Good overall keyboard case lacks angle adjustment

Logitech products have been part of my accesories since my first IBM PCXT. i still have my Logitech First Mouse and with a little cleaning it functions good as new. They keyboard on this unit is excellent. The keys are concave and spaced in a manner that it makes typing accurately easier and more comfortable to the hand and wrist. Shortcoming: no programmable shortcuts such as brightness adjustment (a biggie). Shortcoming: the expensive tablet (549-849 depending on what iteration you buy) is held in place by 6 tiny fasteners that just catch the edge of the bezel. with nothing supporting the bottom, therefore making it vulnerable to slide out and hit the pavement, along the top edge and upper half of the side edges. The bezel of the tablet DOES slip out of these tiny fasteners, which could damage or destroy the tablet. A more convetional 4 corner bracket system would be much more secure. My tablet HAS slid out of this case and the fit is not so good as to prevent that from hapening. Minor shortcoming: Glossy finish or the keyboard is prone to fingerprints and any other kind of mark and the gloss only accentuates this. A matte finish would have been preferrable. Does not perform as advertised: Case does not lock and unlock screen upon closing and opening, respectively. In fact, after closing it I invariably have to press the screen lock button to turn the screen off. What I REALLY like about it: First, as mentioned before, the typing experience is superb with just the right amount of travel and spring, and an excellent fingertip to key design. Battery life is superb. I have charged it 2-3 times and actually that was just so it would not go dead when I'd be in a place I could not charge it. It lasts for at least several weeks of 24 hours on (I forget to turn it off a lot) and has a good sleep algorithm that awakens the keyboard and connects it to the tablet almost instantly. Materials used seem very high quality (except the fasteners). THe flexible part of the case as well as the backside of the keyboard feels like Gortex or carbon fiber and it is strong and you can tell it will not stretch like the inexpensive PU "leather" keyboard cases. All ports and functions are accessiblle with the tablet in the case and if you set voice control to ON you can shoot from the hip photos just by saying "SHOOT." The case is stable when on a flat surface - no flexion in the keyboard and although the tablet can move slightly back and forth in the bottom channel of the keyboard, it is nowhere near the amount of slop the original Samsung model had which cost me a tablet because a bump to the keyboard corner was enough to send the tablet sailing down a flight of brick stairs. Alcohol was not involved. When this case is closed is looks like a folio where you would place a pad, pen, etc. That is a real plus because it does not scream "look at me; I am concealing a high end expensive tablet PC." At the same time the aesthetics are pleasing and it is not ugly. One of the best parts of the aesthetics and also functional aspects is the thinness of the case with the tablet inside. It makes it eashy to slip into a messenger bag, or a pocket in an attache. All in all, this was my 1st choice given the tradeoffs from one case to another. No case offers all the features I'd like but the Logitech PRO keyboard case is a sleek, ergonomic device that you can tell experienced engineers and designers developed. I am a very finicky buyer so if it pleases me, it will probably plese just about anybody. Hope this tome of a review helps some of you. Regards, DHM. p.s. a redesigned fastening system and a screen brightness control or programmable keys that would allow one to program a brightness control would change my review to a 5.

Very good keyboard with excellent tactile feel and fast. Good balance when tablet upright. Nice tight package with tablet....no larger than the outside dimensions and about doubles the thickness. Seems to be good materials and battery life is very long. You can use the keyboard remotely from the tablet which is handy when you want to have the tablet connected to a computer projector for presentations and run the program from the front of the audience. I like that you can use the tablet folded into the case in regular tablet mode too...you don't have to remove the tablet to use it without the keyboard in use. The keyboard has an on/off switch but it also will turn itself off after a period of non use so you save the battery if you forget to turn it off. Only negative...the battery is not user replaceable..at least in the field so when the service life of the battery is used up you will probably need to find a battery replacement that may not be off the shelf. The keyboard is charged with a standard micro USB charger at the normal 5 volts of most cell phones. Only thing missing...it would be great if it had back lit keys for use in dim lighting or at night (I am an astronomer). I have a ASUS tablet and a windows computer that both have USB ports that can have a plug in LED light to light the keyboard but that isn't possible here without a cobbled up setup (which I made but not very elegant).

I was skeptical at 1st because yet again the price was too high ($129.99) & most others are around half that price. The tablet CAN slip out if your walking around with it open but luckily mine hasn't yet. It has a very good charge though. in the 2 1/2months I've owned it I have never needed to charge it.

