form factor being so compact. Outside of this, most other keys are large enough for daily use at a desk or on the go. Key travel is to be expected from this type of low profile, keyboard. Coming from a mechanical keyboard that had more travel in the keys, I prefer this “throw” if you will. It does not have any adjustability with feet on the backside so the keyboard is essentially fixed in place once set on a desk. Another small downside. Pros: - Appearance/Design - Programmable Hotkeys with several functions (volume, window, device switching, etc.) - Key texture, spacing (considering the size) - Full, compact design (number pad) - Bluetooth enabled - Lightweight - Phone Holder (Sort of works) - Physical On/Off switch Cons: - No tilt adjustment - Not Rechargeable (2x AAA) - No backlighting Given the price point, it is acceptable that this keyboard has the features that it does and omits a few others. I have thoroughly enjoyed using this keyboard and would recommend it to anyone searching for a compact, slim, wireless keyboard that works with several devices. The phone holder is a nice touch but I have used it mostly as a pen holder.

Don’t buy it!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The keyboard isn’t the most user friendly. Setup was not as easy as it should have been. Requires intrusive software to be downloaded. After a hour of setup and trying to get it to work with Bluetooth I switched to the wireless option. It worked for a month. Now it will not connect with wireless or Bluetooth. I tried replacing the batteries but no luck.

Quiet and Comfortable Keyboard!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Logitech K585 is a space-saving, quiet, and comfortable keyboard. I have been using this keyboard for a few days now and in this review, I will cover my thoughts on this keyboard and whether I would recommend it. First, I would like to cover the keyboard’s design. I did enjoy the low profile and how quiet the keys were for typing. This keyboard is comfortable and the layout of the keys is something similar to what you would see on a laptop. I am in the IT industry and am usually on a computer for some time so having something that is both comfortable and quiet has certainly been a relief during the evening. There is a slot on the top which is supposed to be for your device but unfortunately, it falls short of that function. The slot is too thin for large phones with heavy-duty cases. Without the case, my device does fit into the slot. But, taking the phone case off every time I want to place my phone into the slot, isn’t too feasible, as a result, I likely won’t be placing my device there. On the other hand, the slot does fit pens, pencils, USB drives, or USB cables if needed. Logitech offers two ways to connect to the keyboard. The first way is through the USB receiver. The second is through Bluetooth. Two devices can be connected at the same time if needed too. I do like how seamless switching from devices can be with the gray function keys located on the top row. Another feature this keyboard has to offer is a long battery life. This keyboard doesn’t have a rechargeable battery but rather uses two triple-A batteries. Logitech states 24 months of battery life which I’ll have to take their word for since testing would take a while, to say the least. Anyways, the batteries do come included if you’re wondering. Programmable function keys are also available through Logitech’s “Logi Options+” software. Overall, this is a wonderful keyboard. The keyboard has a long battery life, is comfortable, and is quiet. An excellent choice for someone who works from home or is on a PC for a significant amount of time throughout the day. The only con with this keyboard was the phone slot. It won’t fit large phones with bulky cases but if your phone isn’t too large or you don’t use a phone case, the slot should be able to fit your device. There is also no backlight if you are looking for that. Ultimately, if you need an inexpensive keyboard that is both quiet and comfortable, I wholeheartedly recommend you try this one out.

Very Good Keyboard
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a very nice compact keyboard, especially if you are used to laptop keyboards. I'm more used to full sized keyboards. When I tried to use this in my office as a replacement for my full sized, mechanical keyboard, I wasn't very happy with it. For drafting in AutoCAD, many of the shortcuts I typically use were in different places that were more difficult to reach and sometimes I wasn't sure I was hitting the correct keys. I'm sure I could get used to it with time but it was initially uncomfortable to use. However, using this at home for more general use like emails and creating documents, I was actually very happy with it. The keys are very direct and have good action for a low profile keyboard. They are not very loud which is a bonus to me. I also really like the fact that I can connect it to 2 different computers without needing to move a dongle. I can just connect one PC to the dongle (or Bluetooth) and the other one via Bluetooth. There are buttons on the keyboard that allow me to switch between the two devices. So far, I've connected this keyboard to my Home Server (which I don't access often) and an iPad. There is a slot at the top of the keyboard that can be used to hold an iPhone vertically or horizontally. For this it works well. However, when I put my iPad in it and use it on a table, the keyboard will tip over. I can, however, use it on my lap without much issue. This would be the way I use it most of the time so I am OK with this. Finally, when I connected this to a Windows PC, Windows 11 noticed this keyboard was attached and recommended the Logitech app. I installed it. It quickly recognized the mouse and the keyboard and then gave me access to additional options. The software lets me program keys for different function, allows me to make the Function Keys useable without having to press the function button first, disable certain keys, (num lock, caps lock, scroll lock, etc) and update firmware. It is a simple interface that works very well. I believe this is an excellent keyboard for the price. It's probably a 5 star product for most people. If you have a small desk with limited space, this could be your keyboard. Same if you are used to laptop keyboards or if you would like to use a single keyboard with 2 devices. However, for me, it's more of a 4.5. I do wish I could use this with my iPad on a table. The iPad fits in the slot, but the keyboard is just too light to keep it from tipping over. I also prefer a full sized keyboard layout when working with CAD. So for that I'm not happy with this. However, for most people, I would say they should take a look. This could be perfect for you...

