Great, but Not Essential for those with a Wii U

The main addition is Battle Mode which includes traditional balloon popping along with various other game modes like a keep-away Shine Sprite mode. The best thing I can say about it is that it's a perfect showcase of what the Switch can do. I was eating lunch with a friend once and afterwards asked them if they wanted to try it since it was with me at the time. Splitting the Joy-Cons apart and setting the Switch up on the table worked perfectly, although the screen was a bit small. Having something so well-built for two players, regardless of setting, serves the Switch well and has me using the Switch in ways I wasn't expecting.

Fun for the whole family

I especially like seeing the tracks from the older versions but they are all updated and even better. Game controls are easy to use and there are many levels that make the game fun from beginner to expert level gamers.