Great keyboard in a quality folio case

Well designed with quality materials and workmanship. The Logitech keyboard it of the typical high quality one associated with all Logitech keyboards. It is easy to use in a laptop-like position as well as in a flat tablet position by Z folding the folio case. The mounting system is straight forward and holds the tablet without marring the tablet cosmetics. However, when opening the folio one must take care not to push the tablet out of the clips holding the tablet in place. This is a function of the design of the case to allow for easy mounting and dismounting of the tablet. Remembering to open without pushing the tablet out of the mounting tabs takes only a bit of practice.

This keyboard is a nice size to work with. It virtually changes my pro tablet into a laptop for traveling. The on-screen keyboard is simply a waste of screen space. You NEED to have a keyboard like this if you want to be functional. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to closely mimic using a laptop on the road. Small, light, keeps a charge.

I like that it protects both sides of my Tab but sometimes when opening, the tab slips out & detaches from the magnets falling into my hands. I don't see it as any danger to the tab as it's always in my hand but it is annoying; not as much as the Samsung keyboard however, which I exchanged for the Logitech. The Samsung is a pain to remove and doesn't protect the back of the tab when not in use and the Bluetooth on/off switch is easier to access on the Logitech. My only major complaint is that the Logitech is only available in black, my Tab is white so now I have an interracial tab which is fine as they actually look great together, when closed it looks like an oreo.

Works great, long battery life, not bulky, provides extra protection. If you have times you need a keyboard to speed up input this is the solution. You can also flip the tablet so keyboard is covered, also works as a stand for watching movies or videos.

This keyboard works great with my tablet. The fast keys up top are awesome for quick opening of apps. Makes the tablet very close to a laptop when needed, but easily fold down when you want to just use as tablet. Rechargeable and holds a really good charge. I was worried that when I closed the keyboard over the r a let that it was going to damage the screen, but it hasn't but still feels awkward.

I was looking for that next step for my student this year. She needed something more powerful then her notebook, portable, could run MS Office (needed for school), provided an actual keyboard (the touch screen keyboards are not conducive with productivity), was powerful enough to run her apps, and could help her graduate her graphic design skills from her DS3. The Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 & Logitech - PRO Keyboard Case combination were a perfect match, and at a fraction of the price of the Microsoft Surface Pro and keyboard combo.

While my wifes Iphone demands an Otterbox, and has been dropped countless times; Her Samsung 12" Pro Tablet isn't abused nearly as much and needed to fit in a purse (replaced a 17" Dell Laptop). While the keyboard needs a second charger, it lasts several days on just one charge. Tactile feel is really good, which is most important. Stability and durability should be fine, but we will know in 6 months if it withstands the rigors of a global traveler.

The Logitech Keyboard has a better design for mobility than the Samsung Keyboard. The Tablet can fall out of the Samsung Keyboard stand which could be a catastrophe. The only negative that I've had over the past 3 months is when the Tablet was updated to Lollipop and there was a programming error that prevented the tablet from communicating the keystrokes with the keyboard.

I really like the keyboard. It fits me and is easy for me to use. I am less happy with the way the tablet fits into the case. It is not as secure a fit as I would like. I will probably purchase the Samsung keyboard case made for the tablet.

5.0.2 Update Warning - When it was working: GREAT!

Be forewarned that if you purchase this product and your NOTE 12.2 (I have the 12.2 Pro) and you decide to update to Android 5.0.2 this accessory WILL. NOT. WORK; as of July Ninth, Two-Thousand and Fifteen. Neither Logitech or Samsung have an answer as of this writing. Samsung will blatantly decline any assistance as it is a third-party accessory; they most the will ever ask is if you performed a factory-reset and if that was done correctly,... Logitech has, again- as of this review, not made any type of response. It's a shame and owners of this keyboard now have a glorified stand-up sleeve. Let me state: when it was working it was a fantastic accessory for the Note tablet. Probably, one of the finest for this device! It's a no-nonsense device, elegant, could take a beating (I've dropped it A LOT,...) and the battery life was/ is great (getting even better now that you can't even use the accessory)! Crisp keys, nice function buttons, and really responsive- everything I expected a blutooth Android keyboard would do/ have- it has! It's also designed so that you can pull the stylus out without incident. Again, should this issue be rectified I will be glad to redact this review but I cannot recommend this device as it stands today.

I like everything about this product. The keys on the board at good sized, and it had all the features of a desktop keyboard. I like the Bluetooth feature that connects the tablet to the keyboard...no USB connector needed. I give it 4 stars because: when I switched off the Bluetooth on the keyboard the touchscreen keypad didn't appear at all, I could only use the Bluetooth keyboard which irritated me. I like options; I corrected this issue by deleting the 2nd user acct, turning off the tablet, re-starting the tablet & logging into my initial user account. It corrected, so I started up the 2nd user account & the touchscreen keypad worked for both users. Other than that, this devise is good.
