I’m going to return this item. There’s no volume from 1-5. The sound is good but doesn’t go very loud. I have a Marshall Stanmore and it’s amazing. I was expecting more from this Bluetooth speaker.

Hello there, thank you for the review. For bigger sound, we suggest trying one of the larger speakers. If you want a portable speaker, give the Tufton or the Kilburn II a try.

I love the style of this speaker it’s easy to carry and I tho k it looks pretty cool. Only thing is it’s not extremely loud and if it isn’t fully charged t won’t go as loud as it’s supposed to other wise I like that u can change the treble and the bass

I own 7 Marshall bluetooth speakers. In their first years, they made great products. Now, they do not. This is the last chance I gave Marshall. The Stockwell II has poor battery life, likely because there's no power button, so it just stays on. The sound quality is awful, mainly because both sides of the speaker are open, so there's no way for sound to reverberate within the box, instead the sound goes out in both directions, with a thin sound, as if the sound waves are fighting each other. The volume knob isn't linear. From 0-3, it barely turns, from 4-7, it stays around medium, and then from 8-10 it gets kind of loud. The bluetooth gets scratchy from 15 feet. Worst of all, Marshall has no telephone customer service. It's either stare at an online chat and correspond over email. Time to find a new brand.

Hi John, thank you for your review and feedback. We are sorry to hear that the Stockwell II isn't the speaker for you. The Stockwell II does have a power button: the volume button can be turned all the way to the left to power off the speaker. The battery life of the Stockwell II is approx 20 hours at medium volume. If you have been leaving the speaker turned on all the time, it makes sense that you are experiencing a shorter play time. Be sure to turn the speaker off (volume button dialed all the way to the left) to preserve the battery charge. The True Stereophonic sound (speakers on both sides of the product) will create an immersive sound. The sound will be dispersed from the speaker and bounce of nearby walls to create a 360 degree sound experience. It is possible that the Stockwell II is too small of a speaker for your preference, we recommend trying the Middleton II or Tufton model to get a bigger sound output.

I purchased this speaker expecting it to be lounder thsn my marshall EMBERTON, but I was disappointed! The only reason why I kept it, it’s because I love the look and it completes my MARSHALL collection.

The Stockwell II has an SPL rating of 80 dB SPL @ 1 m while the Emberton has an SPL rating of 87 dB SPL @ 1 m, this means the Emberton will be the louder of the 2 speakers.

This thing puts out amazing sound in a little package right out of the box. Way better t hbk an any of the other portable speakers I've bought......and it looks pretty cool. A little on the expensive side but you get what you pay for.

Some issues with the volume control. The WiFi is kept disconnected. The design and build is good. A big let down from Marshal.

Hello TunLS, thanks for your review.

The Stockwell speaker is a Bluetooth speaker, it doesn't offer WiFi connectivity. Being a smaller speaker, the Stockwell II has an SPL rating of 80dB. If you are looking for more volume, you might want to consider the Kilburn II (100.4 dB) or the Tufton (102 dB).

So far so good. I like the item. It has a cool factor. Sound quality is good. Could have more volume. I bought it for the retro look of a Marshall amp. Still to early for a review of long term is/life