Tried and True
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Logi K585 keyboard has been pretty slick jumping between devices. The device tray is neat, but I don’t know how practical it would be for regular use as any device will sit in the tray and will not see the full screen. In portrait mode, this is way less of an issue, but maybe in landscape it could be more of one. It will fit the largest of smartphones on the market today no problem; check your case dimensions though. I am using a OnePlus 10T with a very slim Aramid Fiber case (0.6mm) and it has a little room to spare. If you are rocking anything bulky though the tray won’t be your friend. I could see a folding phone being beneficial, again if it wasn’t rocking a large case, to sit in the tray area. Or even running a Samsung phone in DEX mode and wirelessly casting to a screen could be a benefit. I couldn’t test this scenario out, but can definitely see the benefit. I did not try this keyboard with a phone as I have never found it very practical typing on a phone screen. I’ve seen others with collapsible keyboards, but that has not really been necessary for me. I did try running both connections of Bluetooth: 1=Samsung Tablet 2=ASUS laptop, I was able to pair the keyboard, but I could not get keyboard to type characters even though during the setup process I had to type in the BT Pairing Code that was displayed on my Screen. Using Win10 with latest updates. I switched to the USB Receiver option and immediately it found the receiver and Logi asked to install the keyboard software that allows you to check battery life and reprogram the hot keys. Overall the keyboard is great and the keys have nice tactile feedback and are very quiet. I like that it has an on/off switch too to conserve battery power. I will mostly use this with my tablet and leave it in my living room.

I Just Love It
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This keyboard is so easy to install and use, that I really don’t see any reason to not recommend it to everyone.I honestly feel like everyone in the household should have their very own keyboard. They aren’t that expensive and they just work so darned well. I guess I got way ahead of myself there, but I’m going to assume you already know which way I’m swaying when it comes to my feelings about this keyboard. But I am required to write at least a 1000 characters in this review. So I’m going to start with what’s in the box. Opening up the box, you’re greeted with the Logitech K585 keyboard. And that seems to be it, until you pop the top cap off and see that there's a dongle for your PC(That you may not even need) unless your Pc has bluetooth capabilities. And 2 pre-installed AA batteries. You are literally good to go. It’s slim and so very comfy to use. Heck! I’m typing my review with it right now. And it’s being typed on my smartphone screen. Yes. you can connect seamlessly to your smartphone, tablet or any bluetooth enabled screen with simple pairing. You’ve got two different profiles to use which can be switched between with a simple touch of a button. I used the dongle to connect to my PC and bluetooth connect to my phone and now I can move between the two to accomplish different tasks at the same time with the same keyboard. I don’t have a bad thing to say about this thing. It’s an awesome keyboard at a great price. I absolutely love it. I highly, highly recommend the Logitech K585 Wireless KeyBoard to everyone. Absolutely EveryoneIn Your And My Home.

Nice Kbd, Easy Setup
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a nice little keyboard, it was very easy to set up (Windows, Apple, Andriod & Linix). I would have given it 5 stars if the built in stand for phone and tablet was wider and had better support. It's not quite big enough to fit my iPad air with no case. And the wight of the tablet tips the kbd over (no issues with a smaller lighter phone. But with a tablet device you must move between kdb and touch tablet. Not a big deal for me as I plan to use it with a computer and raspberry Pi. But my first usage was trying multiple devices. The K585 keyboard is very thin, much thinner than anything Logitech has produced previously (I have 5 or 6 K830s which is still my favorite, but it does not support multiple devices, and is not a full size keyboard (so more of an apples to oranges comparison). Sitting on your lap it has minimal flex, and the keys move with little effort. The keyboard is not backlit. And you can pair it with either Bluetooth or the logitech USB RF adapter. I used to find BT was a little slower response, but since BT 5, I can't tell the difference. The unifying USB RF Adapter can be stored under the top of the keyboard (see photos). The keyboard uses 2 AAA alkaline batteries (included) they claim it will get 2 years of battery life. In using it as a Mac kbd I found some compatibility issues (fn key did work as expected, so using it with the Swift development environment is almost impossible). It is also difficult to get the upper cover back on correctly, it's made of a softer plastic, which makes aligning the little connector teeth more difficult than it should be, you must align all of the teeth at the same time to get it to reconnect, fortunatly I don't need to remove it often. For Windows and Linux use I found the keyboard a nice comfortable layout, can't say the same for Apple.

