Setup was easy to follow instructions. Cameras came with long 100 ft cables which made it easy to place through attic. Video is crystal clear and zoom is awesome. Price was reasonable if not cheaper than other systems. I get alerts direct to my phone when there is something on camera after I set it up for zoning for motion. Works great and have not had a problem.

they have very good customer support from Lorex. The camera show very clear. Night time if there is sufficient lighting outside, the camera will show colored. The frame rate for the 4k video sucks. You have to sacrifice the 4k to get 30fps.

This was my first purchase for a home security camera and I am not disappointed at all. It was a great vale for the price. Great quality image and easy to install. My only complaint was that they should provide longer cables for installation.

Bought to replace an old 0.3 (960h) megapixel system. I am very happy with the clarity, can finally read license plates and see detailed facial features. These cameras have a slightly wider viewing angle which i like. The recording of 7 frames per second have not been an issue either and to get the higher framerate doubles the price. I was able to use existing wiring from previous cameras. My only complaint is when motion is detected it sends a low grade pic via email and only one pic. My old system sent 3 pics 2 seconds apart. But unsure what other brands do, so I stayed with the Lorex. Also the whole vehicle/person motion setting somewhat works but certain flying insects with still set off the email alarm (if you have it turned on, to save HD space one could have motion set on and email off). Night time viewing is incredible. With the outside light, that camera stays in color mode. The cameras not by a light source can easily see 100 feet. Very impressed with night and daytime video quality. So happy I spent a little more and purchased the 8mp. I installed 1080p at the parents and while very nice, this 8mp has a lot more detail. The 2tb hd or larger is a must have IMO. With 8 cameras recording i get one week before hd overwrites existing data. I could save some space by having some cameras record only on motion. I highly recommend this Lorex system.

If you are looking for a good quality camera system here is it. Everything you need, good length on wires from camera to dvr, easy hook up, watch from your device while you’re gone, motion sensor, alarm sound and led flash, multiple ways to record. Night vision better than expected, just an all around good quality system.

Had some recent prowlers so picked up this system. The cameras have great range. They don't move or anything, but I don't need them to. The install was pretty easy, just needed to run the cables exterior and mount the cameras. The control unit is quieter than I expected. There aren't a bunch of good instructions or anything, so doing things like setting up the areas of the camera view you want to have alarm audibly took some trial and error, but it worked. I still haven't figured out how to get it on my cell, but don't really need that since you can hear the alarm clearly throughout the house (and outside!). After messing with little details for a few days, I have it setup pretty well. I figured out how to get to the latest alarms and watch that video to see what set it off. That helped me understand that wind in the branches can do it, bugs that fly close to the camera, even steam coming up from the dryer vent when there is no breeze. I really like that there is night vision. Not a light that shines out there, but true night vision. It's like it's day out when it's pitch black. Awesome! One thing I hope they develop is longer cables so I can get my last camera on a hard to reach corner. I need longer than the 100' exterior cable they offer. Interior goes farther. I recommend this item.

These cameras are great for security and very easy to set up. The app works also works great for remote viewing. The night vision is also a plus, has a very clear picture. Would absolutely recommend this product to any one looking for a camera system for home security.

Good security cameras. They can be connected to Smart TV. Our TV is 70 inches and it showed perfect video playback or real-time. Good night visual with no light. Easy app to watch on your phone with notifications if any activity happens. I will definitely buy more to extend the other side of my property.

Purchased this camera system as a Christmas gift. The initial hookup is very easy. We did have to buy extra 4k wire because what came with wasn't long enough. I wish additional wire could be bought at 25ft length cause that's all we needed. They only sell 100ft of the 4k wire. The camera picture is pretty good. I am still having issues viewing it from my phone. My BFs phone works but when we try to add me as an additional user it does not work. I'll need to contact lorex. I'd recommend hooking the cameras up where you have or can place spotlights on your house because the picture is way better having a light there then without.

Great camera quality, easy to instant and set up. When removing the camera bracket that holds camera broke, along with the cable connection (only on 1 camera with cable). Other then that great product, picture quality on the TV, and app look great.

We bought these cameras because we didn't want ones with batteries any longer. There are all wired and very easy to install. The picture is very clear and we are able to view all of the cameras on the television. Overall, we are very happy with this purchase.

Everything was nicely organized in the package, easy to open up, install and get running. The image comes out clear and going to playback is easy. You can watch it all or choose only when there's movement lots of memory space! The cords are all very long easy to reach anywhere in my condo. Very happy with this system. I did think it recorded sound though and it actually does not unless on its own, you have to but separate mic's for the cameras for that

Needed security system camera for our restaurant. Saw these on sale and bought them and head gig squad install them for me. Love the cameras and the ease of use on the app. The only thing I wish you could do would be watch video playback in double time.

Running the wires is the worst part about the set up. But it's super easy to plug them in and start viewing the footage. The cameras have a nice wide view and clear image. Night vision looks great. This is a nice upgrade from our older system.

Purchased on deal of the day. Good clear picture but probably need 4k monitor for crisper zoom viewing. A little cumbersome getting through all the feature setups, but managed by staying at it with some trial and error. Would be nice if this came with a audio recording camera but that apparently is a separate purchase and alarm siren a little weak but still could be an effective deterrent. Overall satisfied with the purchase.

The DVR and included cameras work very well, but it is a very limited system. When I tried to add to the system, it turns out that this specifc DVR has limited options for adding cameras. The Lorex website shows numerous options, but none are available. Prior to leaving a less than optimal review, I have tried to contact Lorex to see if other cameras would be available or are discontinued, but have had to send messages 4-5 times to get a reply, and then if I reply to the response I never get another reply. What it does, it does well, but limited options for expanding and you are basically on your own working out problems.