Another GREAT Logitech Keyboard
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have long been a fan of Logitech keyboards and mice. They are very high quality and the software Logitech offers creates a very customizable keyboard. The Logitech K585 Full-size Wireless Scissor Keyboard certainly didn't disappoint! One of Logitech's most beneficial features is the ability to have the keyboard paired via Bluetooth to multiple devices. This keyboard also comes with a USB receiver which is how I connect it to my Windows laptop. So, I have it paired with a MacBook, an iPad, and a Windows laptop. Very versatile! There are keys at the top for seamlessly switching between devices. Another aspect of the K585 full-size wires keyboard I found very impressive is the firm, yet quiet feel of the keys. In comparison to other keyboards from other manufacturers with keys that feel very "thin," The K585 has a confident feel and is enjoyable to use. The top part of the keyboard was not quite wide enough for me to fit either of my phones in but holds an electronic pencil (or any pen/pencil) in a very handy location.

Very user friendly and a multitasker
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Logitech K585 keyboard has been impressive so far for me and will list some of the things I like as well as some things I don’t. Things that are good? Well it is very light keyboard that feels sturdy and well made. First thing I noticed from the unboxing was how slim it is. Initially I spend a few minutes trying to figure out where or how to find the little usb dangle thingy that goes on the PC. Lol after looking at the insert page I was able to tell that the top cell phone holder can be pulled out and has access to the batteries (two small AAA) and the dongle. The dongle worked right away and found my PC in less than 10 seconds. As far as switching to my MacBook it is so easy as well using bluetooth and pressing FN and the O buttons once you set it up which is a see less easy process as well. I love how flexible this makes it to switch between the two and it’s about time some love was shown to Mac friendly devices so it’s great! The keys are completely silent pretty much so no loud clicking sounds when you press them Any negatives? Well the slim and light size of the keyboard can be a plus but it does sit low to the ground (desk) so if you are used to having little pegs like some have underneath to re position you will not with this one. This keyboard is designed with mobility in mind and will sit at a degree similar to almost flat on a desk. For me it is not an issue but worth mentioning. The keyboard doesn’t have any fancy lights so your friends will not sit mesmerizing about the changing light patterns lol. In all seriousness it’s a great keyboard!

Keyboard for your PC and Smartphone?
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Logitech wireless keyboard is a awesome low profile on the go keyboard that allows connectivity via either Bluetooth or the provided wireless USB receiver. The added slot to hold your smartphone while typing is a great feature which adds to the illusion of having a monitor. Out of the box you get everything you need to get you started, (batteries even included!). First thing i noticed was how incredibly paper thin the keyboard was. About roughly a 1/4" thick. This made me really wonder if my larger size hands were going to be able to comfortably type on this thing for work. At first go it did feel a little awkward and i did not like the initial feel of the key strokes, however after about 10 mins in to my daily routine the keyboard felt natural and as someone who can type about 60 words per minute, i never once struggled to find my position on the board. The low profile design also added to a more ergonomical position for my wrist. With the keyboard being so thin it allowed it to sit almost flush with the table giving my arms a straight and more natural position. After hours of typing my wrist still felt great and i was not needing to use any can of wrist support. Now a really cool feature that i liked about this keyboard is the smartphone holder which allows my smartphone to act almost like a monitor. While on the go there are times where i don't feel like pulling out my laptop to answer emails and yet at the same time i don't feel like using the clumsy keys on my smartphone to type out a long email. What's nice is i can simply open my emails up, place the phone on the holder and begin to type with ease. The Keyboard comes equipped also with two profiles so that you can switch between PC and Smartphone within a matter of seconds. The Bluetooth connectivity worked great and never once did i experience any lag or dropped connections. Every keystroke feels fluid and natural and gives the feel of being tethered by a wired connection still. There were no issues using the command keys as well when connected to PC. My only real complaint with this keyboard is there is no windows key and when it comes time to remove the tray to access the batteries putting the cover back can be a pain. Overall this is a great keyboard which offers versatility and comfort. The drain on your wrist is minimal and each key input is received as if you were wired in. Some things to keep in mind before buying this unit. There is no backlight or RGB, the keys are not mechanical. Other than that this is a great buy.

MX Keys Lite Version
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely love this keyboard. I bought for my work space as the foot print is smaller than my full sized MX keys. The typing experience is not as premium as the MX keys but it does not feel cheap. I enjoy having the notch and the ease of switching between my phone and work computer. The only thing I wished Logitech would add is premium version with backlight keys.
